The DC3cast is a lively discussion about DC Comics, hosted by three Multiversity Comics (multiversitycomics.com) staffers - columnists Vince Ostrowski and Zach Wilkerson and editor Brian Salvatore. Discussions, interviews, reviews, games, and more can all be found on the DC3cast.
With Zach in the grave, Vince and Brian recap a couple of Bat-books, loving the artwork on one and not so much on the other.
This week, the boys go all in on a new team book and work through a bad premise to enjoy a new miniseries.

The boys end 2020 on a longwinded note, talking for 3+ hours about Grant Morrison's epic contribution to DC's Crises. Brian nearly gets himself kicked off the show for one take, and instantly has to pay for it by being responsible for editing this mess. Topics discussed include the "good" Peter Tomasi, the Super Young Team, the weird "Batman" tie-ins that aren't really tie-ins, and 180 minutes more.
In this special bonus episode, the boys dig into "Dark Nights Death Metal: The Last Stories of the DC Universe," "Dark Nights Death Metal" #6, and "Dark Nights Death Metal: The Secret Origin." These three books perfectly reflect the boys: the Titans simp (Brian), the Superboy Prime simp (Zach), and the meticulous note-taking, page by page breakdown simp (Vince).
Multiversity Manga Club co-host and longtime friend of the pod Walter Richardson joins the boys for a discussion of Jim Starlin's "Death of the New Gods." The story, which somewhat touches on the events of both "Countdown" and "Final Crisis," while fitting in with neither, is a spiritual sequel to "Cosmic Odyssey," so there's plenty of "Odyssey" talk, too.
With news of a number of March and April series spinning out of 'Future State,' the boys spend the first half of the show discussing these new series and attempting to read the tea leaves for what this means for the rest of DC's line.

This week, the boys dig into 'Trinity.' No, not the Matt Wagner prestige miniseries. And, no, we don't mean the weekly series from 2008. Despite what you may have heard us rave about after one issue, we also aren't covering the 'Rebirth' series. Nope, we are talking about the crossover between "Green Lantern," "Darkstars," and "L.E.G.I.O.N. '93" that brought DC's cosmic books together.
The boys dig deep into 'War of the Gods,' one of the best crossovers in DC's history. Topics discussed include: George Pérez's stellar "Wonder Woman" run, the seemingly endless deities in the DC Universe, that weird time when Power Girl was Atlantean, and Steve Trevor's other love.
"Armageddon 2001" starts off incredibly strong, before going impossibly off the rails. Topics discussed include: 900 numbers, Mallrats and superhero sex, the most insufferable version of Wally West, good Jurgens art, a dystopian future replete with floppy disks, and lots more.
1988's second DC event is about as far, tonally, from the first as possible. "Invasion" is a cosmic adventure from Keith Giffen, Bill Mantlo, and [checks notes] Todd McFarlane, and it does a lot of really interesting things. Plus, an error-filled discussion about the Darkstars!
Back in January, we covered "Cosmic Odyssey" as a sort of proto-episode of 'Crisis Management.' Because "Cosmic Odyssey" would be the next book in our major event list, we are rebroadcasting that episode today. We'll be back with a new episode on Wednesday, covering "Invasion."
