Can Trump Tame The Budget?

Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. President Trump has just released his budget for next year. He pledges to deal decisively with fraud, waste, and abuse, there is plenty of that to go around. Federal agencies know if they don’t spend their entire budget, Congress may reduce their topline budget next year. So they spend like drunken sailors during the final month of every budget year. These end of the year spending sprees include purchases of inflatable games, model rockets, booze, musical instruments, and $4.6 million for lobster tail and crab. Every president before Trump has pledged to cut waste in the federal budget and every president before him has failed. But we’ve never had a president like him before, and and president Trump just may have the iron will it takes to return some sanity to our federal budget. May it be.
