The Missing Voice is a podcast series exploring gender within the music industry, produced by Belfast based musicians, Isobel Anderson and Francesca O'Connor. Combining one-to-one interviews with group discussions and special themed editions, the aim of the podcast is to highlight the challenges around gender in music but also where progress and new opportunities are taking place.

The fourth episode is an 'in conversation' between Isobel and musician, composer and producer Chris Ryan. The topics convered include vulnerability, gender roles and the pressures of social media, and how to constructively discuss these issues together as musicians.

In the second episode of The Missing Voice, Isobel speaks to four women at the end of their undergraduate in Music Technology at the Sonic Arts Research Centre, Queen's University, Belfast. Like many Music Technology courses, they describe how they are a minority group of women - just six out of a group of 35 students - and how this has shaped their time during the course. They discuss how their confidence has developed and their ambitions for the future.
