To image God effectively, you need, when offended by others, to recognize the majesty of God and to refrain from taking His role as judge. You must, like Joseph, son of Jacob, discern the majestic will of the Almighty God overshadowing the evil intentions of your opponents. It is the best way to shine for God and to experience affirmation and fulfillment in your life and work.
Caring is your greatest obligation or responsibility in life. You must care as Jesus Christ who demonstrated His love for you with relentless care. He laid His life on the cross because He cared for you and He still does.
God chose to create you in His image or likeness for an awesome, amazing purpose:
to shine forth for Him. He created you like Himself so that you can image, imitate, model,
embody, and represent Him and His will or purpose here on earth. You are, therefore, an ambassador
of His Eternal Kingdom here on earth. You represent God in the way you function, structure or formulate your thoughts/ideas (think),
and relate with Him and your fellow human beings. Precisely, you image God with your behaviors, thoughts, and
relationships.
How you respond to catastrophes or crises in your daily life experiences
either enhances or weakens how you image or represent God,
or reflect His will in your way of life. It's purely a matter of choice.
God created you in His image or likeness to trust Him and have hope in Him as your Creator and Provider.
God want you to trust Him in the same way a child trusts his or her parents. God also wants you to live
hopefully and thankfully for the care, love, and protection that He provides you daily. God wants you to live
optimistically not pessimistically because you are His precious creature and He has your best interests at heart.
The biblical worldview assumes that God created human beings and the world in which they live. Most importantly, the Bible states that God concluded His work of creation with creating human beings in His image or likeness for fellowship with Himself and one another. Therefore, human beings are very special to the Almighty God.
The Africans' perception of their origin is in agreement with the biblical view that God created human beings including the universe in which they live. However, the African concept of time with Sasa (Present) and Zamani (Past) dimensions is fulfilled by the biblical account of creation with a future (Ujao) dimension of time with the hope of salvation and eternal life with God, the Creator (Originator) of all that exists.
The reason why the scientific perspective of origin of human beings is in conflict with the biblical perspective of origin of human beings is that, whereas the latter starts with a Creator, the former starts without a Creator. Otherwise, the biblical perspective of creation is not in conflict with science.
The Bible beginnings with God who created the universe and all that is in it, including human beings, who unlike all other creatures, were created by God in His image or likeness for fellowship and stewardship.

is closely intertwined with African religious traditions, beliefs, and philosophy.
