Welcome to Prayer House! We are a collective of born again Christians from different churches that have a strong desire to spread the Good news of Jesus Christ to everyone.
Currently these episodes are recorded from daily prayer conference calls due to the pandemic. You may hear some issues with the audio. We are currently working on ways to fix this. Please stay tuned in!
Alvin shares 3 key points: Issues, Intimacy, and Identity. When we are struggling through issues in our lives, we have to pursue an intimacy with God. It is only when we establish this intimacy, that God begins to reveal our true Identity!
The level of how much we love the Lord our God is our single most greatest measure of success. Loving Him with all of our heart, mind and soul should be our first priority. To do this, we must understand that God loved us first. We aren't the ones initiating this love. To love God the way it is commanded, we must be filled in the Holy Spirit and so that it can lead us to pour out into others as well.
From our brokenness, God will bring forth a sweet aroma. A fragrance that comes out of the broken, becomes a powerful display of God's ability to create something beautiful out of pain. Thanks be to God who always leaves us in triumph. Let us be the sweet aroma that leads others to life!
Johnny shared how God helped him through the tough times in His life. He found his joy by walking in faith and in The Spirit. God continues to fills his life with happiness and peace. Each of us can take upon this challenge to follow Christ through our struggles, and always trust that no matter what, God is always there with us.
We have to always know when God is speaking to us. Always be willing to listen and humble ourselves as the Lord teaches us each and every day.
Even When we are in sin, He knows and sees us. We are created to be Image bearers. The sense of emptiness is what led us to Christ. When we experience God, we get to know Him. There is a difference between knowing God and being known by God.
We are no longer called servants, but friends of God. When God is calling you a friend, have a dialogue with Him as you would with a close friend!
Spiritual life comes with expectations of maturity and growth. Paul touches on this in 1 Cor 3:1-3. Just as we expect babies to grow up and become productive members of society, that same expectation is placed on Christians to grow from new believers into seasoned marathon runners in our walks with Christ.

David went through the stages of grief when he learned that his son was going to die. He isolated himself in the temple, he bargained with God for his son’s life, and then later David accepted the death of his son. God and His word are what helps get you out of your grieving. God loves you through your grieving and he takes your burden and gives you rest.
Our failures do not define us. Have hope for God can do great things in bad situations. God gives different gifts and abilities to each person. God calls you worthy regardless of what you’ve done. There’s nothing in your life that He can’t use for his glory.
God in His eternal sacrifice has made provision for us to overcome these emotions. At the cross you can bring your shame, and there is estoration and healing for us there and He releases His glory on our life. The remedy for rejection is at the cross, Jesus paid the price for us.
Keep people in your life who can see through you and can be honest with you to help you in your times of need. Be present with people, get to know them past the superficial, and build real relationships and community. We should reflect Christ in our concern for the hurting.
Performance pressure is the idea that if we want to succeed we need to achieve a certain level in this lifetime. The artificial pressure to perform simply takes us away from our purpose of glorifying God. Do not study with the pressure that if you fall short, God is mad at you. God constantly uses the person who experienced pressure, trusted God in pressure, and moved forward with the LORD.
We may feel disheartened in our walk with Christ when we let our emotions take over and feelings of inadequacies may get in the way. To have our identity fully in Christ we need to fully surrender or be all in! We must give our ways and mind to His will.
Are you in the season of realizing your security was in material things? The lies of the enemy don’t matter - when he reminds you of your past, remind him of his future. The son went to Convince the father to take him back but there’s no point in earning YOUR way back to the father.
Time is where God does the healing It was not until Joseph had forgotten his sufferings that God made him fruitful. God cannot make you fruitful until you willingly let go and forget your past Forget the past memories that brought pain and there will be a moment the fruits you yield from that will bring blessings to other people.
Mental Health and struggle is so real. The stigma of mental health struggles prevents people from opening up about their struggles and seeking the help that they need. If you are going through depression, know that you are not alone! There is a God who is with and people around who love you and care for you. Come to God and He will give you rest!
-Let Jesus be the center of our lives
-Put your hope in Christ, not the leaders of your church, or other people
-More than anyone, we need Jesus and His presence in our daily life
-God is with you in your struggle, there is hope in Jesus
The words anxiety and fear are not the same. Fear is part of God’s creation, which is why fear is not a bad thing, but it can become a bad thing. Battle against sin was one of the most pressing reasons for anxiety among faithful Christians. Another worry is about the future, especially during this political climate. There is only one way to handle anxiety: fix your vision - look above and look outside of us.
God has a plan for you in your singleness. We cannot answer our questions alone. We are not made to live this life alone. Community is important! We are ALL called to conform to the image of Christ, and we can only do that when we get our identity and purpose right. You are to love others the way that God through Jesus Christ has loved you.
“Dating” is a temporary phase between singleness and marriage. Do not have an idea of dating someone if you are not spiritually, mentally, physically, and financially apt/mature. Do not date if you have no intention of marriage. Love is blind, and it should not be involved in dating. Date autonomously, without emotion because you are not yet committed. You will know it’s the person when you know. God is not a God of confusion. Did you get His confirmation?
"Pray for wisdom in every situation. Be bold, but take a loving approach. That often will shock them. Still, be honest. There are many things that do not exist, but atheists never point them out (ex. Santa Claus). Therefore, the problem is not that God does not exist, it is that you do not want to bow down to the God who does exist. They are likely not an atheist, they are an anti-theist, and there is a huge difference!" - Pastor Pete Torres
"We come into worship thinking that we have something in our pocket, something that gives us some weight as we come before the Lord. We come before God in what we think is true worship, but we’re actually coming before him in false worship because we’re trying to get something out of the hand of God rather than coming before Him because He is truly a God who is worthy to be praised."

What are the limits of a church becoming progressive? When there are two generations involved in a church, how can there be a balance?
"To bridge the gap between two generations, Paul advises, do not rebuke older people, rather exhort them like you would your father. When you have a multi-generational church, the first thing to do is never to rebuke someone for their age-related belief systems. Encourage each other. As young people, set an example to them and focus on doctrine. As a church in a progressive world, stay rooted in the doctrine and reading of Scripture. What unites a church is the doctrine of the Word of God!"
We all serve the same God and we all represent the same kingdom. You cannot take people to a place where you haven’t been yourself. We all have a specific will in God’s kingdom. We need to spend time with the LORD, helps us identify our role. The church is a building with four walls, we are the ones who build the community.
If we are not growing we are not doing what we’re supposed to do as the body of Christ. Us as the church we should be supporting and building one another. Ask yourself what you can do to make the body of Christ the healthiest it can be.
Cultural background places families and the institution of the church on a pedestal that God should be on. Sometimes we contribute to the church out of respect for our friends and family. We feel like we have no real relationship with God. Take the time to sit down, and ask yourself what you’re prioritizing.
This broken world should make clear that the Church needs to step up and be active as the Body of Christ. When you are segmented away from the body, it is hard to see your value and purpose. The most honor is in being faithful in the little things and having the mind of Christ in the simple day-to-day activity.

Even if you are single, you are never alone, and you were never alone, to begin with. Singleness means time for preparation. It builds skills, maturity, and tools you need to face the real storms of life. Singleness gives you an opportunity to fix things in your life that need to get fixed. There are some levels that you cannot fix unless it is just you and God.
The Devil knows he has a short time, but there are some Christians who do not realize that they have a short time. Live with courage in these last days. Why does the Devil scare you so much? Do you believe in the blood?
The Blood:
(1) The Blood is your Propitiation.
(2) The Blood is the Promise Sealant.
(3) The Blood brings Perfect Unity.
Fasting and prayer cultivate the proper atmosphere for the Spirit of God to fill you. No one can stand in the way of God. When the Spirit of God hits you, nothing can stand in your way; but it all starts with fasting and prayer.
Connecting to God is fairly simple. One of the hard things is to walk in unity and connect within the church. How should the church be united? The best standard to look to is the Trinity of God. Our faith unites us. What you believe in will determine how well you can work with others. We will become united so that we can be one perfect man in the eyes of God.
Jim talks about how God was the sole source of healing in his life and how he sustained him throughout his childhood. Always trust in the Lord, even when it is hard. God is Love and His love suprasses all human understanding.
James shared how God used the tragedy from his life to create something beautiful in the lives of his Family. He explains how God is still working, chiseling away to make us into who He wants us to be. No matter what tragedy we go through, God will always sustain us and keep us safe in His hands. The important detail is thafamilyt we must develop a relationship with Christ and continue to remain in His presence.
Sayyed shares his powerful testimony of how God redirected his path from Islam, to a path that draws him closer to God and commune with Him. Salvation is given freely and it is for anyone who wants to be saved. God is good and His mercies renew each morning. Let us continue to thank God for His love and pray for those around us who may not know God.
No matter what great miracles happen in our lives, the heart of Jesus is that we KNOW him. We are not entitled to grace or mercy. It is through His goodness that we were made children of God. We don’t have to work for it we just have to believe that we are sinners. Then we are made right and made children of God. Ask yourself “Do you really love Jesus?” Is the only validation we need. Let us not be complacent with our standing with God.
Whatever you do unto ONE of the least of these. Don’t focus on the entire population. Focus on addressing the needs of one person.

You have to partner with God in order to achieve whatever it is that He is calling you to do.
The only way we can be rooted in something or someone is to have complete trust in it/them. Our God is a promise keeper even when the circumstances aren’t looking up. Everything is under God’s control and is known to him.
There is one spirit but many rivers from that spirit, many manifestations from one spirit. Your best testimony is that wherever you went, you made a difference. Put your effort in things that truly matter in the context of eternity, being the church here on earth. Ezekiel was moving deeper and deeper into the river, not the river rising and moving without fear. When it comes to the anointing, never be content, desire to go deeper.
Sandin shares his testimony about how God saved him from his path in sin and transformed his life into one of blessings and grace.
Understanding the importance of prayer and community. To rise above what the world offers and grow in prayer with Christ.
Sometimes we start to lead worship or preach without the anointing of God because we know certain song choices, messages, or notes will sway the audience. When people preach without the anointing, they will think a person is a good preacher. If someone preaches with the anointing, chains start to break. People may not remember you, but they will remember God through the anointing you carry.
Being rooted in Christ does not automatically come, but a foundation needs to be created. When we are rooted in the world, we are living without the gift of God. We can do all these worldly actions and still feel deep emptiness. When you are being rooted in Christ, you need to meditate on the word. When we cannot understand the word of God, this means there is something in your life causing resistance for spiritual growth.
Can we make it a daily routine to spend time with God? If you continue to have your schedule jam packed and not spending time with God now it’ll be much harder when you are older. To turn from your sinful ways, you need to be guided by the Holy Spirit so you can walk a life that is powerful as the lives of Christian ambassadors
Nehemiah’s vision is what allowed him to finally build the walls that would protect Israel from its enemies. We must equate our vision to a compass that demonstrates God’s will in our life. In order to properly use this compass, we need to have a clear vision of what and where our destination is.
When you’re rooted in Christ, you will experience resistance and spiritual growth. Don’t follow or live by the ways of the world. Rather, live by the Word so you can bear good fruit.
If Christ came today, would you really want to leave the Earth?
The kingdom of God is greater than your status or worldly success. In order for us to have an eagerness for the second coming of Christ, we need to have a perspective on the heavenly kingdom. Come to the presence of God and ask Him to heal your old wounds and cleanse whatever is stopping you from wholly pursuing Him
Stop waiting and live in God’s anointing. You need to know who the giver of these good gifts is rather than just seeking these good gifts. God wants to bless you and entrust you with his anointing Our God is faithful and remembers every aspect of your life and does things for your good.
Are we busying ourselves with life or are we giving God his due time? Making God a priority means he has to be the center of our lives and He should have control over every aspect of your life. We need to know who we are in Christ and declare that over our lives in order to stand firm in our faith.
As believers, we have faith and hope in who is in control; Our God is in control. Many of us are so far away from Jesus. If you are standing far off because of something that has happened in your life, cry out to Him. We need to make a daily effort to appreciate all the blessings the LORD has given us.
A lot of us follow the wrong crowd (certain church, beliefs, false doctrines, miracles, and wonders) and hope to find Jesus. (Mat 24:24, Mat 7:21-23). Let us be mindful and cross-reference every popular teaching, belief, and song with the Bible for sound biblical grounding.
We have the incredible gift and ability to co-labor and partner with the presence of God to have His will be executed in society. Do not think that your boldness will be ignored or unappreciated. You do not realize how effective the power of the Holy Spirit in you is. You will be able to touch lives in ways that you could never imagine.
Fasting requires you to be available in the way God wants you to be. We have to focus and understand that unless we are protected by the Armor of God, we cannot be on the battlefield because our own efforts will not help.
Even if we do not want to wait for the time that God has set apart for us, God will bring us back to where we need to be. You may not have all of the answers, but you will surely have peace when you enter into the presence of God.
Worship is instituted by God, through God, and ultimately for the glory of God. Worship is not about leadership but rather it’s about serving man and God. Hold God as supreme and humble yourself as a part of your worship
Take care of the blessings and answered prayers we have received. Make sure we bring our answered prayers back to God.
Believe that the blood of Jesus has redeemed and rescued you, not by your own works but by the grace of God. Like a heart transplant, a part of Him is always in us. His heart replaces our fleshly desires with His spiritual desires but we have to actively remove our foreign that are attacking the desires of God that are trying to work.
If we want to be a leader like Jesus, we need to further our relationship with God. This can be done through plugging into churches, small groups, having mentorship, and accountability.
Don’t wait for the moment of self-perfection because it will not happen. As soon as God has put a burden in your heart for that friend that wants to know the love of Jesus start taking action.
GIFT OF DISCERNMENT: Understand the need for discerning between various forms of worship. Know that God and God alone deserves all honor and praise..not man.
Prayer is vital to help us prepare for the temptations that are ahead. The Bible explains that there is no other time as difficult as the end times, which we are living in right now.
Angel talks about the gift of prophecy and how our ultimate goal in seeking the gifts of the Spirit is to lead more people to Christ!
Discipleship is a lifelong process and it is all about OBEDIENCE. In the Kingdom of God, obedience is the freedom that our souls long for. The extent of us being used is dependent upon our willingness to be obedient.
Forget about all things and your past, and press on towards the goal, so that you can receive the prize.
God sometimes isolates us from everything we know forcing us to be lonely. In times of isolation God brings us closer to Him.
Paul was marked by his experience with God. As you learn more about the Father, the more you learn about yourself.
If we want a breakthrough, we have to completely surrender. If we want to hear the voice of God, pick up our Bibles and read it out loud and without constant communication with the Holy Spirit, we cannot discern when certain things are not right in our life.

Trusting God is the most important thing you can do. Our hearts are so deceitful, but God never lies and never changes. Satan knows when you are getting ready to fight. Use the shield of faith to fight off the flaming arrows of the enemy.
Our prayers should have the components of ADORATION, CONFESSION, THANKSGIVING, and SUPPLICATION. This will help us pray intentionally, not just to finish something on a spiritual checklist.
Just like Hagar many of us run from our loneliness, our brokenness, our shame, but instead of running let us go back to it. Let us press into it because God is in the midst of it with us.
Serving God might mean denying the immediate pleasure of the moment. You have to take on even more suffering, so you will be fit for eternity.
You aren’t the first to struggle through something and you’re certainly not the last. Allow that to give you hope that God will carry you through. The walls are coming down, His promise is on its way and I know He’s gonna do it.
When you go through heartbreak, do not lose hope. God will turn your sorrowful tears into joyful tears. Opportunity knocks at your door AFTER you go through the challenge. Never try to go around it. Go THROUGH the challenge.
God is NOT looking at your abilities, but He is looking at your availability. It's better to obey God and look like a fool, than to disobey God and become the fool.

God is good all the time, and through his love and mercy we are delvievered from death!

Understanding God’s process is something we all face at some point in our lives. Many times the process to the promise breaks you, but in those moments God will give us the perfect guidance we need.
God has called us to be proactive as well as reactive. We need continuous sustainable growth. Let us not live by the standards of others but by God's standards.
Reminding us that God uses the weak and weary for his glory. We don’t need to be perfect to do his will. God uses those who are open and willing.

Angel teaches us about the gifts of Healing and how ministry is not about performing signs and wonders, but it is about salvation. Salvation must always be our prime focus.
Angel speaks about how mature faith does not demand grand gestures, but mature faith is content with the Word of God. In order for us not to be disqualified, we need to check where we are and make sure we are still in the faith.
Angel speaks about Faith, the third gift of the Holy Spirit.
Faith is believing that God will answer a prayer even when the answer hasn't arrived yet, so we will continue to pray until the answer is given!
Angel dives into the Word to help us understand the difference between the Influence and the Infilling of the Holy Spirit.
The Gifts of the Spirit are already in you and at the right time, they will manifest. For us to receive and manifest these gifts, we must first be in close communion with God. Be vulnerable in the presence of God and see how deep His love is.

The reason Jesus says, “I am the True Vine,” is because there are false vines. We are the branches within that True Vine. If a branch does not bear fruit, it is not the fault of the vine, but there is a block. To bear fruit, you have to have a lifestyle of cultivating His Word.
What Jesus ultimately desires is for people to know Him, not use Him for their own power. A redeemed person is someone who humbly accepts that only the Wedding Garment given by Him can get them into the presence of God.
The story of the Gospel is the redemptive story that God has always been pursuing men. Every single human being has a purpose because they are created in the image of God.
Pastor Deepak speaks from the word about salvation through Christ. Helping us understand that the Gospel has nothing to do with us and our works but instead, is fully based on what He did. It is all about receiving. He sent His Son , Jesus Christ to die for our sins and gift us our salvation.
God’s timing is unlike anything we can imagine. Many times we have our agenda set up just to watch it not work out. As Christians we should be hopeful and trusting in the plans that God has set for us. We should pray and work on aligning our goals with God’s vision. Our God is a God that works in every area in our lives, whether we think it is great or small. Let us be patient and trust in his time, for his plans are much greater than we know.

This is something that we hear often but personally don’t take into account. When we strive for the Holy Spirit and are touched by it, that love and joy should spread into others. Many times we take what God does for us and keep it hidden, let us learn how to spread this joy and good news allowing others to know and experience it. We need to surrender our all, so He can do what He does best - save, redeem, and revive. God will take the ugly, dark, and dirty areas of your life and make them a source of healing for others.

Many of us have super busy lives and get caught up in it. We often forget that having a personal relationship is so important. Thank you so much Joel Sajan for speaking so powerfully. 1 on 1 time daily with God is vital in maintaining a strong relationship with God.
Learning to align our plans and our vision with God is vital. It is so easy to get caught up in what we want, but let us take a step back and just examine if we’re really in the path that God has for us.
