Sometimes when it comes to recalling what the Lord has spoken, we rely on our notes or even on our very Bibles. That sounds right, right?
Well, God wants you to know that you have a REAL-TIME relationship with Him and that you can access His Word AT ANY TIME. You don't have to wait until you find it in your notes or in your Bible (or on your iPad or tablet…).
My pastor used to say it this way: "Thy Word have I hid in my heart, not in my notebook." He was reminding us that we should not rely on our minds to access God's Word. We should rely on our spirit, which is always in direct connection with God, and can receive or recall a Word from Him at any time.

We all know that God will not share His glory with another, right?
We often associate stealing God's glory with trying to take credit for something He has done. But consider this:
God says, "When you're not allowing Me to be Who and what I want to be through you, you're stealing My glory."

When situations seem hopeless, I've heard well-meaning Christians comfort others by saying, "God is in control."
While it is true that God is in control, we must not forget that He put us (born again Christians) in charge. WE ARE NOT POWERLESS! God has given us the authority to make things right in the earth. However, He will do through us only what we ALLOW Him to do through us. What will you allow Him to do through you?

In I Timothy 1:18 in The Passion Translation, Paul encourages Timothy: With this encouragement use your prophecies as weapons as you wage spiritual warfare by faith and with a clean conscience.
Don’t take God’s Word to you for granted. Meditate until you get the revelation. As you develop faith in God’s Words to you, they become your fighting words! Fighting words by which you wage a good warfare and win!

When we think about the word "decree," we often think of it on a large scale, like a king's decree, or in spiritual warfare: "I decree and declare."
In this episode of Discipleship on the Go, Katherine urges you to think of "decree" on a personal level:
Decree God's Word over YOUR life. Decide that God's Word is true for YOU. Make it legislation over YOUR life - first place and supreme authority. So shall it be established unto YOU. That's how you're able to submit to the Word of God and receive the grace of God to walk that Word out to manifestation.

Set yourself to be in agreement with the Word of God whether your natural mind comprehends it or not.
When you set yourself to be in agreement with the Word of God, you are making room for everything that is Truth to enter in and for Holy Spirit to minister it to you in a way that your mind will eventually understand. At the same time, you are saving yourself the trouble of having to unlearn religious untruths that will hinder you from receiving all God has for you. When you set yourself to be in agreement with the Word of God, Holy Spirit - the Spirit of Truth Himself - will block every untruth from entering in.
Trust Him. Set yourself to be in agreement with God's Word. You'll be glad you did!

As God ministered Isaiah 42:16 to me, He gave me a Word for you:
God says, "I will bring you, the blind, by a way that you know not. You are not blind because you refuse to see. No, you are blind because you are going to unfamiliar places, walking unknown paths and there are things you have not yet learned to see and recognize. But I’m going to show them to you and you will receive perfect vision.”
Perfect vision, anyone?

Whose eyes would you rather see through? Yours or God’s?

Welcome to a very special edition of Discipleship on the Go with Katherine Free!
It was during this session with one of my discipleship mentees that Discipleship on the Go was born.
My mentee had FaceTimed me with only 10 minutes before she reached her next appointment. She was facing a decision and didn't know what to do.
I ministered as quickly and as thoroughly as I could in those 10 minutes. Thus, Discipleship on the Go was born!
Listen in as I minister: Seek God for a plan.
Proverbs 3:6 in the Amplified Classic Translation says, “In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.” When you seek God for a plan, He will tell you exactly what you need to do, when you need to do it, and how you need to do it. It’s a straight way! With no negative yardage, no wasted money, no wasted time, no wasted emotional energy...
He tells you exactly what to do. Boom, boom, boom. You do it, and it’s done. Really. It can be that way! Sounds good, right?

Proverbs 3:5-7 is the perfect description of total reliance on God.
Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths... (AMPC).
In Isaiah 42:16, God says, "I will make darkness into light before [you]." He does this by shining the light of His revelation - giving us His insight. Can we have any better insight than the insight of God Himself?!
Selah!
Here's a thought: Let's upgrade to God's insight. Let's upgrade to God's understanding. How about it? Lean not to your own understanding. Put your total reliance on Him.

This is the time to master your focus.
In a time when it would be so easy to focus on the world around us, choose to focus on THE Blessing.
The Blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and He addeth no sorrow with it (Prov. 10:22).
As children of the Lord, we have THE Blessing. However just as water will not quench someone's thirst until they drink it, the Blessing will not make us rich until we walk in it.

Romans 5:20 tells us that where sin abounded, grace did MUCH MORE abound. In the midst of all that is going on today, we as the children of God STILL have the ability and grace to have more LIFE than all of the sickness, death, and lack that is taking place around us. Be encouraged! GRACE STILL ABOUNDS! And because of His grace, we can shine in this darkness. It's in the darkness that the light shines the brightest!

Can we really think like God? Sure we can! God communicates His thoughts through His Word - the Holy Bible. The more we study God's Word, the more we know His thoughts! When we ALIGN ourselves with God's Word, we are able to think God's thoughts!

The Lord's Word to me for 2018 is Alignment, Perfection, and Elevation. Agreeing and cooperating with God's Word (Alignment) will lead to the maturation and fullness (Perfection) of God's will in our lives, resulting in our being raised to a higher order of thinking to see ourselves as God sees us (Elevation), walking and operating in the authority that He has given us.
The degree to which we align with God's Word is the degree to which we will experience the perfection of His will in our lives.
