"We cannot do everything, and there is a sense of liberation in realizing that. This enables us to do something, and to do it very well. It may be incomplete, but it is a beginning, a step along the way, an opportunity for the Lord's grace to enter and do the rest.” - Oscar Romero

We are in week 9 of our journey through the work of Oscar Romero and the way he preached the Good News of Jesus among the poor and oppressed of El Salvador.

As we continue to seek to create space to practice the ways of Jesus as the multiethnic family of God, remember, your whole self is welcomed into the community of God and the community of Kaleo. We will conclude our gathering with a meal. See you this evening, friends. You are loved.

You're listening to KALEO STORIES PART V — a unique time of storytelling by people in our community as we simultaneously invite Jesus to help us pay attention to the story of our own life. In this chapter, we'll hear stories about expectancy as we lead up to the season of Advent. “Isn't it a mercy that we never get cured of being expectant? It makes life so bearable. However regularly we are disappointed and nothing whatever happens, after the first blow has fallen, after the first catch of the breath, the first gulp of misery, we turn our eyes with all their old eagerness to a point a little further along the road.” Our storytellers are @staciej_thepeacepusher, Ricardo Zamudio Guillen, Valeria Bejar, @2livvy4u, and @jisun_myung. 🎙️
