As she undertakes her thesis in Horror Film Theory, join Liverpuddlian film fan and horror genre expert Emma Platt as she her horror-centric section on Black Hole Cinema is spun off into DEAD MEAT, her own semi-regular show.
Emma, with the help of numerous horror loving guests, intends to school you in all aspects of horror film theory - from what the genre means, to the history of horror across the 20th century, to the meanings & symbols within these movies, and crucially what truly makes you go bump in the night.

In the very first episode of Dead Meat, film student & host Emma Platt is joined by her brother, Thomas Platt, as they begin their major introduction to the film horror genre.
Here, they track the very beginnings of the genre from the early 20th century right up to the late 1960's, and the arrival of Emma's all-time favourite horror film - Rosemary's Baby.
