Franz Kirmann is an intriguing new addition to the FWD.DJ roster. With a nearly 20 year span in electronic music, he's created lauded TV and film scores(including work with Tom Hodge) and releases avant-garde albums on Denovali Records, Bytes / Ransom Note, Club AC30, Lona Records and his own Days Of Being Wild records that he created in 2009. It's been.... quite a year. FWD.DJ is thrilled to re-emerge from the stress bucket of 2020 with a live set from one of our favorite musicians: the eminently multi-talented KiloWatts. Brian Zajak, aka Fejká seamlessly, weaves his passion for Ambient, Neo-classical and Melodic Techno into sparse driving techno. Legendary soundscaper Bersarin Quartett graces us with a rare mix in celebration of both his fourth LP (released this month) and his upcoming performance at Saal 1 for the Denovali label night on the 23rd November in Berlin. The electro-acoustic and ambient world wouldn't be the same without the journeys that Bersarin Quartett has forged with his three LP's. Berlin based Darkjazz band Dictaphone have been making sublime music for a decade now. Over the years this band has achieved cult status with such luminary fans as Nils Frahm who recently included the song peaks from their Nacht Ep in his late night tales compilation. Using deep cuts from their vinyl collection they have put together a journey of 80’s experimental ambient and electronics from their original home of Brussels. This year saw their entire back catalogue (long out of print) re-issued by Denovali and this month will see a momentous ‘10 years of Dictaphone’ showcase performance at the legendary Saal 1 in the Funkhouse, Berlin. We are excited to kick off our second colab with Quite Calm Records and Denovali with this intriguing exclusive mix for FWD.DJ.

Mike Dehnert has been making some of the most interesting techno in the world since 2007. He also runs Fachwerk Records, MD2 and Colomabge, which amplifies this tradition with a handful of friends and colleagues. His sound is a perfectly balanced mixture of raw oomph and space station sophistication and fits right in to his regular appearances at Berghain and Tresor. ZES is an immensely talented Dutch producer who recently released his second full length album Closer, which is a carefully dialed odyssey of genre blurring and invigoratingly original work. Liquido hails from Copenhagen, Denmark where he presides over the upstart Nordic underground label Pattern Abuse. His musical influences are a hodge-podge of everything under the cold sun and that's reflected both in his personal output and the leanings of his label. Liquido came to fame in the early 2000s by throwing a range of illegal parties called "Other People's Property" which ended up earning him acclaim at the Danish DJ awards and broader scene. Here he's put together an exclusive ambient mix of moody and reflective music exclusively for FWD.DJ.

MINCO is a Berlin born and raised artist. Her sound is a brilliant fusion of Berlin clubbing sensibilities, a family lineage rooted in West Africa and an enlightening trip to South Africa, where she really fell in love with house music. For those who don’t already know, Satoshi Tomiie has been a pioneer of underground electronic music and a legend in his own right since late 80’s. Still an avid fan of electronic music and he continues to evolve his sound in a way that’s both authentic and current. Guy Andrews is a fascinating London-based producer and DJ with a surprisingly wide range of sonic textures and vibes. He mostly releases ambient, post rock mood heavy pieces which are as brooding as they are thoughtful. His production has landed him on a load of great label rosters including Houndstooth, Hemlock, Erased Tapes, Hotflush and Mesh. MUUI is a Berlin based electronic musician that's relatively fresh to the scene but has put his stake in the ground with a soulful and deep sound that's attracted significant support from some of the world's most established artists. Of particular note are his epic live sets that combine vintage and modern hardware into a tricky tightrope of sonic lushness. MUUI recently launched his own label (Here Now) and continues to produce head-turning tunes full force.
