The early Christians were known as “people of ‘The Way.’” “Along the Way” is an interview program hosted by Tom Moller talking with people of “the Way.” Specifically, people who are engaged in local ministries or local people who are leading lives of significance. Former pastor Walter B Hoye II went from a passive observer of the Pro-Life Movement to an activist after holding his pre-maturely born son in the palm of his hand. God pointed out to him that his son, at that point in his development, belonged in the womb. Bessie’s Hope pairs young people with seniors in nursing homes and elder care facilities. The idea for the ministry came about after Linda Holloway’s grandmother was placed in a nursing home. A network of Denver-area churches, organized by the Severe Weather Shelter Network, opens their church doors overnight to the homeless when temperatures drop to life-threatening levels. Lynn Ann Huizing is the founder of the Severe Weather Shelter Network, and Mark McIntosh from A Stronger Cord is a volunteer who transports homeless from the network’s “warming centers” to participating churches.
