Our lifelong journey of discipleship is modeled in God's relationship with the nation of Israel. In Exodus 35, God commands Moses to have the people give toward the building of the tabernacle, a place for God's presence to dwell among them. “Christians have dual citizenship. We are citizens of nations of the earth and the kingdom of heaven. Dual citizenship is not equal citizenship. Our allegiance to Christ supersedes our allegiance to a country. This world is not our home. We worship heaven’s king. We obey heaven’s laws. We serve heaven’s agenda. We proclaim heaven’s message. We seek heaven’s reward. To live on earth as citizens of heaven will result in alienation.” —HB Charles Jr.
Our citizenship is in heaven. As we kick off our first week of Homeland, Pastor Kenny Hall teaching on the revelation, the revealing, of Jesus Christ. Often times the way we think about the last book in the Bible missing the mark of how it was intended, and ultimately it beautifully declares the majesty and power of God and summarizes the whole story into two words: Jesus wins.
If there's hidden gem in the 10 Commandments, it's the fourth. God has woven a rhythm of rest and celebration into the fabric of our lives, but so often we choose to ignore it. In the last week of our Hidden Gems series, Pastor Skip Allen teaches on the importance and value of Sabbath rest.

A consuming problem must bring a changed perspective and a constant presence. When we see the signs that we're stumbling, here's how we can look to Jesus.
Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! In Psalm 34, David leads his people to magnify the Lord, in the midst of their circumstances. From his story, we can learn how to carry this mindset of magnifying the Lord instead of our problems, and better understand the difference between grief and self-pity. Ultimately, we see how the gospel empowers us to live in the freedom of Christ even in the midst of any suffering life throws at us.
In Psalm 40, David writes of his experience in the pit: something we have all experienced. Out of his words, we can see a pattern of live, and how God is with Him in his hardship, wasting nothing. Ultimately, God uses his story for His glory.
As we kick off our series on the Psalms, Pastor Skip Allen studies Psalm 77, Asaph's cry to God for help in the midst of darkness. From his prayers, God gives us a path out of the pit of depression and despair that we can apply to the darkness we face in our own lives.

In the last week of our series on Titus, Pastor Skip Allen teaches on Paul's final words to his mentee, Titus, giving his final instructions and God's guide for dealing with the distractions, divisions, and distance he is facing.
How can you impact the culture around you? When Paul sent Titus into Crete, it wasn't an easy assignment. But Paul laid out for him the steps for how to impact the people around him, and for us to be able to accomplish the same goal.
To open our 3 week series in Paul's letter to Titus, Pastor Chandler Young teaches on recognizing the true gospel of grace and how that impacts our lives.

Living things grow. Non-living things don't.
What the world needs is the Gospel. But in Mark 4, Jesus teaches that the growth of the gospel is determined by the quality of the soil. So, if the gospel is to grow in us, we have to be the healthiest soil we can be by the power of God.
Perhaps the greatest understatement in the english language is the phrase "some assembly required." In week three of our Multiply series, Pastor Skip Allen teaches on how our gathering as the body of Christ allows us to multiply and make disciples. We don't just come to church to attend, but as a way to encounter, engage, and encourage others.
The measure of success in the Church is not just how many disciples are made, but how many disciple-makers are sent. In the final week of Let There Be Light, we see God's design was to live in perfect relationship with His creation. But when our sin entered the world, He was unfolding a plan to bring redemption. This is the story.
As we wrap up our journey through scripture, we're taking a few weeks to look back on the Let There Be Light story. Approaching the Christmas season, Pastor Kenny Hall teaches on why Jesus came by using the story of his first miracle in John 2, turning water into wine at the wedding celebration.
The whole story of Scripture ends in the light of victory through Jesus, and the promise of a perfect, personal relationship with God forever in Heaven. While eternity can be a tricky thing to think about, meditating on the promise of forever can bring hope and healing to our lives here on earth.
The Let There Be Light story comes to a close through promise of restoration, written by John, the disciple whom Jesus loved in exile on Patmos. The book opens with a letter to the 7 churches, and Pastor Jeremy Peeler teaches through Jesus' words to the church in Ephesus and how they have lost their first love.

God grows His church through addition, multiplication, and even subtraction, but He never uses division. Pastor Kenny Hall teaches from Acts 6 about the three priorities of the Church, and how we are called to live out our role as we help people far from God find hope in God.

So many of them had been touched by his ministry, but some had seen him die the week before. As the scene unfolds on the mountainside, the risen Jesus lays out his new plan of attack: go and make disciples.
"Father forgive them, for they know not what they do." As Jesus goes to the cross, He is executed alongside two criminals. Over and over again, He prays for forgiveness through his suffering. As one of these criminals sees this love, he realizes that the things he's heard about Jesus all along are true, and confesses his need for a Savior.
The night that Jesus was to be betrayed, the night He was to go to the cross, He fought the greatest battle anyone has ever fought. Knowing what was to happen to Him, He bowed before His Father in prayer, ultimately being strengthened to give His life for his betrayers. In His faithfulness, we see our template for victory over temptation.

We overvalue stuff. We undervalue ourselves. We overestimate worry. We undermine God. Fear and anxiety have been a part of the human heart since Jesus' ministry. In the famous Sermon on the Mount, Jesus teaches His followers that freedom from worry comes from a trust that our Father will always be faithful to provide.
Pastor Jeremy Peeler delivers a narrative sermon out of John 4, the story of a politician and his dying son. In it, we see a man who sees his greatest need is not what Jesus can do for Him, but simply Jesus himself.
JD Greear once said, "To cut yourself off from prayer is to cut yourself off from power." So often we live our lives on our own strength. The Lord's Prayer teaches us the importance of coming before God and praising His greatness, and confessing our weakness. So, how important is prayer in your life?
Early in Jesus ministry, we read that he "had" to pass through Samaria, a place men like Him were supposed to avoid. When He encounters a woman at the well at noon, He uses her to bring about the greatest Samaritan revival in history.
The Wise Men at Jesus' Birth are one of the most well known parts of the Christmas story, but what are there actual significance? Who are they? What about their gifts? Most importantly, what does their presence say about God's story? Pastor Kenny Hall answers those questions as we wrap up our Chapter on Christmas in July.

In our last week of the journey through the Old Testament, Pastor Skip Allen teaches from its final book. As we continue through our chapter on the time of the Prophets, Pastor Skip Allen introduces us to Daniel. As the chaos of the judges ends, the nation of Israel wants a king, so that they can look like everyone around them. The rise of the monarchy through King Saul, David, and Solomon ultimately points to God bringing our one true king years later.
Pastor Jeremy Peeler teaches us through a narrative on the book of Ruth, given from the perspective of her great grandson, the great King David. Through his eyes, we look back on the life of a woman devoted to and redeemed by God, through her husband Boaz.
Israel has conquered the promised land. They've seen God fight for them. This is where the story should say "happily ever after." But the people forget their God and turn their backs on Him, and the cycle of the book of Judges begins.
Faith makes you wait. Faith teaches you to follow. Faith is scary. But ultimately, faith is a choice. Pastor Kenny Hall wraps up the chapter of The Exodus by talking about Joshua's faith in leading the people in their first steps into the promised land, and how God has called us to do the same thing in our lives.
