The 'X' Zone Broadcast Network
Space Patrol is a science fiction-adventure series that first appeared as a TV series from 1950 to 1955 on ABC Television. The radio version was produced almost simultaneous with the TV version.
The radio series also ran from 1950 to 1955. The actors, writers, and director of the TV show were also the ones who worked in the radio adaptation. The series' main character was Buzz Corry, the Commander-in-Chief of the United Planets Space Patrol, who fights interplanetary monsters along with his partner Cadet Happy Osborn. Those characters were portrayed by Ed Kemmer and Lyn Osborn, respectively.

Whoever wears a special robot suit can be controlled by Gargoth, leader of the Cobra Gang. Cadet Happy is forced to wear the suit and attack Commander Corry. Meanwhile, a wealthy man is targeted in a longevity elixir scheme to be swindled out of his fortune.

Plans for a secret Space Patrol weapon are stolen by a woman who looks like the daughter of the Secretary General of the United Planets. The Cisco Kid was a juvenile western adventure. In many ways it was the radio show equivalent to the western B-movies of the time, complete with what sound distinctly like coconuts for horses hooves and wonderfully cheesy Mexican accents – “Oh, Ceesco, perhaps they will keel heem”. The show follows the on-going adventures of the Cisco Kid and Pancho, his loyal companion. Many of the stories follow a predictable theme, usually involve a good fight, and end up with Cisco getting the girl, or at least a kiss for his troubles. Since the surface war against the Asians some sixteen years ago Western society have lived under the surface of the earth. Mary was only six at the time so she does not remember much about the beauty that was on the surface. Now Mary was doing a study on the enemy at the university and for the last six months had been talking to Joe the only captured enemy. But now her father feared for her relationship with Joe as traitors are taken up to the surface and before they reach it they are affected by so much radiation they will die.
