Welcome to the Connected for Real podcast. I'm Rebbetzin Bat-Chen Grossman, a marriage coach for women and business, and my mission is to bring God's presence into your life, into your marriage, and into your business. Let's get started.
Welcome everyone to the Connected for Real podcast. I am Rebbetzin Bat-Chen Grossman, and with me today is Julie, and I'm super excited. Julie, please introduce yourself so everyone knows who you are and then we'll get into it. I am Julie Rothschild Levi. I am a comedic actress and writer.
I am originally from Minnesota and I've been living in Israel for the past 12 years. And I just like to laugh at life situations and I create those types of situations and reels and comic videos on social media. You can find me on Instagram and TikTok and on Facebook yes. That's how I found you. I find it so fun to just take a break and watch you doing funny things,
So that's really fun. Okay, so I'm a marriage coach and what I am obsessed with and fascinated by is how everything in our lives, our marriage, and how our marriage affects everything else. So I wanna talk a little bit today about how humor affects marriage, and if you could give us a little bit into that and some examples.
Well, first of all, I think the concept of marriage is pretty funny to begin with. , you know, I mean, we, we head into a lifelong relationship or hopefully it is and build a family with somebody who we continuously get to know over the years and we change obviously as much as they change. And I think that it.
Marriage, I think is a challenge. As much as it is, as it is. Wonderful. I think laughter and humor have such a role because what are laughter and humor? They're light, they're bringing light to the world, bringing light to our relationships and, and any type of situation we deal with, really. I mean, I think it's a coping tool, right?
So I I really believe that humor is an important part of marriage. . Yes. And I think of humor as a connector as well because, you know, my husband says an attractive man is a man who can make a woman laugh. You know, it, it creates a relationship like right away, you know, if a guy can make you laugh and on a date, or, you know, when you're just out with your friends, you feel connected.
very much so. I mean, I think laughter is one of the main connectors, and I think it's very intimate. I think when we can make each other laugh, we're creating a bond. First of all, it's release, right? We get the endorphins going and it's, it's a way to share something with somebody that you're only sharing with them.
Like if you laugh at the same joke, , it's it's bonding. So I think laughter and humor are very much important in marriage because life is, can be very heavy , and we need to take that heaviness and somehow shine some light into it. So that's the way, that's the way to do it. And I also, you said that a husband making his wife laugh.
Well, I think you can go the other way too. , I actually love it. When I'm able to make my husband laugh and anybody else in my life, to me it's just it's a wonderful feeling. I think it's a gift to give to somebody. Yes, for sure, for sure. I love that. And we have, one of my, one of our daughters is very funny.
She has such a sense of humor and it adds so much to the conversation was someone says,

Welcome to the Connected for Real podcast. I'm Rebbetzin Bat-Chen Grossman, a marriage coach for women and business, and my mission is to bring God's presence into your life, into your marriage, and into your business. Let's get started.
And we are live. Welcome everyone to the Connected for Real podcast. I am Rebbetzin Bat-Chen Grossman, and today with me is Cheri Timko, who you just heard in the podcast two podcasts ago. and today we're doing a follow up because when I posted this podcast, it was a year after we recorded and I thought, Hey, that would be really fun to hear a follow up.
So introduce yourself first and then we'll start talking about our topic for today. Great. Great. Thank you so much for having me. I am a couple's relationship coach. I'm also a psychotherapist who specializes in couples, so I really get. My whole life is kind of immersed in how to help couples. I'm also mom to three daughters, two of who are now in college.
So letting go of those daughters, that's really hard. I don't know. Those are probably the highlights. ? Yes. Oh my gosh. A year is such a long time and suddenly there's different things happening and all the different moves and the changes, so I totally get it. . Oh my goodness. Okay, so last time we spoke about how you helped the couple and I helped the wife.
And today I wanna focus more on using dating as a way to fix your marriage. And I'm talking about dating your own spouse, obviously. You know, Obvious. But yeah, that you come up with all sorts of crazy things. So it's good to clarify. Don't Google it. dating while married. Yes. So date your spouse in order to fix your marriage.
Let me hear more about that. Tell me how. How you came up with this, what you came up with. Obviously it's not something you made up. We all know it's a good thing to date your, you know, husband or your wife, whoever you're listening to who, whoever's listening to us. But what did you do to make it more practical, more realistic, more doable?
So this idea really started two years ago when I opened my Facebook group. It's called Date Night Community, and it's to support married couples. And I put, I post three date night questions every week. And I've been doing that for I think a year and a half. Very strong. Every week you get your three questions and it just encourages couples to go out and then talk to each other about stuff other than home, family, and work, cuz those are the three topics that everybody talks about.
So sometime last year I was like, oh, right. This always bothers me that people give up the. like they get married cuz they found this person who they have fun with, they connect with they love, and then they stop having any fun. So I was like, okay, I bet I can fix the relationship problems with structured questions.
So I have a group going through my course right now. I'll run it again in a couple months. But. go on a date. They spend 30 minutes talking about these specific questions to walk them through problems and communication and how they wanna continue, and then they do something fun. So it's a lot. I'm just really enjoying it.

Welcome to the Connected For Real podcast. I'm Rebbetzin Bat-Chen Grossman, a marriage coach for women in business, and my mission is to bring God's presence into your life, into your marriage, and into your business. Let's get started.
Welcome. Thank you for your patience. I promised you I'd be back tomorrow, which turned into three days, which I'm really sorry about. But this is part two and I'm excited because we were talking about how I started, where I came from, what I did, and so in part one, I told you all about how
I started in Fifth Avenue in Manhattan working as a graphic designer. Then I came here to Israel and you heard a bit, a little bit about the transition between graphic design to marriage coaching. and I started telling you about the coaching that I got in order to help me get on the right track. So the first thing I did was six months with Debbie Sasson.
And I think it was one of the best things I did for myself because when you're in that loop of I need this money in order to live, in order to have this money, in order to live and you know, we weren't making enough. And so everything was a stretch. And then finally when I would. You know, get a new client and the money would come in, it would just go straight into family money.
And it felt like I was running in circles. And so one of the things that helped me get out of that was committing to at least find. The, the coach that I wanted to hire actually this is a really interesting part of the whole thing because I was doing all this free stuff, right? When you're in the transition mode, you hear a lot of freebies, you listen to a lot of podcasts, you are consuming a ton of information, and it's moving you forward.
And a lot of aha moments and a lot of adjustments and shifts and thinking differently, and that is all amazing, which is why is so great that there's so many free resources out there. And then I heard one. One lady, I don't know her name, I don't remember. There was so many freebies, right? And one of the ladies had a freebie and she explained why you are stuck even though you're moving.
And she says, because you don't have one teacher, you don't have one. Person who you follow. It's like you're doing this and then you hear this and you're like, oh, that's a good idea, and I'll do that, and then I'll do another thing and a million other things. And so you're constantly being sidetracked by the next thing that you need to do without really having a clear vision of where you're going and a clear guidance from someone who's been there.
So that was a, that was one of the aha moments that I thought, oh, she's right. If I just had one person telling me how to get on track and be on the right direction and you know, on the right lane to that goal, then it could save me so much scatteredness. And so I prayed for it and I prayed that first step is find the right guide because.
as much as everybody is trying to sell you something and at the end of every freebie there is a sale sale pitch,
I couldn't afford it. And instead of getting all resentful and frustrated, I decided that now my goal is to find the right one, and that doesn't cost any money, right? Just finding the right person doesn't cost any money. And once I know who the right person is, then the money will. , and sure enough, that's exactly how it happened.
I ran into a freebie that told me about a different freebie, and there was a podcast episode with a guest speaker on it or something like that,

It's so exciting to be here and it has been a while. So I want to take you back to where this whole thing started because recently I was speaking to a fellow coach and she asked me, I legit need to know how this whole thing started and it was amazing to have someone who, this is their first time meeting me.
They don't know anything about what I do. They don't know anything about what I used to do or how I came to this. And it was a lot of fun to start from the start and really give her the overview. And I thought, Hey, you guys don't know the full picture or the overview. And sometimes that's really exciting to hear.
Let's dive into that. It all started . I don't even know where to start, right? Because when I said that, I started thinking, oh, should I tell you that I was born in Israel and then we lived in Venezuela and then in Argentina, and then in Houston, Texas, and then in Detroit, Michigan. And then we moved to New York.
But that has nothing to do with it, but it, but then it does, right? Because it made me who I. So we moved a lot because my father is a rabbi, my mother's a teacher and they wanted to give to the Jewish community and be there for people who don't have who to turn to. And I think that's where I got that really.
That seeped in very deep because I feel very much this need to be there for people and be the person that people turn to. And that's what I have been since I was very, very little. So that's the beginning. That's the actual beginning. But then really I think where my. Beginning starts is when I was a graphic designer, so I went to Pratt Institute in Manhattan and I became a graphic designer and I worked on Fifth Avenue, and then I got married and then I had a baby, and then I came to Israel.
We made Aliah, and now we live in Israel. Since then, So for 15 years I was a graphic designer and because I really liked to do things top notch and I'm always trying to get to the top. So when we got to Israel, I got a really great job with, with the top graphic designer in Jerusalem. And then after that I, I think at that point I had three kids.
I went on my own and was a freelancer and I had really cool clients Intel in Tel Aviv and you know, all over. all over Israel. And then I got some from America and from France. So that was a lot of fun. That was really great. And I got very successful, like, you know, not very successful, like what people think of success, but I felt like I was really leaning into it fully and I was able to rise to the top.
And what happened was that one of the things that helps you grow in a business, and this is probably not news to anyone, but if it is, then take notes, is networking and connections are worth a lot more than. any, any other, you know, sale thing, like you could sell something to someone, but really if you become their friend and are able to help them and they can help you, you're gonna go way farther.
And so I became really, you know, of course my nature is to like people and to be connected, but I got really intentional about networking and connecting and. . I went to a conference of women who are all in business, who are all trying to grow their business, who all live in Israel. And what was interesting is that they, there was this
feeling you can almost like, I can feel it. I'm a very sensitive person when it comes to these things. I felt like everyone was saying the same thing, which was. . I, I only wanna grow enough, like I just need to grow a little bit more. I, I, I don't need to be a millionaire.

Rebbetzin Bat-Chen Grossman
Welcome to the Connected For Real Podcast! I’m Rebbetzin Bat-Chen Grossman, a marriage coach for women in business, and my mission is to bring God’s presence into your life, into your marriage, and into your business. Let’s get started.
Welcome everyone. I am so, so excited, Rebbetzin Bat-Chen Grossman speaking. I have been very busy, very away, and I'm excited to be back. I wanted to tell you that even though this is not our new year, I still think that there is an energy of newness and goals and all of the excitement about what are you doing this year.
So I see it as a fiscal new year because that's what it is. It's exactly what it is. For me, it's the beginning of new financial goals. It's the beginning of planning out what's coming in the coming year in regards to retreats, in regards to programs. We are traveling to America. Big announcement. We're going to be there in March,
and we are going to be having a speaking tour, both me and my husband. Some of the speaking engagements are going to be together, the two of us, where we speak about the back story of how we work together on, you know, certain projects and how that's like, and also I'm going to be speaking about the calm method.
I'm going to be you know, Doing a lot of really cool things. Can't tell you about them yet because they're not finalized. And my husband has his speaking engagements for the haga that he wrote. So all this to be, to, to say all this, to say that if you would like us to come and visit you in your. , you know, state or city.
Then be in touch. Don't feel shy. Please, please, please. I do appreciate that you're listening. I love when people meet me and say, Hey, I heard you on the podcast, or I saw you on YouTube, or I read all your emails. That fills me up. It feels so good. So I'm so, so excited. and I want you to feel comfortable to send me an email and say, Hey, I'm excited.
I wanna know when you're, when you're speaking, I wanna know where you're speaking, or ask me, will you be speaking in whatever state? Because there's some really crazy cool places that are in the works. So I'm excited about that. Also, we are going to be hoping, hoping to try to get together another virtual retreat that is free.
I love those. This is gonna be our eighth one, and I'm thinking that it's going to be in February. So right now the tentative date is February 6th. I'm excited about it because it gives me just enough time to, you know, adjust all the things that I always uplevel. I always uplevel. So it makes me very excited to do another one because I take what I did last time and I, you know, Sort of processed it over to see what works and how I can add to it.
So if you watched my first retreat and then my second retreat, you will see that there's always improvement. Last, last time we did it, we had our seventh retreat. . The women who were there were blown away because they're like, this is my third time doing this, and it's the first time I realized this, or it's the first time that this clicked, and that's exactly why you do something multiple times on my end.
That is why I do the same thing over and over again with the retreat. First of all, because I know that it works. I've been able to see results with women who just took the free program, just the free seven day retreat. Put their all into it and had miracles happening in their life and tons of clarity.
And I know for myself, when I know that I am going to do it again, then I know that I have to concentrate more on taking notes on...

Catherine Gray aims to bring value into this world. By seeing how G-d is involved in our day-to-day lives, and even in business, she is able to help others as a coach and entrepreneur. She and her husband, James, run an engraving business. There isn’t one right way to be in a marriage, or run a business. Catherine shares the learning curve of figuring out who was in charge of what in their business by being self-aware and having a vision.
Highlights
1:08 Catherine Gray is a coach and entrepreneur. She and her husband, James, have an engraving business, which they started in 2017. It was a learning curve figuring out who was in charge of what, but they knew their strengths and had a vision.
11:20 Lately, Catherine has been taking more of a back seat in her business with her husband so that she can focus on her coaching business. James is very supportive of her other business.
13:07 It can be challenging for Catherine and James to compartmentalize home-life and date-life but she gets help from other friends or couples in businesses on how to adjust. However, Rebbetzin Bat-Chen emphasizes that there is no right way. It is important to find what works for you.
19:11 It is not that difficult to find time between being a mother, wife, and business owner for Catherine because she knows herself well. She is aware of her work ethic, and believes her brain works strategically naturally.
21:14 As a Coach, Catherine's main audience is made of entrepreneurs, churches, and charity leaders. She uses the Clifton Strengths Assessment and help people find their calling. She sometimes uses the Clifton Strengths Assessment on her husband as well.
33:27 G-d is involved in a lot of things in our lives, and has even impacted Catherine's businesses in one way or another.

And we are live. Welcome everyone to the Connected for Real Podcast. I am Rebbetzin Bat-Chen Grossman and today is super awesome because I have a very special guest. So, let me give you some background information. Season three is all about women who are working together with their husbands on the same business and as I was interviewing women who are working together on the same business with their husbands, I felt the need to also bring you into my life and show you a little bit of behind the scenes with my husband and how things are and it's actually really exciting and also a little bit scary and all the things. Of course, with all the tech issues that we're having, my husband's still trying to log on so we're waiting for him but meanwhile, I'm going to tell you a little bit of the background story. So, as I was transitioning—oh, there he is. Maybe he will actually be able to join us right now. Let's see.
Hello Rabbi Avi Grossman. Welcome to the show.
RABBI AVI GROSSMAN
Hi! Who are you?
REBBETZIN BAT-CHEN GROSSMAN
[Laughs] That's great. Good beginning. Okay, so please tell our listeners what you do and all the great stuff.
RABBI AVI GROSSMAN
I'd be happy to but I did not hear your request. All I heard was, “Please tell our listeners something something because I’m not sure—can hear you even right now. I don't know if you're listening to me. You're froze about twenty seconds ago. Well, I could sort of hear you so I don't know what you want from me.
REBBETZIN BAT-CHEN GROSSMAN
Oh, no! Tech problems. You know, we live in the same house.
RABBI AVI GROSSMAN
Let's see what the problem—what I'd like to see the recording of this afterwards and see what the StreamYard was actually recording because from my end, I look fine. Thank God and my audio is fine. The video is fine but you're basically audio and video are stuck like anything. So, it'd be very interesting to see where the problem actually was.
REBBETZIN BAT-CHEN GROSSMAN
That's terrible. Let's find out from our listeners. Who do you see more clearly and hear more clearly? Because I have a feeling this is a problem with where you are and not where I am. So guys, everybody, sign up for me. Give us some votes. Tell us I'm the winner. Comments are coming in.
RABBI AVI GROSSMAN
Do I see? I don't see anything coming in but apparently I'm not the webmaster. ...

TAMAR FIELD-GERSH
Okay. So yeah, so I definitely I will I guess I will tell a little bit more about my non-niche niche situation. I am a life coach as I mentioned, and I work and I really I’m kind of niche free as I explained to my friend before we hopped in, because I really just really love working with anybody and everybody who is so open to transformation, and just wants to who has a good life, and they want to fantastic life, but more specifically, what I really love—who I really love working with in particular is, other mama[s], like mama entrepreneurs, and women who are really wanting to create more self-lov...

The following is one of the many conversations I had with experts and professionals about real life and how it affects marriage. Let me know your takeaways on Instagram or Facebook, @connectedforreal. Enjoy.
And we are live. Hi everyone. I want to tell you why I'm doing the Marriage Breakthrough Retreat, and if you have not heard until now the Marriage Breakthrough Retreat is starting on Monday and it's epic. Why I know it's epic is because I've done it before and this one is actually going to be even more amazing because I myself have transformed I had a lot of growth, I have experienced amazing cool things so it's just normal and natural for things to get better when you get better.
So why am I doing the Marriage Breakthrough Retreat? First of all, because I want to give it all. I was trying in the beginning of my business to follow all of the advice of all the experts. They tell you, “Make a little thing and give it for free, and then people are going to like it and taste of what you do and then they're going to want to work with you,” so that's basically how you catch people, and it didn't feel right to me. I wasn't very happy with that whole strategy and when I got really, really silent with myself and I listened to what am I actually here to do and what is my purpose, the purpose was really clear.
I am here to give it all. I'm not here to give a taste and then leave you hungry. I am not here to entice you into working with me. I am here to help you break through to the next level and the only way I can do that is by giving you the full, full thing. So, I pretty much came up with the seven-day retreat, which is just one hour a day on Zoom and it's easy. It's simple. You could sign up at connectedforreal.com/retreat. So, seven days is how much I felt was the perfect amount and I also looked back to see what got me from feeling resentful and annoyed with my husband and just not really thriving, what got me to get out of my own way and to really align and get in touch with what did G d want for me and where am I going with this. So, I retrospectively put together the CALM Method, which is the method that I used in order to get from there to here and the CALM Method stands for connect to yourself, ask for abundance, listen to the answer, and master a higher level of consciousness, because once you connect yourself and then you ask and then you listen and then you see it's actually moving in the right direction, then you want to keep doing that over and over again and slowly it will get you to a higher level of consciousness, and there's only up from there. Also because I hate that people lose lots of weight and then can't sustain it, or get to a certain goal and then can't keep it up because it's actually easier to do the transformation than to keep the transformation. So that is why it's so important to learn to master it and to keep it alive.
Now,
It’s easy to get caught up in one thing and take it to the extreme, then you end up with is a lopsided life. This can happen when your business takes up more attention than your marriage. Meredith Keith-Chirch, a lifestyle optimization coach, shares her experience and expertise on how to make lifestyle choices that will benefit your business and your marriage. Her work aligns with Rebbetzin Bat-Chen’s teachings in the CALM Method, which will be covered in the Marriage Breakthrough Retreat. The Marriage Breakthrough Retreat starts on Monday, January 17!

Food can be used as a coping mechanism to stuff and buffer our feelings. Holistic life coach, Melissa Rohlfs, helps women break free from pick-me-ups in the pantry or sugar addiction and feel calm and confident in their own skin to love their lives. The way we approach our feelings, especially through food, can affect our marriage, so it’s important to learn from a coaches like Melissa and Rebbetzin Bat-Chen on how we can take a proactivate approach to dealing with our emotions and past trauma.
Seeing through the eyes of love is a practice and a choice. Karen Leba Baker is a teacher of consciousness and co-author of 23 Innovations in Selling. From her experiences and studies, she helps women communicate to find clarity, outgrow their stories, and change the lenses through which they see life. There is importance in realizing if something is worth doing, such as arguing, which can destroy love, according to Karen. Rebbetzin Bat-Chen relates these topics to connecting your marriage with God, who is the truth and the light.

Matressence is the process of a woman becoming a mother. Aside from the biological changes, women also experience emotional, social, and economic changes. Bayla Abdurachmanov is a mama on a mission. She helps new moms and moms of young children feel like themselves again after matressence. Learn her MEE Method and see how matressence affects marriage and business. If your husband is with you, let him listen in on this episode too. Bayla shares tips on how your husband can support you better so your marriage can become better as you become a new and improved version of yourself.
Highlights
00:58 Coach Bayla Abdurachmanov is an identity coach for moms and matressence educator, especially young moms and new moms.
01:29 Matressence is the process of a woman becoming a mother. A lot of times, we associate pregnancy with only physical changes. However, Coach Bayla explains that all areas of life are affected by motherhood, and this is backed up by science. Matressence lasts for a minimum of two years, and women change at each pregnancy.
04:06 There is what Coach Bayla likes to call an identity gap that new mothers experience, where a new mom questions why she feels like she isn’t herself.
06:48 It is important to remember that with every birth, we are shifting and moving forward to be better and not who we were before. We must embrace the changes that come with matressence.
07:08 In Rebbetzin Bat-Chen’s Marriage Breakthrough Retreat (Day 5) and Intimacy Master Class, she coaches women on how to focus on an ideal situation and become comfortable with change in order to succeed in one’s marriage and business.
09:50 The three step process on how women can deal with matressence is called MEE: Meet yourself where you’re at, Embrace the change, Embody the vision.
14:48 There is a similarity between the CALM Method that Rebbetzin Bat-Chen discusses in her Marriage Breakthrough Retreat with Coach Bayla’s MEE.
27:28 Dreams, children, and marriage should not be in competition with each other.
29:37 Time is your friend. When we focus on ourselves, time is not wasted or taken away from us. It gives us room to grow and create more space to love, just as what Coach Bayla experienced when she was pregnant with her youngest child.
36:33 There is an adjustment period in marriage that can easily be skipped when a couple has a child early in the relationship, and this can be a big stressor on marriage.
45:10 Listen up, husbands! Coach Bayla shares tips on how to support your wife during pregnancy.
54:14 Coaching in whatever aspect in your life can help you transform into your full potential.
55:32 Coach Bayla’s Awaken to You for Moms Podcast just launched on all major outlets for podcasts.

Sure, sure. So Luisa Morrone. I'm the founder of MWOE, which stands for My Way of Eating—can be your way of eating and so what I have do is I help people reverse type 2 diabetes, not type 1. REBBETZIN BAT-CHEN GROSSMANThank you. Okay, so we titled this Your Soul Work. Tell me a little bit about that and how we can get in touch with that.
PRUE BLENNERHASSETTYeah, for sure. So this is essentially, I guess, the foundation of the work I do in the world is supporting women, to be able to connect with what it is that they're here to bring forward from the deepest part of them, so from their soul, from that unlimited, infinite part of each of us, what sits within us. I find that and definitely, it's been true in my own experience that I've had my own business for 12 years and for a long time I was working in ways that was kind of like I was just creating things for the market, based on what I felt that the market needed and then selling that.

LESLIE URBASAwesome. Thanks. Yeah, so I'm Leslie Urbas. REBBETZIN BAT-CHEN GROSSMANThat's amazing. I never liked diets because I,

REBBETZIN BAT-CHEN GROSSMANWelcome to the Connected For Real Podcast! I’m Rebbetzin Bat-Chen Grossman, a marriage coach for women in business, and my mission is to bring God’s presence into your life, into your marriage, and into your business. Let’s get started.
And we are live. Welcome to today's hot topic bonus, and today the topic is Too Much. This is something that comes up a lot. Too much in marriage. “My marriage is so good if I ask for it to be any better, it would be like I'm ungrateful for what I have.” Same thing with our business. “My business is doing so well. If I try to even imagine it being the next level, growing, then am I really ungrateful for what I have.” So there's a big, big difference between gratitude and wanting more, and I don't think that they have to contradict but I know that they feel really icky if they don't sit right. So we're going to talk about that today.
So here's what's going on. Basically, I just came back from the class that I am part of with randa tar, who is amazing and we're learning Mesillat Yesharim, which is the path the just—I’m making that up I have no idea how you call that in English. We're learning about really creating space and creating space in order to bring God into it and sort of fill that space right because we want to become more spiritual. We want to be more watchful of what we're doing. We want to live a more aligned life, so we—step one is create space and step two is realizing that the void is part of creation— that God created lack for a reason. He created lack for you to realize you need Him and you need to turn to Him. You need to connect, ask, and bring Him to be part of your life and as a partner in your everyday existence.
It's funny because really, if you think about it, our existence is so dependent on Him. We wouldn't be here without Him, but we don't think of it like that on our day-to-day basis. So, what does it mean to create space and lean into that lack? How do we focus on the lack when we've been trained to focus on what's good, focus on what I have, focus on everything that is so that you can be happy? I even gave a class on this, The Recipe for Happiness, and the answer to what the recipe was 50% gratitude and 50% victories. So,

I’m Rebbetzin Bat-Chen Grossman, a marriage coach for women in business, and my mission is to bring God’s presence into your life, into your marriage, and into your business. Let’s get started. The following is one of the many conversations I had with experts and professionals about real life and how it affects marriage. And we are live. Welcome to the Hot Topic Bonus number three. Today we are talking about Technical and Robotic marriages, and this is a huge issue that is coming up over and over again when I am talking to women. Really because we get busy. We have lives things are happening and there are seasons when things just have to get done and we just have to get moving and get through it so things become technical. Who's picking up who? What's going to be for supper? What are we doing about this kid or what are we doing about that issue? The whole thing is fine and that is part of life that you have seasons when things are going to be that way. Just like we talked about survival. There are survival times. There are times when you're just getting through it. There's a hardship, challenge, or something's coming up and you've got to get through it and so it's okay when it's temporary.
The issue starts becoming a real issue when it is no longer temporary, when it starts getting like, “It's been too long since we had a conversation,” or, “Have you noticed that we haven't talked about this or that or the other—" “What happened to all those deep meaningful conversations, the play, laughter, the fun and excitement, and all of that warm fuzzy feelings that you used to have? This is all very familiar to anybody who is in a marriage and living life. Pretty much all of us. [Laughs] And so, I want you to— first step is be ready to change it. Be not okay with it being okay anymore because as long as we think this is normal and this is just how life is, and this is how it's going to be, and it's just nothing to do about it, this is how everybody has it, then you're going to feel stuck because you're gonna feel like there's nothing to do about it. The second you bring awareness to the fact that it can be changed and should be changed if it's bothering you—of course, those of you who are happy having technical and boring marriages go ahead enjoy it, but most of us are not and so just bring awareness. “I am not okay with this and I want to change it,” and then it is so easy to change because once you bring awareness to it, that's 50% of the work. Now you just have to figure out what works and move it forward, and for that my friends you should definitely sign up for...
it ideal to just be enough in this world? Rebbetzin Bat-Chen breaks the barriers on being just enough and wants you to be more. Rebbetzin Bat-Chen shares her big aha moment from a retreat last summer, and it’s different from what others think about being enough. We, our marriage and relationships, business, parenting—these are meant to be more than enough.
In This EpisodeRelease, Surrender, Let-Go & Let God... Easier said than done, right? When things don’t go our way, it is easy to feel frustrated and annoyed. We sometimes question God, but actually, He is the expert on letting go so we can breakthrough and become better versions of ourselves. This Hot Topic Bonus is a preview of the Marriage Breakthrough Retreat, which is designed to teach us how to release the need to control.
Highlights01:28 Rebbetzin Bat-Chen gives an analogy on computers to surrender and let go. You can definitely relate to this! What kind of person are you when it comes to this situation?04:50 You don't have to live in a technical, robotic marriage. You can get to the next level with your husband and have fun together.06:18 In the last two Marriage Breakthrough Retreats, women were blown away from what they learned and it brought more happiness into their marriage.07:02 A few weeks ago, Rebbetzin Bat-Chen experienced frustration with conflicting schedules. We all experience this. Rebbetzin Bat-Chen decided to just stop and allowed herself to be curious about what God was trying to tell her.12:08 Resentment, frustration, and feeling annoyed are temporary. God allows things to fall into place.12:31 What we feel are not directed toward a physical experience but our connection with our transformation.12:51 The Marriage Breakthrough Retreat is designed to help you align God's purpose for you by having a breakthrough to have an amazing marriage and successful business.

The following is one of the many conversations I had with experts and professionals about real life and how it affects marriage. Let me know your takeaways on Instagram or Facebook, @connectedforreal. Enjoy. And we are live. Welcome to the Hot Topic Bonus. In preparation for the Marriage Breakthrough Retreat, I like to do some hot topic bonuses with things that come up as I am preparing for their retreat and today's topic is Release, Surrender and Let Go. You know how it is they tell you, “You just have to release the need to control,” or, “Just surrender and everything will be okay,” or, “Let go and let God,” which is one of my favorites but how, right? Well, I sort of get that that's the ideal or what I'm supposed to be doing but how do I do this? Or even better, “Easier said than done,” right? It's sort of too much expectations on ourselves and then you beat yourself up for not surrendering or for not knowing how. So, I want to tell you a little bit about how I had surrendered recently.
I want to give you first an analogy, so the analogy goes like this. You know how you're trying to fix something on your computer because things are going slow and they keep getting stuck, and there's something going wonky with your computer you don't know how to fix it? So, you have this expert who is looking over your shoulder and he's going to tell you what to do. He starts telling you, “Okay, so go into the Settings,” and he has to start explaining to you how to do that. Go to the apple, click Preferences, go into Settings, blah, blah, blah, and it's just taking longer and you're trying to find your way in this world of tech that you may be very techy but maybe this isn't your specialty, and it's going slow but you're learning and you're getting there until you finally get so frustrated, you're like, “Okay, nevermind. Here.” You get up and you let them sit down at the computer and like magic,

In This EpisodeA good life and marriage require time management. Helen Abelesz, a Life Coach, works with women who are overwhelmed and need help prioritizing themselves and everything else in their lives. In this episode, she gives advice and tools to use to make your marriage happier and how to feel calm every day.
Highlights00:55 Helen Abelesz works with busy moms who forget to put themselves as a priority and look after themselves.03:36 Taking ourselves out of the situation and having a mantra or positive affirmation can help us when we are feeling overwhelmed.05:48 The reason we get overwhelmed is that we try to do too many things. Multitasking is not always the best.07:00 Rebbetzin Bat-Chen agrees that it is important to focus on one thing at a time, and gives examples of how she disconnects from her phone to be with her children.08:59 When it comes to tidying up, Rebbetzin Bat-Chen shares a tip she learned from her friend, who looks at her house from another perspective--on top of a chair!10:22 Music is another fun way to get the kids to clean up at Helen's home.13:54 There are subcategories to time management, such as systems that can be put in place to make your life flow better.14:28 We make millions of decisions every day. Planning ahead helps control stress and allows your day to run smoothly.16:50 Decision fatigue happens when you get exhausted from making decisions. Rebbetzin Bat-Chen uses if-then systems to plan ahead and is her key to success.18:11 The first video uploaded on Connected for Real's YouTube page is all about Rebbetzin Bat-Chen's journey of working on herself to stop that all-or-nothing nature and doing just one thing: prayer.19:49 Everyone has their one thing. During the Marriage Breakthrough Retreat, one of the participants shared what they do to create their system.20:34 A listener and friend of Rebbetzin Bat-Chen asks Helen the question: How to have a cleaning up session? Three-year-old doesn't want to help with his mess and it will take less time to clean it up myself, but on the other hand, we miss on the concept of cleanup after you play.21:58 From one parent to another, believing in your child is so important in parenting. Trust that your child will do what needs to be done when he/she is ready, whether it is to clean up or make bigger decisions.24:58 Helen is asked what to do when you're a night person, and your husband is a morning person. This has a lot to do with time management because not everyone is in the zone at the same times of the day.28:53 Hashem made us different on purpose. It is natural to be different from your spouse because you learn skills, tools, and abilities from each other.31:13 Women can forget to put themselves first, even in the littlest of things, such as food.32:05 The woman is the center of her world, and marriage revolves around her. If a wife doesn't prioritize herself, everything can fall apart.33:27 In coaching sessions with Helen where clients say that they don't have time, they examine their weekly schedule and what they do. Helen helps women look at how they are using their time.34:27 Journaling is a cool tool that Rebbetzin Bat-Chen uses to write down hour by hour what she remembers she did.37:43 Remember to be kind to yourself. You don't have to be doing too many things at once.

Presenting the new podcast by Rebbetzin Bat-Chen Grossman:
The Connected For Real Podcast!
What can you expect?
Let's start with what I'm expecting... a baby... in just a couple of weeks!
Yup, that means I'm launching (read: birthing) a podcast at the perfect time for me to take a break and repurpose some of the most awesome content from my LIVE shows that I've been hosting for the last year and a half on YouTube and Facebook Live.
Every interview is filled with fun, inspirational, practical, and real conversations with experts and professionals in their fields. We talk about how "real life" affects your marriage and what to do to align your marriage to your success and purpose.
Don't worry, it will be awesome! I'll be back for season two with fresh new episodes before you know it.
Who it's for?
You know this is for you if you ended up here... I know not everyone is a woman, or in business... and I'm glad you are here supporting me in my journey!
My focus is on God-centered married women in business because I am one, and I speak from my experience and what works for me.
