Unfortunately, the mic stopped working about an hour in. I spoke for a few minutes before we realized it. Then, we got it back on.

My mistake! I meant to say, "Suetonius, the Roman historian, said Claudius, the Emperor, expelled the Jews."
Dr. "Charlie" Ray is an old friend from childhood. He specializes in the OT quotations in the NT. In this episode, we chat about his particular views that he presented in his dissertation. It was fun! For more on him, click here: https://www.nobts.edu/faculty/itor/rayciii.html

I mistakenly referenced Galatians 6 when speaking of spiritual warfare. Of course I meant Ephesians 6.
Note: I accidentally said, "Syrian Penteteuch" ca. 35min. I meant, of course, "Samaritan Penteteuch."

Larry Hurtado is Emeritus Professor of New Testament Language, Literature and Theology at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland (Professor 1996-2011). He was the Head of the School of Divinity 2007-2010, and was until 2011, the Director of the Centre for the Study of Christian Origins, at the University of Edinburgh.
Perhaps because of the great distance between myself and Prof. Hurtado during recording (a six-hour difference), a small echo creeps in.

It's tough to understand what scholars are talking about if you don't have formal training. I recently heard a great podcast on Unbelievable that I thought might be enhanced if I gave snippets and gave some further explanation of their points. For the full interview on Unbelievable, see here.
This is a live recording of a class I'm teaching on Healthy Boundaries. The sound quality isn't what I'd hoped, but it'll do.

When scholars, say things like, "Matthew's Jesus," what does that mean? Isn't Jesus just Jesus?
