We are not interested in motivating you. In many ways, the episodes are our personal observations and thoughts on how to be a good person in the chaotic world of business.

It is not designed to raise your adrenaline levels. It will not make you jump out of the bed. But, it will help you to persevere through the day.

This is not a growth hack, shortcuts or quick win orientated show. This is all about having the mental clarity and discipline to get a job done. It will be the companion to your long journey of being a successful business person. For the right person, this can be the secret sauce that makes you win big in the long run.

So, this is the deal. Every morning, you will get a short episode, around 10 minutes or less with one practical tips you can follow with the philosophy behind it.

You are welcomed to ponder about it through the day and figure out how to apply it in your daily life. Most likely, you will not notice a remarkable change in your life with just following the content of a single episode, but trust me - over time it will all add up as you practise more and more.

We have been taught that if we want more in our life, say, more money and wealth, or more achievements and wins in whatever that we desire to do, or more joy and happiness in your personal and professional life,

Then, we have to do more. Add more things to our to-do list. Add more into our already busy calendar.

Just for a second, I implore you to ask yourself: What if we have been thought wrong. What if the answer to getting more done is not addition, but subtraction? What if the approach that results in more is not the one that you add to feel more productive and busy, but the one that you substract to make it less difficult and to employ more focus?

"Bear in mind that everything that exists is already fraying at the edges and in transition, subject to fragmentation and to rot. Or that everything was born to die."

Marcus Aurelius said that in Meditations almost two thousand years before Science officially established the second law of Thermodynamics. Both of them implied that entropy or the disorder within a system will always increase.

With each energy conversion from one form to another, some of the energy becomes unavailable for further use. Turning on a light bulb shows that in addition to light, heat is generated and wasted. It is impossible to recapture that light or heat to do additional work. Hence, outside energy must be continually added to keep the system running. or to keep the light running.

In other words, Over time, a system that is not taking in new energy gradually becomes less organized, less productive and less effective. We cannot eliminate disorder from the system, no matter how much we try.

Everything we build, including ourselves, is constantly breaking down.

This is my public plea for the business owners, hiring managers and all of you to think beyond experience.

Experience is not what happens to you: it’s what you do with what happens to you. Experience is only a chance to learn. It does not guarantee any lesson or expertise. You can have many years of experience where you learned nothing or worse, you learned the wrong things.

Experience and credentials don't predict success. Many years of work experience at the same company or industry can mean that the person had a bad first year, and then repeated it 20 more times. Just because you did something for a long time, doesn't mean you do it well. Just because you are the parent of four adult children, doesn't mean you are an expert in parenting if your kids hate you in secret and hide things from you in fear of disappointing you. Quantity of experience proves nothing and promises very little.

Memento mori is a latin phrase that translates to remember you must die. It is a reminder of the inevitablity of death. It's reminder that we are all just mortals. Rich or poor, smart or dumb, a king or a crook, whether one lived an ordinary-average life or did something legendary - everyone dies one day, or is already dead.

I understand that thinking about death is scary, sad and uncomfortable.

However, I belive that Nothing is worse than living in denial that life is expiring as I talk now, and as you listen now. I am not saying this like how the politicians, insurance sales poeple or just fearmongers say to make you submit and buy what they are selling. I am saying this to make sure you keep the certainty of death and your own mortality at the forefront of your thoughts.

Why? Cause thats the only way to feel alive. To be in the present every minute of the day. 24/7 - 365.
