You know what's dope about the internet?
That you can reach out and have conversations with people who are doing good things.
I came across some of Edward's rope flow videos and went into the rabbit hole of his content.
So of course, as I typically do, I asked him if he'd be down to come on the pod show.
We cover a number of things including his journey in fitness, in life, the benefits of rope flow, why it works, and more.
The world needs better conversations. And this is one of them.
Sidenote: My side quest is to have as many jacked friends as possible. +1
"wisdom comes from multiple perspectives" - @NicPeterson
The beautiful part of the internet is all the wonderful people you can connect with.
And thus, all the perspectives you get to come across.
David is an educator, publicly elected official, speaks multiple languages, and loves all things fitness and nutrition.
We cover a bunch of topics including
how he learned French and Spanish in the last few years without apps like Duolingo
how he went from being a skinny fat guy who didn't have any genetic advantage to being year round lean and strong
his experience and thoughts on learning and being a teacher
and more David's IG https://www.instagram.com/davidhmurray/ Coaching, consultations, questions: www.linktr.ee/ranbirsanghera
Another great conversation with a former client. We talk about how important self compassion, perception, and strength are. Again, another conversation chock full of the important stuff.

One of my favorite humans and former client Bobby Hoyt aka Millennial Money Man joins me today. It's been 3 years or so since we worked together and we catch up on some of the keys in being perpetually healthy, lean and strong. And what it actually means to be healthy. Bobby is a successful online business owner and just all around great guy. And one of his great talents is to be able to take seemingly complicated things and simplifying them for the layman. And I think you really get to see that in how he breaks down how easy it is to get and stay in shape. I'll try to get time stamps in here because this was chockfull of great insights.

This is a series of message I sent to one of my online clients.
She had sent me this message:
tracked something that i label as annoying to track haha - progress
And of course I asked her how easy was it in relation to what she had assumed to be true:
It was easy, but more importantly, I opted to eat something @ the house this AM instead of grabbing a bkfst sandwich @ the coffee shop that was going to be a bit harder to deconstruct/track
Exactly.
So you can see that she used the 4 Lenses of Fat Loss:
✅ high enjoyment
✅ low calorie
✅ fast and easy
✅ easy to track
It's so important that we start to slow down so we can see how we're actually thinking. Our brain is moving so fast that thoughts move through so quickly that there is no space between them and you. So you believe they are 100% true.

Knowing and understanding only comes from application. Things like the Food Enjoyment Matrix may “make sense” in your head but true knowing comes from doing. I have been thinking about what was the actual path I took to get here. Becuase when we’re good at something, we forget what it was like to be that beginner.
How you can do the simplest things to get the biggest results. And why the fact that people think it’s more complicated than that actually prevents them from ever starting to begin with. Message me for coaching, programs, consults ranbir013@gmail.com
Questions before taking action leads to procrastination and non useful discussion. But when you take the next obvious steps, you find insight, more useful discussion, and rapid improvement in skill and fulfilling of desires.
Speaking the language of muscle will make it change. Plus some thoughts on creating reality
I talk about how I think about “missed” days and what I do to increase consistency of training and calorie targets.
Looking at food as good or bad is not a useful or pleasant framework. Here’s a better way….
The more mental bandwidth you need to solve the same problem over and over, the more likely you are to blow yourself up. Instead, make it simple, useful, and pleasant. Figure out a few recipes that you put on repeat. That’s how you make fat loss automatic and enjoyable.
I prefer to have a six pack and eat a donut. That’s what the food enjoyment matrix allows me to do. Take a few minutes and level up your food decision making.
If you eat what you like daily on repeat without having to think about it every day….results become easy and effortlesss and enjoyable
Better to know the frameworks than get an answer to a bullshit question that didn’t need to be asked in the first place
Don’t look at the survivors…look at all the people who didn’t make it to get the full picture.
If you know the specific ingredient that changes a muscle, you can change the muscle with virtually any equipment or program. Let’s gooooo
This question derails a lot of people through a waste of time and resource spent on things that don’t change behaviors. Don’t be that person.
Stop watching, reading, listening. Go engage with reality and collect true understanding.
Jk, but you really need to start doing this if you want to really make progress in the most fun way possible
A simpler way to do it. If you have questions, message me on Instagram @ranbir.sanghera

People draw their own monsters and then scare themselves. This is a quick insight how you can have a more relaxed and peaceful path to your goal. It doesn’t have to be hard and tumultuous. It can be easy and fun.
Maybe you want to work with me and get gains. Maybe not. If you do, listen to this and message me ranbir013@gmail.com
The Strength Method Nutrition levels allow you to build the basics of food freedom. Eat what you want when you want and stay ripped all year round. Most people try to skip to the fancy shit and ignore the fundamentals. Those people crash and burn. Don’t be one of those poor shmucks.
How you measure your day determines success or failure. Most people judge by “did I follow the plan perfectly” but that’s not helpful. Each day presents many obstacles that could prevent following the plan perfectly. Instead, if you change your measuring to “how well did I adapt to each circumstance”, you are ALWAYS closing the gap between where you are and where you want to be.
How I think about and navigate “road blocks.” Also how i make myself anti-fragile and able to make progress no matter ANY circumstance.
A client example of course corrections and closing the gap between where you are and where you want to be.
Doing “more” is not the goal. Closing the GAP between where you are and where you want to be is the goal.
Just kidding, this is about where to find time and money. Not really about smoking...but kinda
Using actionable items will actually take you from where you are to where you want to go. ....you can call them “tips” if you want
How to be a hard body and look good when you’re clothes are off...if that’s what you’re interested in
Explaining why what you think and feel has the biggest impact on health. Even more than exercise, medicine, food. And how people throw off their alignment by preaching certain things but not living and practicing those principles in their own lives.
I talk about why it’s important to think differently and not accept generalized statements like “sugar is bad”. I explain what fat loss is about and how to test things for yourself.
I talk about the 3 p’s, how to succeed regardless of any “problem”, and my spiritual and philosophical leanings.
I don’t just answer questions to answer Questions. I want you to get an understanding of what’s going on and why. So you can actually achieve your goal effortlessly and have fun.
What the food enjoyment matrix is and how it can change your life. Also why doing drugs, being high, and drunk is not cool. And how to change it
You gotta put together something that is specific to YOU. This is why 70% of the population is overweight
But how you can become one and actually learn how to read information and data in a way that leads you to success
No one has a problem with following the right steps of baking a cake. But learning the skill of eating anything at any time also has a specific order that has to be followed. Skills that need to be developed.
Juxtapose - one of my favorite words and a powerful tool (probably one of the most powerful) in your toolbelt or living a good life AND being jacked and shredded
You may never achieve your goal on your own. You might but it may take a lifetime. Or you can find your yoda and make more progress in 30 days than most people do in a lifetime.
Had a question about how to track the donut holes I eat. Context provided. Go enjoy a donut.
Jared is back and he brings HEAT in this one. We talk about how people say they are all or nothing when it comes to fitness and why that is a bunch of baloney. More importantly, Jared is extremely skilled at showing how we make rationalizations when it comes to fitness. We say things like "i'm an all or nothing" type of person. But rarely are we the "all or nothing" type of person in other areas of life. Awareness precedes change and Jared dumps a Costco-sized bucket of awareness on you in this conversation. I talk about how the labels you put on yourself or accept from others create your experience.
We've all struggled with finding a doctor who actually cares enough to spend time with you. We've all struggled with finding a doctor who actually cares enough to spend time with you.
To find out what the real problem is versus rushing you in and out with medications and no hope.
And that takes longer than the 15 minutes we typically get with a doctor.
Through my own journey, I found out that doctors were not helpful. They didn't know what was the root of my injuries and they suggested things like surgery without any clear indication of why.
I had a doctor once tell me that they wouldn't know if I actually had an inguinal hernia until they operated. I was smart enough to say, no thanks and kept searching.
Since then I've been on the search for doctors to add to my network. Doctors who I could refer clients to. Who would give them advice on healing and preventing versus saddling them with painkillers, surgeries and doubt.
Turns out, I was looking for Dr. Parikh.
We cover many topics in this conversation.
