Sounds of Silence, Museum of Communication, Bern, 2018
You are listening to a binauralized version of the 8-channel ORTF-3D recording of John Cage's piece 4'33'' without notes, which was created for the exhibition Sounds of Silence at the Museum of Communication in Bern. In the exhibition the recording was spatially reproduced and interactively accessible for the visitors.

In der Sonderausstellung «ERDE AM LIMIT» im Naturhistorischen Museum Basel (20.11.20–30.05.21)erleben Besucher*innen idyllische 3D-Soundscapes von noch intakten Naturlandschaften und eine binaurale Kopfhörer Experience über Naturgewalten. (Wir empfehlen auch für die hier zu hörende Version ohrumschliessende Kopfhörer)
In the special exhibition «ERDE AM LIMIT» ('Earth at the Limit') visitors experience idyllic 3-D soundscapes of still intact natural environments, and witness the sounds of the forces of nature when listening to a binaural audio rendering with headphones. (We also recommend circumaural headphones to listen to this sound example)
