Sometimes we regret not selling that stock. Sometimes we wish we could return to a relationship that’s no longer in our lives. Other times, we force ourselves to love a job we hate or stay with someone we know isn’t right—hoping things will somehow change.
We hold on because we believe life has to look a certain way for us to be okay. We can’t imagine it working out any other way. And so, we stay stuck—resisting where life is trying to take us, and suffering because of it.
This week’s episode invites you to let go of “one way” thinking and open up to life and all its possibilities. Maybe there’s more waiting for you than you ever imagined.
Tune in. You might be surprised at what’s possible.

For all the White Lotus fans out there, Season 3 gave us a lot to think about—especially the moment in the finale when the monk says we suffer most when we search for resolutions that don’t exist.
We’ve all been there: waiting to hear what our boss thinks about a project, wondering if someone’s romantically interested and they haven’t texted back, or hoping the market rebounds. We get caught up in needing things to turn out a certain way—and in the process, we lose patience, peace, and the present moment.
But problems resolve… and then new ones arise. If we’re always chasing certainty, are we also signing up for a lifetime of stress and worry?
This week’s podcast explores how we can find more patience and ease—even when there are no clear resolutions in sight.

Teddy Swims' poignant song called "Some Things I'll Never Know" can remind us that we often linger in the past, grappling with the difficulty of not knowing when someone stopped loving us or why something unexpected happened. However, once we process our pain, the desire to understand the unknowable can keep us tethered to our pain and prevent us from moving forward. This is a much-needed rebroadcast reminding us to let go of what we can't know and embrace the road ahead with all its hope and possibilities.

In a world full of uncertainty and chaos, it’s fascinating to see debates about the kind of hope we should have. Hope is deeply personal—what works for one person might seem unrealistic or even delusional to another. Hope is also what fuels us: to chase our dreams, fight for our rights, or simply make it through the day. Instead of questioning someone's hope, we should focus on the real danger—hopelessness and despair, which can paralyze people and prevent them from moving forward. In this podcast, I explore diverse perspectives on hope and how it can empower you, even in the most uncertain times. I hope you find a perspective that resonates with you and helps you stay active in your community, pursue your goals, and open your heart to a world of infinite possibilities.

After experiencing heartbreak, job loss, or significant disappointment, we're often encouraged to "move on." While well-intentioned, this advice often overlooks the truth that healing is a journey—one that takes time to transform wounds into wisdom. The encouraging news is that as we heal, each moment offers fresh opportunities to move forward, grow, and create new beginnings. This previously aired episode feels especially timely for the moment—tune in for an inspiring take on finding hope and renewal.

Most of us don’t realize that the decisions we make each day aren’t guarantees; they’re more about probability or possibility than certainty. While this might initially make us feel stressed, this realization is actually the key to our freedom. If we truly accept that we can’t control everything, then neither people nor situations can control us either. Listen to this podcast to discover how letting go of our need for control—and the control others have over us—can open us up to embracing uncertainty and all its limitless possibilities. We can make decisions guided by the wisdom we have, trusting it’s for our highest good, and access the infinite potential of an unknown future!

In this episode, I share my latest article, "What Happens If Your Candidate Doesn't Win? How We Can All Move Forward," featured in Maria Shriver's Sunday Paper. I explore the six principles of uncertainty and why not knowing the future is actually a good thing. Uncertainty is always our ally if we want our lives to change or to improve the lives of our community and the world. Listen to this podcast to hear the article and discover why the Maybe Mindset is a tool for everyone in the United States and around the world. Life has Maybe, and never give up hope —the future depends on it!

Letting go of the past can be incredibly tough, especially when we’re faced with moments we wish hadn’t happened or find hard to accept. This hit home for me just last week when my almost 92-year-old dad took a fall on cement. During those first few hours in the hospital, I found myself caught in a cycle of resistance, replaying it all in my mind, wondering what we could have done to prevent it—essentially arguing with reality. My lack of presence wasn’t helping my dad or the situation.
In this episode, I share a process to help you embrace your current circumstances (even if you don’t like them), stay present, practice gratitude, and lean into uncertainty as your ally—especially during challenging times. Tune in to discover how this approach can bring clarity of thought, reduce stress, and add more ease and hope to your life.

The world often makes us feel that the key to solving our problems and getting ahead is to speed up and push forward. However, we rarely take enough time to be fully present with our challenges. We often act in haste, driven by fear or discomfort with uncertainty, reacting without a clear plan. But when we can slow down and allow ourselves to be in the moment, we open up to where the situation is leading us, bringing greater clarity of thought and opening the door to new possibilities and opportunities. Listen to this podcast to learn how we can slow down, embrace the moment, and unlock new possibilities for growth. Ironically, slowing down is often the faster path to success.

I’ve had an incredible few months—delivering a TEDx talk, launching my book, and publishing articles in a major online outlet. But then, everything slowed down last week. Book sales dipped, no interviews were scheduled for that week, and I grappled with the emptiness in front of me. Instead of embracing the stillness, I resisted it—until I remembered that everything happens in this empty space, uncertainty is my greatest ally, and endless possibilities are born from it. Tune in for the full story on how I reconnected with joy and the power of Maybe, and find inspiration to keep your dreams alive, not by grasping, but by allowing life’s beautiful new possibilities to unfold.
We all know we can't predict the future, yet we often act like we can—especially when negativity creeps in. When challenges arise, it's easy to believe things won't get better. Even when pursuing our goals and passions, our need for certainty can limit us, causing unnecessary stress and suffering. We often become so focused on how things need to happen that we lose sight of being open to all possibilities, sacrificing our presence for a future that may never come. As a translation of a Rumi quote says, "What is fear? A non-acceptance of uncertainty." In this podcast, learn how to set your intentions, create actionable steps, and release the need for certainty and specific outcomes. By doing this, you'll stay present, resilient, and plant the best seeds for your future!

Above all, my sincere wish is that this podcast has contributed to less suffering and more joy in your life!
As I prepare for my first TEDx talk this Saturday, I’ve been revisiting some of my podcast episodes for inspiration. Yes, I listen to my podcast too! One episode from last year really resonated with me, where I explored a powerful quote by Jenifer Lewis: “We need to be happy on the way to happy. You carry yourself wherever you go.” Jenifer reminds us that true joy and peace can’t be sustained if we rely solely on the external world to hold us together. Instead, we must cultivate happiness and gratitude within ourselves, both during good times and when faced with challenges.
This episode moved me so deeply that I felt compelled to share it again. Whether you’re on a journey of personal growth or simply seeking a moment of peace, this podcast offers valuable insights to help you find joy and contentment at every step of your path.

Many of us perceive Karma as the principle of "what goes around comes around." We often invoke it when someone wrongs us personally or in business, expecting them to face repercussions for their actions. However, sometimes we cling to this notion more than we focus on our own healing, neglecting our personal growth and the pursuit of our passions. After all, even if that person does face Karma, it doesn't pay our bills, ignite love in our lives, or contribute significantly to our journey of self-discovery. This podcast encourages listeners to redirect their attention to their own lives, especially after experiencing hurt or devastation. It suggests a path towards focusing on personal growth, embracing new beginnings, fostering love, and, above all, maintaining an open heart throughout life's journey.

And each beginning presents us with the hope and possibility that we can have the life we want from this day forward.

This podcast was released three years ago, and I am sharing it again today because of its powerful and timely message.

This is one of my most popular podcasts from a few years ago about trying to move forward from a painful experience. Sometimes, it is hard to let go and gain wisdom because we get stuck in the stories of who or what hurt us. And then, we use these stories to try to avoid the pain in the future. But, only the wisdom we cultivate from these experiences--whether it be greater self-love or resilience--acts as the true light, leading us to new possibilities.
"You may think that you are completely insignificant in this world. But someone drinks coffee from the favorite cup that you gave them. Someone heard a song on the radio that reminded them of you. Someone read the book that you recommended and plunged headfirst into it. Someone smiled after a hard day's work because they remembered the joke that you told them today. Someone loves themselves a little bit more because you gave them a compliment. Never think you have no influence whatsoever. Your trace, which you leave behind with every good deed, cannot be erased." - Unknown

I am reposting this podcast from a few years ago because it seems relevant to moving forward in this ever-changing world. Most of us know what it is like to have an unpleasant business or personal relationship—it can leave us feeling bitter. Even though a situation might not be fair to us, our bitterness can further shut our hearts to new possibilities. At some point, we may need to choose whether an experience will leave us “bitter” or “better.” It is not always easy to let things go, but if we can turn our attention to the “better,” we might find more expansion, opportunities, and wisdom in the days to come.
It can be challenging to "feel good" with so many people suffering worldwide. In a talk years ago, Wayne Dyer said, "you can't feel bad enough to make anybody else's life better." Listen to this podcast to start cultivating a process to embrace the parts of ourselves that we don't accept so that we move towards the deep and peaceful experience of "blind love."
Every day, it seems like we read a different article predicting the future of the pandemic and Covid-19. Listen to this podcast to learn how to start overcoming your fear of the unknown to pursue a life of passion, freedom, and happiness.
It continues to be challenging to navigate the lives we created before the pandemic began in a world that now looks and functions very differently. Most of us know that we can’t control everything in our lives. But, in an emotional sense, we forget this all the time. We get consumed with stress and worry over things that are beyond our control. If we can stay in our lane and focus on the parts of our lives that we can influence, not only can we find peace, but we will also be most effective in creating the changes that are possible in our lives.
One of the most challenging things is to stop blaming someone for the hurt or pain they caused to us or someone we love. But, at some point, our blame stops serving us. It creates a distraction and a bitterness that doesn’t always allow us to give the energy we need to make the best of what is still possible in our lives. Listen to this podcast to see if letting go of blame will help you create a new beginning.
My friend wrote me an email the other day titled, “Has The World Gone Mad?” She feels overwhelmed by world events and is finding difficulty with avoiding negativity and despair. Even during challenging times, despair and negativity are often connected to our need for certainty. It is our fear of the unknown that steals our hope and our inspired action to pursue the changes that we want to see. Nobody knows what will happen next, but uncertainty gives us hope that things in the world can still get better!
Many of us have trouble separating from the problems in our lives. If we have too many problems that we don’t like, we can start to believe that our lives are going in the wrong direction. At one time or another most of us have gossiped about somebody else. And whether we believe it feels good to gossip about someone who hurt us, someone who we resent, or someone we find totally outrageous, gossiping can have a real negative effect on our lives. Sometimes what bothers us about other people is a sign to look deep within ourselves and let go of old hurts, create better relationships, and find what would be meaningful to us. Listen to this podcast to move away from gossiping about other people and take a huge step toward creating new possibilities and opportunities in your life!
Wouldn’t it be great if we could get through a day without any stress or worry? In order to accomplish this feat, we need to look at the root cause of why we actually get upset or stressed. Sometimes it has little to do with what is actually happening in our lives and much more to do with the fact that whatever is happening makes us feel insecure or unsafe. Listen to this podcast to discover the key to finding safety within ourselves to cultivate the ability to get through a day without any stress or worry!
Years ago, I would hear the phrase “it is what it is,” and I would think it meant the person saying it was losing hope and giving up. But now I understand that the phrase is about acceptance, which can lead us to new beginnings—ones filled with new relationships, new opportunities, and new beautiful moments to experience. Acceptance is the springboard for hope and can lead to what is possibly the greatest peace we can feel in our hearts.
Many of us will make New Year’s resolutions over the next few days. It can be quite inspiring to set our intentions and goals for the new year. However, these resolutions are often hard to keep as we lose steam when unexpected things happen or when things don’t work out as planned. This is why committing to a resilient perspective can be the most powerful New Year's resolution to find joy and success in 2020!
Many of us hold regrets about things we did and didn’t do in 2019. However, regret is nothing more than a made-up story that we tell ourselves about how choices we didn’t make “would have been better.” The truth is that we can never truly know the outcome of a choice we didn’t make. All we can ever know is here we are in this moment with the hope and possibility that we can have the lives we want from this day forward. 2020 can be a new beginning filled with new possibilities!
Some days our personal relationships are good, and other days they can be tough. We can have a good day at work, and another day, lose our job. Listen to this podcast to learn tools to shift your inner dialogue and commit to not letting outside events make you feel bad about yourself. You got this!
Many of us fear that unexpected events in our lives will bring us pain and sorrow. We forget that the unexpected can also bring new jobs, new relationships, and new possibilities—many of which we can’t even imagine in this moment. If we fear the unknown, we also fear the unexpected changes that might bring us wonderful things. Listen to this podcast to learn how to embrace the unknown so we can experience less stress and more success in the days to come!
There are moments in relationships and in business that are stressful or hurtful, and our initial thought might be, “I need to change this right now.” But sometimes our first reaction to a situation will not lead to our best decision. Life has uncomfortable moments, but sometimes we need to sit in that discomfort before we know the right answer. When we don’t allow discomfort, we often end up exchanging one problem for another.
Sometimes we believe our dreams of starting a business, finding a new job, or starting a new relationship are not possible. We look at our current circumstances and can’t imagine that things might change. In these moments, it is best to remember that asking that our dreams be fulfilled is not a one-way street. What we feel that we desire from our hearts, life is often desiring from us. Hold on - your dreams are real and filled with possibilities!
Everybody has problems, big and small. Often, how we live with these problems is just as important as how we overcome them. Listen to this podcast to learn how we can face each day with more resilience and strength, trusting that we can handle whatever comes our way.
Most of us know what it is like to have an unpleasant business or personal relationship—it can leave us feeling bitter. Even though a situation might not be fair to us, our bitterness can further shut our hearts to new possibilities. At some point, we may need to make a choice about whether an experience will leave us “bitter” or “better.” It is not always easy to let things go, but if we can turn our attention to the “better,” we might find more expansion, opportunities, and wisdom in the days to come.
How many times have you scrolled through your Instagram feed and started to feel bad about yourself? Sometimes certain photos or ads make us feel that we need to be or look “better.” But our true greatness shines when we see our own perfection— accepting ourselves just the way we are. Your true self is the easiest person to be, and being true to yourself is the best path to find real joy and success in life.
We are all aware that we have blessings in our lives. However, when we get upset about something, the pain or suffering we feel can drown out everything else. Listen to this podcast to learn how to keep the awareness of our blessings—even through difficult times. Remembering our blessings sometimes helps us see the sun even on our darkest day.
It’s quite natural to want people to like us, but sometimes it causes us to compromise ourselves. Sometimes our need for people to like us prevents us from speaking our mind, which makes our relationships misaligned or puts our goals out of reach. Listen to this podcast to find the clarity and strength to stop centering your focus on making people like you and instead emphasize living a meaningful life with more joy, ease, and success.
How many times has someone said to you “let it go and just be happy” when you were really stressed about something in your life? While it sounds like great advice, often it is hard to just let go of our thoughts when we are stressed or worried about our jobs, children, financial situation or love life. Listen to this podcast to learn a method to emotionally prepare for unexpected or upsetting events so you can “let go” of some of your stressful thoughts and live with more joy and ease in the days to come.
I think most of us know what goals we want to pursue in our lives, but many of us are afraid that we can’t achieve them. So either we pursue these goals with tremendous fear and worry, or we don’t pursue them at all. But there's a wonderful phrase that I love to use that always helps me focus on my goals while letting go of the fear that my dreams are not reachable. I'm always amazed at how one little phrase can change my perspective. Listen to this podcast to learn this wonderful phrase and how it can help you pursue your goals with less fear and worry!
Many of us do not pursue our goals or passions because we think that the “right time” has passed for these opportunities. We forget that time is not our enemy, but rather it is a blessing, giving us space to allow new possibilities to unfold. Neither your ability to find meaning in life nor your ability to manifest is bound by time. No matter your age or circumstance, there is still time for you to live your best life!
I recently attended a book talk by Paul Selig, a clairvoyant and spiritual channel for The Guides. During the talk, Paul stated “What you bless, blesses you. What you damn, damns you in return.” It can be challenging to bless those who hurt or betray us when we only want to damn them. But it may just be the key to our freedom. Please listen to this podcast to stop damning the people that hurt us and live more in the blessing of our lives.
September is a great time to reset! The summer is often an expansive time during which we spend more time outside, take some time off, and regroup with family and friends. We are usually in a better mindset to make some new commitments. However, whether we can keep these commitments often has to do with our ability to stay aligned with our core beliefs or life philosophies. Unfortunately, when we get stressed and worried, we forget these beliefs. Fear kicks in, moving us away from our true desires. Listen to this podcast to commit to your core beliefs so that you can reset and pursue your goals in September!
Uncertainty is very difficult for many of us. Some of us struggle with the unknown because we fear that we will lose something we love in the future. There is a mindset that you can embrace to live with more hope and possibility in the unknown future. Listen to this podcast to learn about this mindset and find a freedom to experience new adventures, joy and achievements.

We can be overworked, stressed, or even generally chaotic about current events, any of which can cause us to lose our footing. This podcast will show you how you can easily create your own mantra, whether it be a word or an inspirational quote, that will can lead you back to center, helping you let go of your stress and worry.
Many of us know how painful it is to be rejected based on whether we are “good-looking” or not. Some of us feel like we have no agency in the world if we don’t come in a particular package. Yet, we have the power to transcend these belief systems to assert our true power. We can only control our own perspective, but our own perspective is enough to find our value. We can align with our true worth and forge forward with greater focus on our goals and dreams. Listen to this podcast to find your own belief system to capture the most in your life.
When we expect things to happen and they don’t, we can feel disappointed. However, we often fail to realize that our expectations are merely stories that we write about how we think life will move forward. If these expectations aren’t fulfilled, it doesn’t mean we aren’t still okay. We often have many possibilities to still achieve our goals. Listen to this podcast to learn how to expect less, and gain so much more in your life!
Whether it's overeating, smoking, or drinking too much, many of us have a bad habit that we want to break. Most bad habits start by alleviating some of our suffering, providing some relief. The problem arises over time, as most bad habits wear us down emotionally, physically and spiritually. We rely more and more on this habit to give us relief from our stressors while the habit wreaks havoc in our lives. Listen to this podcast to learn a three-step method that can help you break a bad habit and make better choices for your joy and well-being!
When we care about people, we feel the urge to give them advice when they struggle. But sometimes we give advice when people don’t want it, which can make them feel like we don’t trust them to handle things on their own. They might just want us to listen and be present for them as they figure things out for themselves. If we do have important wisdom to share, we can always ask the people we care about if they would to like to hear our opinion. This way, we can respect their boundaries and make sure that, if we do give them advice, they will feel supported and loved.
So many of us feel dissatisfaction with some aspect of our lives. When we think about achieving our goals or bettering our lives, we can feel as if our lives are not good enough today. Of course, there is nothing wrong with striving to better ourselves, but it sometimes can come at the cost of overlooking the glory of what is right in front of us. Our entire lives can open up if we recognize that this moment is enough. Now, this doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try to improve our lives, but allowing this moment to be enough is a key to joy and satisfaction. It also allows us to be our most creative selves. As we embrace everything that is possible right now, we create the perfect springboard for a brighter future.
Our friends and family can tell us their opinions on what to say, where to go, and what to do, but only we can know the lives we truly desire. However, many of us don’t take the time to be quiet so that we can come to know who we are and what we want. We don't realize that through the quiet we can feel our passions, our desires, and our peace. We can cultivate a true understanding of our individual life purpose, finding more joy and success in the days to come. Listen to this podcast to find out how you can find some quiet in your life!
Most of us have had an unexpected or painful experience in our lives from which we’ve tried to mine lessons or morals to help us move forward. But sometimes we aren’t able to find true wisdom because we get stuck in the story of who or what hurt us. And then we use these stories to try to avoid the pain in the future. Yet eventually, the stories hold us back. It is only the wisdom that we cultivate from these experiences—whether it be greater self-love or resilience—that acts as the true light, leading us to new possibilities.
Self-texting is therapeutic. Sit down and text yourself when your emotions are running high or when you need to express yourself without worrying about how it will make someone else feel. When you send the text to yourself (instead of the original intended recipient), you get the opportunity to not only say what you need to say but to also press send! Then, when you receive the text, you have the time to read it and consider how the words sound. You get the space to cool off and be more thoughtful about how you communicate. Sometimes you might decide that these words do not serve you—sometimes you want to use other ones. And sometimes, you realize that you don’t need to send anything at all. Self-texting is an easy way to create less drama in our lives!
Over the course of a day, many of us accumulate all of the emotions we feel. We have trouble letting things go. In this podcast, I share a technique to help you put down the hurts, stresses, and disappointments even just for a moment so that you may enjoy what is in front of you. This technique will give you more space from your thoughts to help you achieve your goals and find joy in everyday life.
Endings can be so difficult and unexpected. We can lose a job, a relationship, a loved one, or our health. Regardless of what the circumstances are, endings can leave us devastated and directionless. During these times, it is best to remember that with every end eventually comes a new beginning. Maybe life will be better naturally or Maybe we need to make the best of whatever happened. Either way, uncertainty can be our best friend because it leads us to new possibilities if we are willing to keep our hearts open to all that can be.
People can say all kinds of stuff about us—about our looks, our intelligence, or even job prospects. And sometimes, it can be hurtful. However, we need to always remember that, just because someone says something about us, it doesn’t mean it’s true. In order for us to figure out what we should believe (and not believe), we need to be able to value ourselves enough to explore how we truly feel and what really resonates with us. We must clear away the outside chatter to allow ourselves to find our own truths.
We all have a vision of how we want the world to be. Most of us want to see more love and kindness— both in our daily lives and in the world. At the same time, many of us feel like we need to protect ourselves from a world that is cruel and uncaring. But if we close our hearts, we disconnect from that loving vision we have for both our lives and the world. An open heart may feel more pain, but it also has the unparalleled capacity to cultivate loving strength and resilience and inspire action to create the world that we truly want to see.
Life is always calling us forward, but sometimes we don’t listen. We stand still and say ‘this is my life, this is who I am, and this is what I do.’ But life isn’t stagnant—things change, we lose jobs, relationships end, we get hurt. When life changes and we are standing still, stuck in how we thought life would be, we can miss life trying to guide us towards the beauty of the moment and new opportunities that might come our way.
Some of us say we’re sorry all the time, but we don’t need to be! We apologize to get people to like us, to avoid conflict, or because we’re afraid to speak our mind. But when we say we’re sorry and don’t need to be, we are not valuing our true selves. If you did something wrong and you want to apologize, great—apologize! But if you are apologizing when you haven’t done anything wrong, you often step away from your true power and your ability to blossom. Please listen to this podcast to stop apologizing for being you, and keep sharing all of your wonderful gifts with the world!
Many of us compare ourselves to others with regard to our looks, our jobs, and the money we have (or don’t). Most of the time when we make these comparisons, it makes us feel bad about ourselves. We fall into the trap of believing that other people have more than us and that we will always be less than. There is nothing wrong with finding inspiration or direction from other people, but in order to realize our true power, we must honor our authenticity and find our own individual path to success.
So many of us try to protect ourselves by not trusting other people. Yes, we do need to try to make good decisions for ourselves, but if we make our entire lives about a lack of trust in other people, we will close our hearts to new experiences. A better approach may be learning how we can trust ourselves. This way, no matter what happens, we will trust that we can handle whatever comes our way, even if we get hurt. Focusing on trusting ourselves allows us to have the strength to open ourselves to our best lives.
Most people feel great when they can tie up loose ends, but we are often faced with situations where ‘closure’ isn’t possible. We find this most in our relationships with other people. We can have a bad breakup, an argument, or even a slight disagreement, and as hard as we try, we just can’t make things right with someone. The truth is that life can be messy sometimes, and all we can do is accept things as they are. Through our acceptance, we acknowledge that we can’t change the messiness, but we may still be able to gain wisdom. Hopefully, over time we can release the pain of not being able to be in a good place with someone we care about so that we can be open to new healing and relationships in the days to come.
Wouldn’t it be great to make your own rules, always be your authentic self, and love what you do each day? So many people these days are encouraging us to find our own path or follow our bliss. Although this can be a wonderful new journey, if we don’t love ourselves or have a secure identity, we will suffer greatly—we might not even have the strength to make necessary changes. Please listen to this podcast to cultivate self-love and resilience to launch your new journey and achieve your goals.
It can be difficult to navigate how to respond to people when they are rude or obnoxious to us. Our inclination might be to respond harshly, but this type of response can create more drama. Often it is best to take a pause and contemplate how our response will serve us. Sometimes it is best to let things go and other times we can cultivate a response that fosters our goals. Either way, focusing on how our responses will serve us moves us away from needless drama and towards more peace and joy.
Trying desperately to know ourselves can be just another way of being addicted to certainty. We seek safety in knowing our capabilities and our path to success. But defining ourselves as a certain type of person limits our possibilities. We end up stationary when everything around us is changing. If you want more success, then claim to know yourself less!
As much as we care about the people in our lives, there are many times that we leave important things left unsaid. We always think people know how we feel, but sometimes the people we care about have no idea how much we love them or how meaningful they are to us. Don’t leave it to chance. Time passes quickly, and we don’t want to miss out on giving one of greatest gifts we can give—that is, just letting those we care about know how deeply we feel for them.
There are certain events in our lives that will cause us pain and create suffering. Sometimes we judge ourselves too harshly for how we show up for these difficult events. We forget that others suffer just like we do, and that our pain does not mean we are weak or not able to handle what is happening. Everything is always changing, and suffering, too, is transient in nature. This awareness can help us ease our suffering, reminding us that life keeps changing and there is still space for joy, peace and possibilities in the days ahead
The problem we have with most relationships is that we think we know what the other person is thinking. But the truth is that we often have no idea what is going through the mind of our boss, friend, family, spouse, or boyfriend/girlfriend. We sometimes assume something that is not true. Listen to this podcast to learn how to pause and question our thoughts about the conflicts in our relationships. Maybe it can be the beginning of having less stress and more joy with the people we interact with every day. Just Maybe!
Some of us believe that we don’t have the right to feel upset about things because we have good lives or many blessings. What we often fail to realize is that any suffering can overwhelm our minds regardless of how seemingly insignificant the source is. If we are willing to acknowledge the validity of how we feel—whether the root is big or small—we can create an opening for finding a new perspective and letting go of some or all of our pain.
From our experiences, we know that the year to come will be filled with unexpected events. How can we prepare ourselves to deal with uncertainty with more strength and resilience? Listen to this podcast to find a way to embrace the unknown, helping you to stay strong and resilient no matter what you face. MAYBE how you show up for the future will open you up to new possibilities and opportunities for the year to come. MAYBE THE BEST IS YET TO COME!
Some of us limit how much we are willing to give to other people based on our past and fears. It's important that we examine our feelings towards giving because it can be such a meaningful and fulfilling part of our lives. The act of giving opens our hearts, enriches our lives, connects us to other people and overall makes the world a better place. A world we feel comfortable leaving to our children. This podcast will explore what holds us back from giving and how we can connect to the deep need to give within our hearts.
As the new year approaches, many of us are thinking about things that did not work out as planned or goals we did not achieve this past year. BUT NO NEED TO WORRY! You always have this moment, and in this moment, life always will offer you something new to experience. And the more you sit in the now, the more you will feel joy and satisfaction while allowing yourself to be guided towards a new year filled with hope and possibility.
Sometimes the holiday season is not always filled with cheer. It can be a time when we have more disappointment and conflict with relatives and friends whether at a holiday celebration or special event. However, it is also a wonderful time to let go of past and present hurtful situations, so we can start the new year with a clean slate. MAYBE the best New Year’s Resolution is to see our relationships with fresh eyes in the year to come.
A lot of people pride themselves on getting many things done at once, but what many people don’t realize is that when we are distracted and try to focus on multiple things, we often neglect the situation or the person in front of us, we don’t present them with our best selves, and we don’t get the best results. We also miss out on the most precious and productive part of our lives, which, in reality, is pure presence. When we are fully present we are able to launch new businesses, achieve new goals, make our relationships fulfilling and meaningful, and experience every wonderful thing life offers us in each moment.
Have you ever looked in the mirror and started to feel horrible about how your body looked? We don’t always realize it, but many of us have been programmed to reject our bodies, spending our lives searching for an ideal of beauty. Yet, the definition of beauty in the dictionary is “that which gives pleasure to the mind or senses.” This means we get to determine our notion of beauty based on what gives us pleasure. If we focus more on what pleases us, we might just find that our bodies are miraculous vehicles to experience the beauty of life. Listen to this podcast and in less than 10 minutes you can start to learn to look in the mirror with pleasure and see your true beauty.
Those of us who have a tendency to be people-pleasers usually want the best for other people. However, the other, more well-known part of being a people-pleaser is the need for everyone to like us, which often leads to anxiety, worry, and ultimately self-compromise. When we can give up people-pleasing, we can start thinking about the pleasure of speaking our minds, the pleasure of achieving our goals, and the pleasure of taking control of our own lives by letting go of the pain involved in trying to control other people.
For some reason, many of us tend to take our anger, discomfort, and frustrations out on the people we love most. We may insist that it’s because we are most comfortable with our loved ones, but we forget that without tender care, even the best relationships become broken. This podcast will give us tools to treat each moment with our loved ones as sacred and always be reminded that love is the bridge to everything wonderful.
If you were to look up the definition of ‘beauty’ in the dictionary, you would find that beauty is defined as “that which gives the highest degree of pleasure to the senses or the mind.” But are we truly cognizant of what actually gives us pleasure? Or have we been conditioned to be pleased by what the outside world considers beautiful? If our search for beauty is more about external standards of beauty and less about what truly pleases us, we often find ourselves living in a tremendous amount of pain and self-rejection. This podcast will aid you in recognizing what is beauty for you, supporting you to feel more whole, peaceful, and loving towards yourself.
Sometimes we want to be mean to someone because they hurt us. We blame them for something bad that happened, or we want to teach them a lesson. Even though we might feel justified, acting this way tends to bring us further from where we want to be in our lives. This podcast will explore six questions that we can ask ourselves to guide our decision-making, pushing us towards greater joy and success.
The society we live in routinely provides us with often fictitious images of what it means to be happy. These constructs—fed to us from birth—often attempt to answer the following three questions: What kind of relationships do I need in my life to be happy? What do I need to do to be successful? And who do I need to be in order to be happy and successful? Only we can answer these questions for ourselves truthfully, but these constructs are served to us as objective truths. Often, as we get older, we may come to discover that these images of happiness that we have been sold don't actually make us happy, don't really fulfill us, and don't give our lives meaning. This podcast explores how we can free ourselves of these seemingly inescapable constructs so that we may live a more authentic, joyful, and meaningful life.
Many of us try to hide aspects of ourselves that we think will not be accepted by our friends, family or society. We believe that if we can hide these things, people will accept us, love us, and validate us. Yet, hiding certain aspects of ourselves is quite painful because, in hiding, we cover up who we truly are, limiting ourselves from living our best lives. I hope this podcast can help free any part of you that is hiding from the world so that you may find more joy and sustainable success!
Many of us look for evidence to love ourselves in how other people see us or in experiences that should validate our worth. But the minute there's a bump in the road—whether someone leaves us, we lose our job, or we are rejected or disappointed— if there is not another source for that love, we are going to find it hard to move forward. We must recognize that we are the love that we seek if we want to stand steady. We are already everything we need to be to have joyful and meaningful lives.
Rejection can be very painful. Sometimes rejection makes us close our hearts and we start to believe that we can’t achieve our goals. This episode will discuss how we can have a different relationship with rejection. If we can find a way to nurture the pain, rejection can be a learning experience that leads us to an expansive place. We create a willingness to try new things and approach everything with less fear and more resilience. With a new openness to all that is possible, MAYBE the best is yet to come!
Sometimes looking at our friends’ social media accounts can make us feel like we are watching an advertisement on television, making us believe if we had what that person had we would be happy and fulfilled. But often it is not what our friends are actually doing that is making us feel bad. Instead, our friends’ posts are just sparking a lack of direction or meaning in our own lives. If we take the time to figure out what is meaningful to us, we can find direction and a reason to get out of bed in the morning. People find meaning in different places, including their work, a relationship, giving to others, or self-care; it just needs to be real. It needs to come from your inner self, and not from a place that just looks good to the outside world. When you find what is meaningful in your life, you will find it long lasting and satisfying, and it will bring a fullness to your life that is sustainable. With a life full of meaning, MAYBE the best is yet to come!
Always wanting more can prevent us from fully enjoying our lives today because we always think we have tomorrow. This "more" mentality can prevent us from bringing our best selves to this moment to create the lives that we actually want. This 10 minute podcast will show you how you can keep your goals and at the same time help you discover that today is "enough" in order to attain true joy, satisfaction and abundance.
It is often hard to be a positive thinker when we are going through a tough time or something unexpected happens. This podcast will explore a mindset that will give you hope and strength during difficult times and support you to still achieve your goals.
Every parent wants their children to flourish, but the fear that they won't or that things won't work out in their future can consume much of our day-to-day inner dialogue. The mindset of Maybe enables us to parent with less worry and more ease as we recognize that our children’s lives often are not determined by one moment and Maybe everything is or is going to be okay.
When we don't feel okay about ourselves everything that happens in the outside world defines how we feel about ourselves in our inside world. How can we alleviate this pain of feeling not valuable and stay on our path to achieve the things we want in life? You might want to consider that Maybe there is nothing wrong with you!
Some people think hope is the root of our suffering and others believe that hope keeps people inspired and moving forward. I believe most of us would find it difficult to get through the day without hope. Every business, every investment, every first date, and every other situation we embark on has hope packed into it. As a result, holding hope for the new year is the perfect mindset, as long as we remain flexible and fluid in the face of change and uncertainty. Life can take many different paths and each one is filled with potential to meet our objectives. Hope is the beginning of garnering all that's possible to improve our lives and make the world a better place for everyone.
Acceptance is a difficult issue for many people because it is about tolerating or making peace with something in our lives that we don't like or that causes us pain. But the key to less suffering and possibly finding a solution is to stop holding on to the way things were before our problem occurred or to stop holding on to the thought that things should have worked out differently. Resisting the flow of life will only makes us stressed and unhappy. It takes courage to accept life the way it is, but it is the beginning to finding peace and MAYBE even making our situation better.
One of the key reasons we suffer is because we often believe that this moment is not enough. We might have a problem we want to solve or a goal we want to achieve and we believe if we can just get through this period or reach this achievement then we can rest, smile and enjoy the fruits of our labor. But what if, by focusing on the one thing that will bring us future happiness, we are creating tremendous suffering in our lives? Listen to this podcast to learn how to embrace this moment as enough, still pursue your dreams and experience a true path to peace and joy.
Since my first podcast launched a few weeks ago, I have received many emails from people discussing their anxieties and worries about current events. Their concerns included fear of more mass shootings, losing their healthcare, or possible war with North Korea. Many of us can understand how these people feel and many of us have similar concerns. These types of events can make us feel vulnerable and it can be difficult to calm our fears and worries when we are bombarded constantly with upsetting news. In response to these emails, episode 4 addresses how we can alleviate our fears about these and other world events by embracing uncertainty as a place of hope and refuge.
