THE BLACK, FASHIONABLE, CHRISTIAN ARTIST WITH A LOT TO SAY

God made made us different, so let's not ruin that by living our lives trying to be like each other. Better to embrace the discomfort of being different, than the comfort of fitting in. I want to help us live out who were made to be for the sake of God's glory and the benefit of the world.

“When thoughts of giving up creep in and the idea of compromising on your beliefs settles in, feeling the weight & pressure of the world upon your shoulders, it is at the bottom of that pit when you have lost it all where the drive to get up and stand for a fighting chance will prove whether your hope is dead or alive.”

“Exile” is the first single off of Blaque Nubon’s upcoming EP, this single is inspired by a multi-layer of life experiences. The overarching theme is of the truth that we are all exiles in this world longing to go home.

And being black, growing up in a township, attending “multiracial schools” and being a young married Christian in the hip hop culture, all this has built into the feeling and experience of being exiled at every level for Nubon. The song further communicates the hope that all of this happens, not by chance but with God’s sovereign intent.

It features Lilly Million, who brings a rich solid base to the song, with her voice that holds together all the vibrant new age anthemic pop sounds produced by Street Carnivore. Which then amplifies Blaque’s cinematic lyricism, that explores his multi-layered reality.
