On the 2 year anniversary of RCC Phoenix we review the foundational roots of our church and the vision Scripture has for the New Testament church.
This week we discuss the need to strengthen our connection to the anchor of our faith, Jesus Christ.
Our message this week is the true Face of Christianity. Our goal as believers in Christ is to point people back to Him, not anyone else.
We take time to remember the life of RCC member David Blakely and what defined his life and take the challenge to remember / define the overall mission and purpose of our own lives as believers and Christ following individuals.

We continue in the book of Philippians and learn from Paul's perspective on those who preach the Gospel with impure motives.
Paul encourages the believers in Philippi to stand up and defend the Gospel. We examine why this was very difficult and how the principle applies to us todway.
Paul and Timothy start the book of Philippians with some serious statements that show several deep truths. We discuss the first 6 verses of the book and the how to follow the lead of the Apostle Paul in voluntarily releasing our will to embrace the Lord's purpose .
We begin our series on Philippians with a message on how the author of the book, Paul, got to Philippi in the first place.
The author of Psalms 136 repeats one statement at the end of each verse in this chapter of the Bible: "His faithful love endures forever." In this message, we take a look at how this statement should overshadow any other statement in the life of believers.
The book of Ruth is full of great insights for how people of God should act in private. We examine the beginning of the book of Ruth and look at what we can learn about character and integrity.
We end our New Year's church fast with the message based in Joshua 3 & 4 admonishing us to not forget what the Lord has done for us and to give all credit to him for what He will do in the future.
Exodus means "to leave." In this message, we are encouraged to leave the idea of ever leaving God.
In the first message of 2021, we take a look at the subject of Motive Matters. We are encouraged to set aside the list of things we want to selfishly accomplish this upcoming year and replace them with goals that we have submitted tot he Lord.
As we approach the holiday season we are reminded of the love God showed for us. When we were away from Him, we were His enemies but He still loved us. In this weeks message, Ryan Mayes outlines the need for us to follow the example the love of Christ and Love our Enemies.
We bring the Aggressive Gratitude series to a close with a message on how God included us in His family. Although we could do nothing for Him, God's loving nature opened the door of salvation to all of us through faith in His only Son, Jesus Christ. And the gratitude that is growing in us should lead us into the action of sharing the gift if Christ with everyone who hasn't yet believed in Him.
This week we look at the idea of Gnosticism and how it was active in the Colossian church and is still active in churches today. We can find God's will in God's Word and we are grateful for God's provision to us. Aggressive gratitude also remains thankful God to give us an eternal inheritance with Him.
Our tendency as people is to mainly focus on gratitude in sentimental moments or in a passive manner. When a holiday or life occasion rolls around we take a moment to reflect. These are good times to be grateful but we are challenged in this series to aggressively look deeper for ways to be grateful to the Lord.
We conclude the series on joy by looking at John 15. When God takes things away from us it's the act of the Master Gardener pruning away something He wants removed from us. Our responsibility is to remain connected to the vine (Jesus) and abide in Him. We should choose joy because God is always operating to fulfill His purpose which ends good for us as His children.
IN this message we explore the Biblical definition of joy, reasons the choose joy and break down how we choose joy.
We conclude the Doing Things God's Way series with the final portion of Scripture in 1 Kings 18. Elijah prays for rain and sees the fulfillment of God's promise as the people of Israel have returned their hearts to their Lord.
1 Kings 18 gives one of the most dramatic accounts of the Old Testament. Elijah stands to face the prophets of Baal in an epic showdown for the hearts of the people of Israel. This passage gives us further insight as Christ followers on how to do things God's way.
RCC begins our 2nd year of existence with a series called "Doing Things God's Way." We look into the life of Elijah and his experience with King Ahab to capture the principles of obeying God's direction.
On the 1 year anniversary of RCC, we spend time focusing on God's Master Plan for His church and making sure we play the role laid out for us in Scripture.
In this weeks stand alone message, we discuss the power of God's Word for Believers in Christ and the need for it to be a major root in our spiritual foundation.

We conclude the Love Series with a message reminding us as Christ followers that Love is our Highest Goal.
What does it mean for love to endure? This week we look at the definitions of love and how love never fails.
When our culture sees a preacher speak on "giving" everyone reaches for their wallets and holds on tight. But the Christian definition of giving far exceeds money. In week 7 of our series we look at the ways giving is derailed by selfish attitudes and unloving behavior. There is so much more for us as believers in Christ to give to others.
The Love Series continues with Love Cares. When we only care for ourselves we wind up taking attentions for ourselves instead of giving attention to others. Caring is also hard if we have shown care in relationships and been taken advantage of. In this message we look at how God teaches us to love through Scripture.
Our series on Love continues as we look atthe role Love plays in Encouragement. In times of uncertainty, God's Word encourages us as Believers. And in turn, we are to encourage others with God's Word.
This week we take a look at love and the role it plays in correction. The idea of correction does not always mean punishment and we see the way God lovingly corrects His children in the Old Testament book of Hosea.
The love series continues with the message, Love Forgives. Every person has been hurt by someone and we all have a need to forgive others. But, we also have the need to be forgiven first by God. Forgiveness can be hard but it is necessary for many reasons including it is a reflection of God's great love.
The word "love" used by Paul in the book of 1 Corinthians 13 is the word Agape. We take a closer look at this word Agape and how it deepens our understanding of what is expected of Believers in Christ regarding love.
No, this message is not about physical food or a diet plan. It is about encouraging believers in Christ to carefully inspect anything we consume. Orr media consumption is at historic levels and with so many differing voices and opinions bombarding us every day, we need to discern what we should consume and what we should reject.
This is a stand alone message surrounding the book of Philemon. The back story is very interesting and the principles taught by Paul to his good friend are powerful.
Our 5 week "4H" series wraps up with a message encouraging us to take a closer look at our Habitat. The environment we were placed in is by God's design. The environment we choose has direct impacts on our growth in Christ. And the environment we create with our freedom in Jesus is important to reach the world.
The 3rd "H" in our 4H series is Hands. We discuss the actions of our life and how we need to remove the weeds from the works of our hands and turn our focus to the works of the Kingdom.
We continue our 4H series and focus on the Heart. This is where all believers have a massive challenge to make change. We have to correct our heart posture and make sure our heart is a breeding ground for God's Word to grow and produce fruit.
Pastor Matt continues our series discussing the first of 4 areas we need to tend - the Head. We explore the Biblical instructions regarding our thoughts and focusing on the correct ideas to the right thoughts grow.
We begin a new 5 week series called 4H. Any worth while relationship takes work including our most relationship; our relationship with God. This work is not a religious obligation but a loving response to the God whom we owe everything. This series introduction message identifies one major misconception about God that has been taught in the American church and what we should do with that transactional style relationship.
The conclusion of our series on Becoming Disciples. We ask the question about our "want" to be Christ's Disciple and look at the commitment of a German Pastor who lived during the tine of Hitler who gave his life for the Gospel.

Following Jesus resurrection from the dead and before His ascension He gave his followers and disciples a final command. We look at the importance and requirements of His direction in this 3 week series, “Becoming Disciples.”

We wrap up the series on Worship with a message on the acts of worship leading up to & during Palm Sunday.
This week we discuss the meanings of some physical expressions of worship including kneeling, lifting our hands and clapping. These are not merely traditional things we do during church gatherings. Scripture shows us the meanings behind these very real expressions of worship.
We are instructed as Believers in Christ to worship the Lord in spirit and in truth. We take a look at this text and dig into the meaning of this Scripture.
In the 3rd message of our Worship series we look at the 3rd category of Biblical worship, Affection. When we show our affection to the Lord, it is an act of worship to God.
We start a new 5 week series on Worship by defining a main word for worship in the Old Testament. One main definition of worship is submission. Everyone worships. But we must choose who/what we submit to.
We wrap up a 3 week series from Micah 6 called “What God Wants” with the final message “To Walk Humbly With Your God”. It’s easy to point the finger at our arrogant culture and say “others” need humility. But the real work is to not let ourselves off the hook and be completely honest with ourselves about our own posture of arrogance.
We continue the 3 week series “What God Wants” by looking into the 2nd command God gave to Israel through the prophet Micah; Love Mercy.
