we are seeking to Gather the tribe of Ephriam and learn to live Gods higher laws so that Zion can be redeemed before the coming of Messiah ben Judah. JST, Genesis 9:21–25. Compare Genesis 9:16–17 21 And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant, which I made unto thy father Enoch; that, when men should keep all my commandments, Zion should again come on the earth, the city of Enoch which I have caught up unto myself.

There is no office, credential, position, or authority required, other than God’s word to one whom He has chosen. The message is the authority. Prophecy, seership, and revelation are spiritual gifts, not church offices. The church cannot “ordain” a man as prophet.Christ told us specifically to know true prophets by their fruits. If there are no fruits, there are no prophets.A message from God is identified as coming from God. We cannot claim something came from God simply because a particular man spoke it. God’s messengers clearly state the origin of the message.

Those called prophets in the LDS church exhibit no prophetic gifts, but rather live and function as wealthy, celebrity rulers over an earthly kingdom we call a church.

True messengers are almost never recognized and heeded, but rather are persecuted, cast out, and often killed. This pattern has persisted as long as mankind has been on this earth.

The LDS leaders and members make the unscriptural claim that it is utterly impossible for them to lead us astray, even though every prior dispensation was led astray and degenerated into apostasy. Somehow, we’re supposedly immune to this constant pattern of human religious failing. Because we’re special. Or chosen. Or something.

But God has indeed followed the prophetic pattern again in our day, to begin restoring what was lost with the death of Joseph Smith. The Lord has sent a man named Denver Snuffer to deliver a message.

True to the prophetic pattern, the message has been rejected by those who claim they cannot be deceived, and the messenger has been cast out.

Let’s start with a very important question: Why is there a need for a return to the prophetic pattern in our day? The answer will require us to look at our history; if we want to understand where we are, it’s important to first understand how we got here. The Latter-day Restoration of the Gospel started in 1820 with Joseph Smith’s first vision. This signaled the end of the long night of apostasy as the Lord sent new revelation into the world and sent a true messenger to teach a true message. Faithful to the prophetic pattern, the one God called was a religious outsider, without title, credentials or worldly authority, yet he spoke for the Lord, having received the message by direct contact with Christ and angels. New records came forth and gospel truths long lost were again taught on earth. The flood of heavenly light between 1820 and 1836 was remarkable and miraculous.

Prophets, Part 3:

We Thank Thee, O God, for a Princess

Therefore, thus saith the Lord: Because of the hardness of the hearts of the people of the Nephites, except they repent I will take away my word from them, and I will withdraw my Spirit from them, and I will suffer them no longer, and I will turn the hearts of their brethren against them.

—Helaman 13:8

In the first two posts in this series, we discussed the fruits of a prophet, and the standard set by the Lord for discerning a true prophet. "By their fruits ye shall know them." (Matthew 7:20)

We also covered the fact that, without the fruits of prophecy, visions, and revelation, it's impossible to tell if someone is a prophet, seer or revelator. The fruits come by gifts of the Spirit, not by virtue of any office in the church. Sadly, these fruits have been absent from the LDS church for quite a long time—that is, we cannot point to any new revelation, prophecy, or vision to the church in the last hundred or so years.

When I have pointed out this fact to my brothers and sisters in the church, and even church leaders, the most common reply is that we receive revelation at every General Conference. Indeed, some regard every talk by the members of the First Presidency or an apostle as revelation—because these men are sustained as prophets, seers and revelators.

I disagree. As I discussed previously, prophecy and revelation are different than inspiration. Many church leaders give inspired talks by the power of the Spirit, teaching great truths. Many General Conference addresses share this common inspiration and are filled with light. But revelation is something more. Prophecy is something different than just a great talk.

The setting in order of the House of God will be a greater event than the Restoration. What failed in the beginning will succeed in the end. The miracles will be greater; the number of converts will be more numerous; the power and wealth of the Saints will be richer; and Zion—the New Jerusalem—will finally be built. Instead of the kingdoms of the world overcoming the Kingdom of God, it will be reversed.

The setting in order will be one of the greatest works of God among men. It will be called the “second great work” and a “marvelous work and a wonder”. Every true Saint should be eager and anxiously awaiting that event because Christ has promised, “Mine angels shall go up before you, and also my presence. . . . ” (D & C 103:20)

This will be the marvelous work and a wonder, for everything will change causing Babylon to fall and Zion to rise. The Saints will again seek for the redemption of Zion and the building of the New Jerusalem. They will be able to make that promised journey because Missouri will be swept clean of every image of Babylon and will be rebuilt according to the plan of God. Christ will reign personally on the earth as King of kings and Lord of lords, to give laws to the nations of the earth.

And “in that day shall the branch of the Lord be beautiful and glorious. . . and the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel.” (Isa. 4:2)

Then men will learn war no more and the earth shall have peace for a thousand years.

Even before the official 1905 statement was issued from the Church Presidency, several men were claiming the title of One Mighty and Strong:

There have arisen from time to time men of doubtful intelligence who have laid claim to be the one Mighty and Strong. * * * (CHMR 1:350)

It has been used by vain and foolish men to bolster up their vagaries of speculation, and in some cases their pretensions to great power and high positions they were to attain in the Church. (Des. News, Nov. 13, 1905)

One would think in such a matter as this that sufficient native modesty would assert itself to restrain a man from announcing himself as the one on whom such high honors are to be conferred, and who is to exercise such great powers in establishing the Saints in their inheritances. (Mess. of the F.P. 4:109)

And today men are still making this claim. So how can we distinguish the many from the one? In 1912 Joseph F. Smith, troubled by men who claimed to be the Mighty and Strong, gave the following warning in General Conference:

I know that the Lord will not raise up “Tom, Dick, or Harry”, here, there and everywhere, claiming to be Christ, or “One Mighty and Strong,” claiming to be [84] inspired and called to do some wonderful things. * * * Put that in your little notebooks now, and remember it. . . . (April Conf. Rept., 1912, p. 10)

FRANCIS DARTER’S STATEMENT

Francis M. Darter was a brilliant civil engineer and an avid student of the scriptures. He was strong minded with a firm conviction of the Gospel, and because of it he had the rare distinction of being excommunicated twice from the LDS Church. He wrote many books and pamphlets and often included information on the One Mighty and Strong.

Because of his extensive research and willingness to share the fruits thereof (even at the possible sacrifice of his Church membership), we can gain much by reading what he has recorded. Therefore, this chapter will include extracts pertaining to the One Mighty and Strong from his book entitled Redemption of Zion.

A Mighty and Strong One

Does Holy Writ refer to a future spiritual leader as “A Mighty and Strong One?” Yes. In the 28th chapter of Isaiah we find a detailed record foretelling the Lord’s sending forth “A Mighty and Strong One” to bring a blessing to the righteous, but judgment against the wicked, the oppressor and the slothful servant. His mission will be in the last generation, “in that day,” among a certain people who will be living in “the fat valley,” a people who are “of Ephraim.” Their organizations will possess “priests” and “prophets”. Isaiah refers not to the faithful and strong but to the weak ones among these people as “the Drunkards of Ephraim.” (Isa. 28:1-7)

SIDNEY SPERRY’S STATEMENT For years Church leaders had been receiving and hearing reports from apostates, Fundamentalists, and questioning members about the “setting in order of the house of God.” These rumblings were disturbing and often created an embarrassment since they inferred that the One Mighty and Strong was to come to set the Church in order because it was out of order. This matter was often referred to religion professors and other religious scholars in order to rebuff this unsavory publicity.

This explains why Dr. Sidney B. Sperry, BYU professor, attempted to interpret these questionable verses in the 85th section. In his Compendium he explained:

A little knowledge of Church history and a prayerful reading of the revelation should produce the answers. The reader will recall that on at least two previous occasions the Lord had reason to chastise Bishop Edward Partridge. (See 50:39 and 64:17) Despite the good qualities of Elder Partridge, he seems to have had a stubborn streak in him, and on occasions the natural practical bent of the man seems to have been in conflict with some of the directions given by the Lord to govern the Church. In July, 1831, the Almighty gave directions (57:7) that Brother Partridge should “stand in the office to which I have appointed him, and divide unto the saints their inheritance, even as I have commanded.” And in the revelation we are now dealing with, inheritances are [36] being considered, and the Saints we are told receive them “legally from the Bishop,” meaning, of course, from Bishop Partridge (vs. 1).

One of the unique features of the Gospel Restoration in these latter days is its endurance. In every previous dispensation, the Gospel was gradually changed until it was lost; however, with Joseph Smith’s Restoration, it will continue with a few good men, even if God has to send His messengers to protect them from destruction.

When the Savior established the Gospel among the Jews in the year 30 AD, it took only another 60 years for the last apostle to be found alive. The inspired apostles were killed, and only uninspired apostles, using human wisdom, continued to represent the Gospel.

In the latter days the Lord has promised that His Priesthood would continue until the end of the Millennium. However, one passage of scripture, often interpreted in many different ways, indicates that at some point it will get out of order. But the Lord has promised that He will protect his “house” from getting too far out of order, and it is because of this prediction that many Saints expect to see some marvelous events take place.

It is under pressure that men display strength or weakness. Temptations and opposition measure a man’s faith and fortitude. In a Gethsemane men must choose between their will or the will of God, and many of those who prove faithful are often brought to Calvary. But it is also in the torment of trial that men excuse themselves from the battle of resistence and thereby succumb to the temptation of peace at any price. In these trials of life a man’s strength is measured. True strength is not measured in muscle or mind, nor in social or financial power, but rather in the mastery of himself. Without overcoming the opposition of evil forces, no man can gain a crown.

Battle Of Short Creek

Among the rights of citizens are those rights for the pursuit of happiness of our own choosing. The children chose to stay with their parents, but the “law” was going to force them into foster homes. Tears from children and parents had no influence upon these officials. But there would be a reckoning because Jesus had said:

Whosoever shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. (Matt. 18:6)

It is a disgrace that common citizens of America have to present the fundamental constitutional laws to the attention of its learned officials. Such tyrants are only prompted by religious bigotry. The greater crimes were not committed by the victims, but by the persecutors. Official villains were corrupting the courts, shattering the Constitution, and bringing abuse upon the rights of men, women and children by such illegal prosecutions.

THE CHURCH TEST OATHS

Surely we ought not to be obliged to declare what we believe or do not believe as the price of suffrage. Our consciences are at least our own. (George Q. Cannon, Des. News, Feb. 21, 1890)

A religious test oath is contrary to the rights of conscience as given by God. The conscience has its obligation. It is one of the principle rights and privileges of freedom. An article of Mormon faith is that “We claim the privilege of worshipping Almighty God according to the dictates of our conscience, and allow all men the same privilege.” It is the creed of the Latter-day Saints to follow their own conscience–secondly, to allow others the same privilege. A religious test oath is a contradiction to both. Politically such an oath is just as wrong. Such illegal test oaths were once used by the Government. During the debate on such practices with the Edmunds-Tucker Bill, Senator Vest made this statement:

The whole spirit of this test-oath legislation is wrong; it is contrary to the principles and spirit of our republican institutions; and whenever the time comes in the Territories or States of this Union that test-oaths are necessary to preserve republican institutions then republicanism is at an end.”

The influence and example of such men as Joseph Smith, Brigham Young and John Taylor left a deep imprint upon Church members, but only a few would prove as faithful. The Lord was now about to test them by various means of persecution, including imprisonment by the Gentiles.

Mortality was meant to be a test–a trial of men’s faith. Under conflict and stress the qualities or weaknesses of men are brought to light; and the crusades became the crucible to the verification or the failure of the Mormons. When a man defends his faith, right or wrong, he displays a courage that everyone is constrained to admire. Joseph once remarked:

God, men, and angels will not condemn those that resist everything that is evil, and devils cannot; as well might the devil seek to dethrone Jehovah, as overthrow an innocent soul that resists everything which is evil. (TPJS, p. 226)

One of the faithful men during these political crusades against the Church was a Mormon bishop named Francis A. Brown:

“…before I will prove recreant to my wives and children, and betray my trust, I will suffer my head to be severed from my body.”

Those who are acquainted with the life of Joseph Smith are familiar with the trials and opposition which he constantly endured. The intriguing story of his life illustrates the loyalty of the Prophet to principle–and it also exposed the disloyalty of many others.

THE DARK AGES

Under Popes and Emperors

It is by the blood of its confessors, and not of its adversaries, that the gospel triumphs. (History of the Reformation, I:88)

At the time of Christ, and for the next 500 years, righteous Christians had to contend with the unholy powers of the Roman Empire. But finally the reign of the emperors dissolved with the fall of that empire. Then from out of the ashes of the emperors, rose the same tyrannical powers from the popes. Rome changed titles, but her despotism was the same. Thus true Christians suffered from one despicable tyrant or another.

But, as with all totalitarian governments, the populace suffered the loss of personal freedom. And, what is worse, such tyranny always breeds corruption.

During the fifteen hundred years of apostasy and dictatorial reigns of emperors and popes, public morality dropped to its lowest ebb. People would say anything, or do anything, for gain. Robbery was so prevalent that it appeared to be one of the major occupations. As apostasy gradually overtook the Church of Christ, so did crime and immorality overtake its members. A man’s word became worthless.

They shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name’s sake. And it shall turn to you for a testimony. (Luke 21:12-13)

Every prophet since the beginning of time has foretold the coming of the Great Messiah. Jesus was appointed and qualified as the perfect example–a life without sin or error. He was the “Good Shepherd” which the sheep of Israel should follow. Before He began His ministry, the devil presented him with the temptations of the flesh, of great power, and worldly glory, but He yielded to none of them. He was confronted with a continuous barrage of opposition and attacks by his mortal and spiritual enemies. Kings, priests, lawyers and hosts of the wicked were always seeking ways to condemn or trap him, but He never conceded to any threat or temptation. He lived a perfect life–without compromising a single principle!

The great objective lesson of Christ’s ministry was teaching men to yield themselves to the will of God. But to surrender one’s life to the will of God requires a submission not easily attained by most men. The ministry of Christ required disciples who would be willing to sacrifice everything for the Lord. If necessary they must give their treasures, their worldly possessions, their time, and talents, their family, and if necessary their own life as a total sacrifice for the gospel.

LOYALTY OR COMPROMISE

But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended. (Matt. 13:20-21)

In these last days the devil is to manifest more subtle, cunning and persuasive influences than ever before. So powerful are these deceptions that if it were possible, he “shall deceive the very elect.” One of his most effective seductions is the use of menticide, thought control, or brainwashing. In the past he has used force, compulsion, and terror, but now he has revised his tactics to use psychological persuasions and intellectual enticements. This modern warfare has been changed from capturing and torturing a man’s body, to carefully and skillfully subverting his mind.

It is increasingly essential to our salvation that we become aware of satan’s new warfare of mental intrusion. Strong character can tolerate much physical agony, which often tends to increase stubborn resistance; but to withstand mental invasion requires a much stronger constitution and an unyielding will.

Some men are easily subdued by the enticements of passion, money, or social status. Others will abandon truth from the pressures of authoritative demands, public opinion, or the persuasions of intellectual superiors. Thus through a gradual process of mental erosion many men are led to believe that their own standards are “insignificant” or that they “really don’t matter.”

THE MILLENNIUM

The Latter-day Saint 10th Article of Faith states that “Zion will be built upon this, (the American) continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory.” When the earth is elevated from its telestial state to that paradisiacal terrestrial order, it will remain so for a thousand years. This will be the Millennial reign of Christ on the earth.

The conditions and surroundings then will be much different from what now exist. There will be no death; Satan will not tempt men; the City of Enoch and many of the dead will revisit the earth; and “the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.” (Habakkuk 2:14) This paradise is a time of great promise that nearly all the prophets spoke of and desired to witness. It certainly is a blessing we should strive to attain.

In the beginning years of this earth, Adam came to a place called “Adam-ondi-Ahman”. Here, according to Joseph Smith, he built an altar and offered sacrifice after he and Eve were cast out of the Garden of Eden. Here, too, just before he died, Adam called together his righteous posterity, blessed them, and foretold what would happen to mankind for the next six thousand years.

At the beginning of the Millennium, Adam will once again appear at the Valley of Adam-ondi-Ahman to participate in the transferring of keys and Priesthood functions. Thus, this sacred place is the site of both the beginning and ending of the telestial order of this world.

Orson Pratt gives the following brief definition of the term “Adam-ondi-Ahman”:

It means the place where Adam dwelt. “Ahman” signifies God. The whole term means Valley of God, where Adam dwelt. It is in the original language spoken by Adam, as revealed to the Prophet Joseph. (JD 18:343)

In the January 1841 revelation to Joseph Smith the Lord stated "the fulness of the priesthood" had been "lost unto you, or which he [The Lord of the Whole earth aka The Father] hath taken away." (D&C 124: 28.) To "restore" it the Father needed to personally come to a Temple that He was required to be built within a limited time frame. The length of the time given to accomplish the building was not specified by a date certain. Instead the Lord said He would give to the Saints "sufficient time to build a house unto me." (D&C 124: 31.) In the time between January 1841 and the martyrdom of Joseph and Hyrum Smith in June 1844, the Nauvoo Temple was not completed. The walls were only complete to the second floor. The absence of any date for "sufficient time" to build the Temple leaves that an open question. It does not matter which historic source you use there is no diary, letter, journal or talk which says that The Father or even Jesus Christ came to the Nauvoo Temple and "restored again the fulness of the priesthood" which He had previously taken away from the church. Most importantly, there are no claims made by any of the leaders of the church that the "fulness of the priesthood" was bestowed upon them by Jesus Christ or By the Father in the Nauvoo Temple.

Setting in Order the House of God.

The scriptures inform us that in the last days the “house of God” will be set in order–that “judgments” will start there and then go forth throughout the world.

Why would judgments be brought against the “house of God”, or why would it have to be set in order unless it was out of order and deserved to have such judgments brought upon it? In the latter days deceptions, strong delusions, and false prophets are to be a major test upon the house of God. We are supposed to be independent and free, but we are totally tied up with Babylon in its political and economic system. We are supposed to be living moral lives, but statistics show we are about average with the rest of the nation. We are supposed to be the best informed scriptorians in the world on our religious beliefs, but there are only about 6% of the LDS Church members that have read the Book of Mormon. On every point we have been increasing our worldly and temporal efforts. We have compromised the laws of God to conform with the laws of man. We are supposed to be a Zion, but we are not.

Is it any wonder that God will have to send “one mighty and strong . . . to set in order the house of God”!

Famines have been one of the greatest scourges ever to befall mankind. This peril has been caused by man himself and also by the judgments of God. It has been created by armies of men who loot and steal food from others (Deut. 28:15 and 2 Kings 6:25); or by the deliberate withholding of food from men and nations. Frequently, it is caused by the lack of rain, such as occurred in Egypt while Joseph was there. Occasionally it is brought about by floods or hail (Ex. 9:23-25) or by fire. In any event, it often is followed by other related miseries, such as panic and disease (I Kings 8:37; Jer. 14:12), looting, and even killing.

But through these means, God can accomplish His will and purposes. By means of a famine, God raised up Joseph to a position of authority and influence in Egypt and then brought all the families of Israel into that land to be preserved. (Gen. 41:47)

Jesus said that famine would be one of the “signs” of the last days. By this means God will destroy the wicked and preserve His people.

Prophets are recognized as those who receive messages from God–the most common messages being those pertaining to the future; hence, prophets often, but not always, are men or women who foretell the future.

But prophecy, or forecasting the future, has been a very thankless task for God’s prophets. Mankind generally has been more interested in the future than in the past, so it seems that they would be more likely to look to the prophets than to anyone else. Not so! True prophets have been among the least recognized and respected of all mankind, and throughout history they have been persecuted, driven, imprisoned, and killed.

Why are prophets the object of so much rejection and abuse by society? Simply because society is usually wicked and they don’t like to hear their misfortune or unhappy fate. For example, Jehoshaphat asked King Ahab, “Is there not here a prophet of the Lord besides, that we might enquire of him? And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man, by whom we may enquire of the Lord: but I hate him; for he never prophesied good unto me, but always evil…” (II Chron. 18:6-7)

Yet messages from God are always important. They give men a chance to repent, to change their lifestyles and their fateful futures. Even a man’s eternal destiny may be changed.

Discussion on Prophecy.

The fullness of the Gospel has been restored a number of times, the reason being that man has repeatedly changed it. Paul, the apostle, said, “though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.” (Gal. 1:8) But in less than 100 years, they did. Joseph Smith repeated this same advise in our dispensation: “If any man preach any other gospel than that which I have preached, he shall be cursed; and some of you who now hear me shall see it…” (DHC 6:365)

WHAT WAS THE HOPE FOR MORMONISM?

With the restoration of the Gospel and the Priesthood, the hope of Zion was committed to the Saints. There were many principles, laws, ordinances and covenants given to them which would bring about this latter-day glory–if they obeyed them. But both ancient and modern Israelites had at least one thing in common–very few of them ever lived up to the promises and blessings which God offered them. The United Nations Declaration and the Soviet Constitution are very similar–in some places being word for word. The basic concept embodied in both is that the government has full responsibility for the welfare of the people. The only stipulation is that the government must have total control over the people. But a government cannot guarantee everyone a loaf of bread unless everyone bakes a loaf of bread. The government cannot give anything except what it steals from the people. As Benjamin Franklin said, “An empty bag cannot stand upright.”

The Constitution of both the United Nations and the Soviet Union are based on the rights given to the people by the government. The government would give them those rights only if it thinks it is proper. American government was designed to be the reverse: the government had only those rights granted to it by the people. The American Constitution and the Bill of Rights do not have any statement or inference that the federal government has any power to grant the people their rights, privileges, or benefits. The basis of these documents is a restriction of the federal government describing what it cannot do. The Savior of the world bid all mankind to come follow Him. And as the hymn says, “He marked the path and led the way, and every point defined.” But although this path is easily marked, it is not so easily followed and is certainly not very crowded. Nephi referred to this path that he saw in a dream:

. . . there arose a mist of darkness; yea, even an exceeding great mist of darkness, insomuch that they who had commenced in the path did lose their way, that they wandered off and were lost. (1 Nephi 8:23)

But in this dream a way was provided to get through the darkness, and fortunately there were some who found the iron rod (the word of God) and held on to it until they got through safely.

In mortality the word of God serves as a guide to help us throughout our lives. For us in America, the revealed principles of Americanism are the political part of the rod and the eternal principles of Mormonism the spiritual part–combined together they provide a strong iron rod. If we cling to this rod, we will reach the correct goal and “partake of the fruit of the tree.”

But as the two sections of this book will show, many Americans and Mormons thought they knew a better path, and so they let go of the iron rod and began “wandering in strange roads.” (1 Ne 8:32) It is interesting to following these two [6] parallel paths of government and church as they detour from the path Christ marked out for us. However, we do have the promise that after leading through dark mists, deep jungles, dangerous swamps, and barren deserts, the two paths will eventually return to the one marked by the Savior. However, He warned that:

Strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. (Matt. 7:14)

In the early days of the Church the leaders pleaded with the Saints to come and build up Zion; but today the leaders plead for the members to build up the branches. Zion will never be redeemed under the present attitude of building and strengthening the missions around the world or among the wicked.

We are spiritually immature people, generally incapable of the celestial laws required to accomplish that work. We have never fully understood the temporal requirements of building Zion and the gathering of Israel.

Denver Snuffer May 2015:

"We should expect God's house to be ordered around only one principle: repentance. When the pride of a great organization replaces repentance, the heavens withdraw, and when they do, "amen to that portion of God's house." The Restoration through Joseph Smith will always remain, even if God chooses to order it differently before His return. It is His to do with as He determines best.

He has now sent me as a witness to state the moment has passed and something new has begun. Keith Henderson has likewise testified. The conditions promised by the Lord have been met. Whether anyone notices is of little consequence. God is now doing something to further the Restoration and bring it to its final culmination.

The passing of Eldred Smith was a moment in time that reflected the cumulative effect of a lot of decisions, including and beginning with the initial overthrow of the government of the Church by the Twelve at the passing of Joseph and Hyrum, and culminating in the final overthrow of the priesthood itself, by the death of the discarded Eldred Smith and the discontinuation of the authority that was supposed to have been kept in "honorable remembrance from generation to generation." God will bestow that authority again and it will go forward, but it will go forward without these organizational pretenders that amass wealth and practice priestcraft."

The Lord chooses his Servant from the furnace of affiction to lead his people out of Babylon the Great. He shall be a light to the Gentiles and shall lead the people as one like unto moses with Power out of the Prison of Babylon the Great while Babylon falls around them. He shall lead them in the highways of the Mountains, The Remnant who follow him will be fed and will drink by God who takes care of them.

"Did Jesus ever marry?" This has been a disputable question sometimes arising against the popular opinions of today. Tradition has formulated an opinion, popular with modern Christians, that Jesus never married. Objectors to His marriage contend that He was not subject to the same laws, ordinances, or principles which are otherwise imposed upon the rest of mankind. Some oppose His marriage by purporting that marriage is sinful in its nature—that marriage involves a base, animalistic or sensuous practice, and that the union of the sexes is an evil regardless of the conditions. Thus the popular consensus prohibits Jesus from complying with the ancient law and practice of marriage. Christianity today teaches a celibate Christ. The reasons for believing in the marriage of Jesus, rather than in celibacy, are more logical, and to a great degree more valid, through the light of prophecy, history, and revelation. However, those who make reference to or boldly assert that Jesus was married will usually arouse a cry of "blaspheme" from the modern Christian. Despite the popular opinions and the pious modesty of our society, a careful investigation may prove interesting, if not advantageous, in the quest for an answer to this relevant question. Elijah must come again to restore the Fullness in this last dispensation

Just a few months prior to the revelation to build the Nauvoo temple (Jan. 19, 1841, D&C 124) Joseph had prophesied that Elijah would come again! He referred to a future time saying, “when the priesthood is restored with ALL its authority, power and blessings.” This statement would suggest that it was not ALL, at that time, present in Nauvoo. Also, that there was another dispensation yet to come. Joseph prophesied:

“Elijah was the last prophet that held the keys of this priesthood, and who WILL before the last dispensation, restore the authority and delive[r] the Keys of this priesthood in order that all the ordinances may be attended to in righteousness.” (Words of Joseph Smith, Andrew Ehat, p. 43)

[12] Certainly there are ways to determine if a man is a true prophet and if his message is from God. So why do men fail to understand the difference between the true prophets and the false ones? Simply because they lack the gift of discernment and the spirit of prophecy themselves. If prophets are acting under the influence and spirit of God, then it takes the spirit of God to determine that which is of God and that which is not.

Furthermore, "nothing is a greater injury to the children of men than to be under the influence of a false spirit when they think they have the Spirit of God." (T.P.J.S., p. 205) Even the men who think they are prophets are deceived because they too lack the spirit of God. The many religious creeds and the multitude of powerful ministers and preachers can be (and usually are) mistaken.

On the other hand, it is also a great injury when men in high positions of wealth and learning claim that prophecy and revelation have been done away, when in reality the Lord is communing with prophets. They are ignorant of the word of prophecy. The things of God can be understood only by the spirit of God.

Men have performed miracles, as the magicians of Pharaoh did for Moses, but that did not prove they were sent of God. Jesus said that "Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in they name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me ye that work iniquity." (Matt. 7:22-23)

Today I have to sleep during the day and drive at night in snow and ice. So we are listening to one of my favorite podcasts, "Dan Carlin's Hardcore History". The program is 4 hours and 6 minutes long, so I will do it in two parts. The Episode is 41- Thor's Angels. After the Northern Tribes were taken captive, they eventually made there way as a people up in to the black seas area and called themselve Issacs Sons. Eventually they became know as The Anglo Saxons. From this people many tribes came from them. The Franks, The Goths Etc. All Members of the House of Ephriam who had Lost there identity. This is part of there History. I am decendant of these people. So are the majority of the English, The Germans, The French and many other nations of Europe. These people also Settles North America and are the Fullfillment of Genesis 49. Josephs Decendants. They who would inherit the land of the Upmost Bounds of the Ever lasting hills with there cousins of the tribe of Mannassah... they who are known at the Native Americans.

Testimony of the Second Witnesss of the Father. Today I just talk about who I am and some of my experiences. I expound on my history and how I came to know my Father and Savior and that they sent the Prophet Joseph Smith. I talk about the Stick or Record of Joseph spoken of in Eziekiel 37. I talk about Genesis 49 how the Tribe of Joseph that would be removed from the other tribes unto the upmost Bounds of the Everlasting Hills. The Last part of the program we listen to a talk about Breaking down your Monuments.

Truth is my Drug, and I am Heavily Addicted LOL. I believe that people like Joseph Smith Wanted to believe. Joseph Believed in a lot of strange stuff as he worked out his Salvation... Things like Talismens and other interesting things... He has a Believing Heart... He searched Dilegently, But then he took what he studied and Asked God with that believing Heart. He Let God correct him and teach him. Unfortunatly at early at 1832 the church as recorded in section 84 were in condemnation for several things. One of these things was that they were not a believing people, They treated Lightly the things of God. But Joseph Looked for truth in every Nook and Cranie that he could find it. It didn't matter where he found it, He wanted to Believe and he trusted God enough to take it to him and ask if it was right and for further Light and Knowledge on the subjects he studied. He didn't attack others for there believes. He saw the Good in so many. Wouldn't it be nice if more people were like Joseph. Because he Believed, He was Greatly Blessed.

The Same test as the Jews had with The Lord is the same test the world is given with me and my witness. How few will pass this test. As the Majority of the Jews treated The Lord in his day, even so will the people of this day treat me, Even unto the Shedding of my Blood... and this test is given to you because you speak with your lips perverse Doctrines and Fight against The Servants of God and in your wickedness will reject the Second witness even as the jews rejected the First wtness...

THE KIRTLAND CATASTROPHE

It is not given that one man should possess that which is above another, wherefore the world lieth in sin. (D. & C. 49:20).

It was in Kirtland, Ohio, that some of the most important events in Church history occurred. Here the Prophet Joseph Smith made his home, and from here every major activity of the Church was conducted--the planning of towns, performing missionary work, building a temple, publishing information (such as the Book of Commandments, The Book of Mormon, and the Inspired Translation of the Bible). It was also in Kirtland that the Church obtained. the rolls of papyrus which came to be the writings of Abraham.

When the temple was built in Kirtland, the Saints enjoyed a modern Pentecost of spiritual experiences to witness the Lord's approval of its construction and dedication. It was also here that some of the greatest manifestations that have ever been experienced by man took place. Ancient prophets holding the keys of their dispensations came to Kirtland to bestow them to this people. (See. D. & C. 110)

Jesus and I stand next to each other in authority under the direction of the Father. Jesus was the first witness, or apostle of the Father. He is known as the Bright and Morning Star. Lucifer was the evening star and would have been the second witness or apostle of the father if he had not rebelled. When he did rebel, He was removed from his office and another was chosen to take his place. The Father and the Son went among the Generals in the armies of heaven and chose one of them to take his place. These Generals were known as the Mighty and Strong ones. I was that Man. Joseph Smith was also among us as a general aswell. While I am on the earth, Joseph Smith has authority over the office I hold as the second witness of the Father. In history and in the scriptures I am the one known as the third member of the God head. The Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit. It is important for me to come upon the earth to obtain a mortal body and do as Jesus did. Not that I am a savior the way he was. But that I do might die and be resurrected after three days and rise to my place as a resurrected being and take my throne next to the Father. When this happens Satan will be cast out of heaven. See Revelation 11 and 12. It is by the mouth of two or three witnesses that all things must be established. Jesus was the first Apostle of the Father. I am the Second.
