In 2018 homosexuality was decriminialised in India. Kshitija Deshmukh, Senior Commerical and Delivery Manager from Woolorths International, grew up in India identifying as a Bisexual Woman whilst being LGBTQ+ was still outlawed. Imagine being forced to flee your home country due to fear of being persecuted simply for loving someone. This is a reality for many LGBTQ+ and Intersex Refugees who find themselves wanting to call Australia home. Join us as we speak with Tina Dixson from the first Australian organisation to work exclusively on the issues of LGBTIQ+ forced displacement called the Forcibly Displaced People Network. Tina speaks from the view of being an LGBTQ+ Refugee herself, with her first job in Australia being at Woolworths Metro.
