The Alabama Crimson Tide played a classic game in Tuscaloosa this past Saturday. Bama ran out to a big lead, and then Georgia came roaring back to make it a game. Ryan Williams entered the frame to put Alabama ahead for good, and Zabien Brown sealed it with an interception. It was a wild one, and there are a bunch of reasons to be excited if you are an Alabama fan. We talk about everything we saw on this episode of BAMS so join Drew, William and Thomas for our reactions to the Tide rolling the Dawgs.

Join Drew, Redfish and Thomas as we give our takes and breakdown ahead of a massive contest in Tuscaloosa

Alabama had one of its first tests this past Saturday and they emerged with flying colors from Wisconsin's Camp Randall stadium. The 42-10 win was a big step forward for this football team, and showed tantalizing glimpses of what could be on the horizon. Yes, the Badgers have more in common with a tomato can than a college football team, but going on the road against a P2 school is never an easy task. We talk Bama/Wisconsin, and give some early thoughts on Georgia in this episode of BAMSRadio. Join Drew, William and Thomas for another great hour of discussion surrounding the Alabama Crimson Tide

Alabama won a game against USF to the tune of 42-16, but there will need to be a crowdfunding campaign for some new feet after the team collectively shot them off for the majority of the contest. Penalties, fumbles, and miserably poor offensive line play were the orders of the day for the Tide until they put it together at the end of the game. A twenty-eight point explosion later, the final score looks more defensible. There were many negatives but also a handful of positives from the game. We talk about those, as well as dig into Wisconsin as Alabama goes up to their house for a visit next Saturday. Drew, Fish and Thomas are back at it again for this episode of BAMSRadio so tune in for their thoughts on the Tide!

The first game of the Coach KDB era at Alabama was a resounding success. The team covered. The team looked dominant throughout. The staff was able to play a ton of players. It was as good a debut as anyone could realistically hope for. We talk that, and we talk USF on this episode of BAMSRadio. Join Drew, Redfish and Thomas for another episode as we have a bit of crow, and talk about what the future looks like for this version of the Tide.

After what could only be called a tumultuous offseason following Nick Saban's retirement, the portal defections resulting from that decision, and the installation of Kalen DeBoer as the new head coach, it is almost time for camp. Dog days of summer? Nah. As everything turns into an inferno in Alabama, the Alabama Crimson Tide have followed suit on the recruiting trail. The offensive line class looks supreme. The entire crew is rounding into form and suddenly the 'Coach KDB can't recruit' chorus is decidedly silent. We've said it on the show once, but it bears repeating: Replacing Nick Saban was never going to be easy, or perfect, but so help all three of us, it has gone spectacularly well through the first offseason with Saban at the helm. Join Fish, Drew, and Thomas for this episode as we talk about recruiting, and how these players will fit into the team in the years to come on this episode of BAMSRadio!

Whew. Cardiac Alabama tried everything it could to lose the Iron Bowl in a mistake filled mess of a game, and it didn't matter. A 4th and 31 bomb to Isaiah Bond forestalled a massive upset, and set up a brawl in Atlanta between Bama and Georgia. We relive the Iron Bowl and add a healthy dollop of UGA discussion. Make no mistake. These are the two best teams in the country squaring off for the SEC title game. Jalen Milroe presents some unique headaches for UGA, but the UGA offense has been humming for the past few weeks. It sets up an intriguing matchup that will be appointment-level viewing. That was a delicious cupcake. The Alabama Crimson Tide came out and did what they needed to do in a 66-10 throttling of Chattanooga. Milroe was impressive, Ty Simpson was impressive, and everyone with an erg of eligibility left got to see the field. On deck is a visit to the Voodoo Hellhole in West Georgia for this team. Without the Kentucky game, there would be major heartburn. Now, though? Alabama is improving every week, and playing with an edge. Given the swirling discussions, your crew of Drew, Fish and Thomas also discuss if there is a scenario where Alabama would be left out of the playoff if they beat Auburn and UGA. Spoiler alert: No. Listen in to this episode of BAMS for all of that and more surrounding the Crimson Tide football program!

Whew. In what was generally thought to have been a bizarrely difficult contest due to circumstances outside of the Crimson Tide's control, Alabama showed up, and annihilated a good Kentucky team this past Saturday. A sleepy 11 AM kick coming off of an emotional game against LSU was no match for the Crimson Tide's execution on both sides of the ball. Even counting a late, long rush, Alabama held Kentucky to 250 total yards while racking up almost 450. More importantly, the team jumped all over the Wildcats and put together its second complete game in a row. A tasty cupcake is up next, and then a trip down to the Voodoo Hellhole in West Georgia for a tiff against a suddenly decent-ish Auburn squad. Join Drew, Fish and Thomas as we discuss all of that and more on BAMSRadio.

The Alabama Crimson Tide scored a win, and virtually clinched the SEC West, against the LSU Tigers this past Saturday. Defense came optional for large swaths of the game, but the Tide found a way. No, Dallas Turner's hit was not dirty. Hush. Yes, Alabama beat the snot out of LSU in the second half. No, BAMSRadio didn't send a "Thank You" fruit basket to the SEC office....cough Anyway! This team has gotten to be a lot of fun. We talk Tide with Drew, Fish and Thomas on this episode of BAMSRadio!

View Details

The Alabama Crimson Tide had a chance to take a deep breath after eight straight weeks of games last week. A visit from the LSU Tigers now looms. The Tigers have arguably the best offense in college this year, but the Tide D is no slouch either. The LSU secondary looks to be trotting out the nacho guy against the Tide given injuries. Who has the advantage of this tough matchup? Drew, Fish and Thomas debate that and more on this episode of BAMSRadio!

While the Tide beat the Arkansas Razorbacks this past Saturday, the performance did not inspire confidence ahead of a major revenge game against Tennessee. Is this what Alabama is? A deep-throwing, mediocre bunch on offense with a defense that can go Godzilla at any point in a game? It isn't the worst overall formula, but it sure is frustrating to watch at times. What can you expect against Tennessee on this episode of BAMS? Your crew of Drew, Fish and Thomas break it down. The line is pretty high, so why is that, and does it translate to a big Bama revenge game in? Listen to this episode of BAMS to find out!

Major test: passed. The Alabama Crimson Tide beat the Texas A&M Aggies in College Station. It was a physical rockfight throughout, and Alabama may have found another pitch in their offensive repertoire. The defense remains wonderful as well. After a tough couple of road games, Alabama gets to return to the friendly confines of Bryant-Denny for homecoming against the Arkansas Razorbacks. The Hogs are 2-4, and worse than their record indicates, so there should be some great growth opportunities as the Tide continue to evolve toward a finish product. We'll react to the A&M win and get you prepared for the Arkansas Razorbacks on this episode of BAMS. Listen to Drew, William and Thomas where you may actually hear us eat some crow this episode too!

It was a good weekend for the Alabama Crimson Tide. As road teams struggled across college football, Alabama came out and took care of business in Starkville against Mississippi State. That win was a defensive tour de force, and the offense was able to stitch together enough consistent success to put up 40 points. The challenge steps way up this weekend against Texas A&M in College Station, though. The math and statistics of this game do not paint a rosy picture for the Crimson Tide, and we discuss what needs to happen for the Tide to pull out a win. Listen to Drew, William and Thomas as we react to week 5, and look ahead to week 6 in the SEC!

View Details

Tale of two halves for the Alabama Crimson Tide. The first half was same song, different verse for the 2023 Alabama Crimson Tide. The second half, though, was impressive. The defense clamped down on an explosive Ole Miss offense, and the Alabama offense got some things figured out en route to a 24-10 total team win. If Alabama sustains that level of offensive efficiency, they will be in the ballpark of a top-20 offense nationwide, and the defensive performance would be in the top 5. The question, though, is whether the second half against the Rebels was the exception, or if it will be the rule moving forward. Drew, Fish and Thomas discuss that and more on this episode of BAMSRadio so tune in!

Two weeks of poor performance have put a tremendous dent in the Alabama Crimson Tide football season. Quarterback is a problem, and it isn't as easy as "insert Milroe back in the lineup." In fact, Milroe would make the problem several orders of magnitude worse given a deeper film review of his performance against the Longhorns. The offensive line fell off a cliff against USF and until they improve the QB position is a sideshow. Redfish breaks that down heavily in this episode of BAMSRadio while Thomas takes a blowtorch to the QB problem. All of this is discussed in the run-up to a tough game against the Ole Miss Rebels. Who do Drew, Redfish and Thomas see winning that contest? Listen to this new episode of BAMSRadio to find out!

View Details

Well. That happened. The Texas Longhorns came to town and laid a whoopin' on the Alabama Crimson Tide. Jalen Milroe struggled. The defense was put in horrid positions and finally broke. The so-called astounding offensive line was beaten to a bloody pulp over the course of that game. The Tide have a lot of soul searching to do to figure themselves out. Who starts at quarterback? What can we expect moving forward? What do we want the USF game to look like? The BAMSRadio crew breaks down what we saw against the Longhorns, and talks about all of that and more. The season is still completely within Alabama's control, but it is put-up or shut-up time for everyone within that organization. Nothing is so fundamentally broken that it can't be fixed, but it has to start quickly. Join Drew, Fish and Thomas as we break it all down on this episode of BAMSRadio

The Alabama Crimson Tide started off with a stunning win over MTSU last Saturday. The surprise wasn't in the victory itself, but in how easy it appeared on both sides of the ball. The offense was crisp and efficient while the defense was completely smothering. That does inspire confidence heading into a big game against Texas, but the team still needs to get punched in the mouth to see how they respond. Overall, though, Drew, Fish and Thomas are confident that the team will respond and all three took Alabama to cover the spread against Texas this upcoming Saturday. Alabama did what Alabama does on Saturday against the Georgia Bulldogs. After being an underdog for the first time in two presidents, the Tide emphatically took down Georgia to win another SEC Championship. The Tide is #1 in the College Football Playoff, and with how the bracket has set up, has a great chance to secure another national title. We do have some crow to eat as all three of us took Georgia. "Stressful" is the word of the season for this Crimson Tide football team. Another close call lead to one of the more insane endings that will ever be seen in the Iron Bowl. It took four overtimes, and one of the most unbelievable 97 yard drives to get it done, but the Tide move on to the SEC Championship Game against the Georgia Bulldogs. There haven't been much taller hills for Nick Saban's Tide to crawl than the Bulldogs, and all of us see a close, four-quarter fight. We discuss the Disaster in the Pasture, and the SEC Title Game on this episode of BAMSRadio. Join Drew DeArmond, William "Redfish" Barger and Thomas Watts for another fun time!

Alabama struggled to put away a solid Arkansas Razorbacks squad this past Saturday, but they did manage a 42-35 win and earned a shot at the Georgia Bulldogs in the SEC Championship. There is this little matter of a trip down to that West Georgia Voodoo Hellhole for the Iron Bowl before Alabama battles Georgia. The Tigers are in a tailspin after blowing a huge lead against Mississippi State and then losing to South Carolina. Will they give Bama a game? That was over quickly. Alabama dispatched a bad New Mexico St. Aggies team this past weekend. A bunch of players saw the field, a couple of injuries raised some eyebrows, and the Crimson Tide rolled. Now the final sprint of the season is upon us with the Arkansas Razorbacks coming to town. A win and Alabama clinches a brawl with the Georgia Bulldogs. Arkasas has some disadvantages coming into the matchup with the Tide, not the least of which being that they play a similar brand of football to the Ole Miss Rebels. While we expect the Tide to roll next weekend, there are still some issues for the team to work through. The Alabama Crimson Tide beat LSU 20-14, and will require a new foot after shooting the collective foot off from mistakes. It was not pretty, and that level of effort will get Alabama beaten against a motivated Auburn or Arkansas team in a few weeks. Having said that, a win is a win and everything is still in front of this football team. We break down what we saw, mourn for a couple of shattered TV remotes from throwing them across the room, and look ahead fo New Mexico St. Join Drew DeArmond, William "Redfish" Barger and Thomas Watts for another episode of BAMSRadio!

Alabama had a restful bye as most of the SEC beat each other up this past weekend. Georgia was impressive taking advantage of Florida's mistakes. Auburn beat an overmanned Ole Miss at home. The first College Football Playoff rankings are due this week. We discuss that on this episode of BAMS, as well as the dumpster fire lovingly referred to as Baton Rouge. The Tigers have talent, but do they care at this point given the lame duck coach and mounting injuries? Drew DeArmond, William "Redfish" Barger and Thomas Watts give their picks on BAMSRadio!

The Alabama Crimson Tide beat the Tennessee Volunteers in a weird game where the Tide statistically dominated, but mistakes made it closer than necessary. Even with those mistakes, the Tide's win was its most dominant on both sides of the ball to-date. The cigar haze was comically real over the stadium on Saturday night. The bye week is upon us, and Drew Sanders is due back for the defense ahead of a critical November stretch. There's a bit of bonus play by play from Drew DeArmond as Mac Jones threw a bomb mid-recording. Well. That wasn't fun. The Alabama Crimson Tide went on the road and were upset in a stunning turn of events down in College Station. The film should be ritually burned by the entire team because everyone could have played better, even the players who had the best games against the Aggies. The lack of proper preparation, and doing the little things right in the week leading up the game, finally came together with a listless effort to get Bama upset. Alabama is now at a crossroads. The team either circles the wagons, starts doing the little things correctly and reaches what is still an absurdly high ceiling for a college football team, or everything fractures and the Aggie game was a preview of things to come. We discuss where everything went sideways against the Aggies, offer some clarity on WHY some of the decisions may have been made by everyone involved, and look ahead to Mississippi State on this episode of BAMSRadio. Much ado about nothing? Much ado about nothing. The Alabama Crimson Tide put a beatdown on the Ole Miss Rebels. Popcorn was consumed but not by anyone wearing that powder baby blue nonsense. The defenas continues to progress, and the offense gets better every week. The biggest thing that could derail the Crimson Tide train is injuries. The loss of Jase McClellan will hurt, and the running back room is suddenly thin ahead of a road trip to College Station to play Texas A&M. The Aggies are reeling from a couple of losses but will give the Tide their best shot. We break down Ole Miss, and look ahead to A&M on this episode of BAMSRadio. After a tough game against Florida, a sugary cupcake in the form of the Southern Miss Golden Eagles was just what the doctor ordered. It was called a "get right" game, and the Tide certainly got right. Bryce Young played his best game so far, and Jameson Williams has rockets attached to his cleats. All of that prepares for a visit from the Ole Miss Rebels in what is arguably the biggest game of Alabama's regular season. Lane Kiffin will have the Rebels ready to rock next Saturday, but Nick Saban should have his team ready to roll. Alabama completed an undefeated SEC regular season with a 52-3 drubbing of the Arkansas Razorbacks. Coach Cookie Monster brings his LSU Tigers to Tuscaloosa for a visit, and a beat down from Bama this weekend. Yes, your erstwhile producer Thomas Watts is angry about it. There is one good thing that came out of that Tuesday night fracas, and it is that Alabama is ranked #3 and that empowers the Disrespect Card. Two bye weeks in a year is excellent. Everyone involved in football gets to take a deep breath and fix the little issues that are causing heartache TWICE. Also, did you see how badly Florida beat up on Auburn? We did. It was amusing. The BAMS trio talk a little bit about that, grumble about the Crimson Tide defense while trying to explain WHY some of the issues are happening from an X's and O's standpoint, and talk about A&M. We universally expect another big win because the Aggies have been one of the larger disappointments thus far in 2019 so join Drew DeArmond, William "Redfish" Barger & Thomas Watts for another hour of Crimson Tide conversation

A fine week it was for the Crimson Tide. The 49-7 win over the USM Golden Eagles was the best game the team has played thus far, even if it was little more than a cupcake. The offense did what it does, and the defense put the brakes on a solid offensive football team. WIth the Ole Miss RebelManSharkBearPICKAMASCOTS coming to town following a tough loss at home to Cal, Alabama will look to build on the momentum that started with solid cupcake play. Expect another big win, but before that, your crew of Drew DeArmond, William "Redfish" Barger and Thomas Watts talk a little bit of 'cruitin', and whether new all-everything Bryce Young will continue doing Tua things once Tua moves on to the NFL.

One of the more interesting twenty-four point wins that Nick Saban has ever recorded. That's one way to describe the Crimson Tide's game against the South Carolina Gamecocks. The defense wasn't great, but it wasn't "burn it all down" bad. The offense needed to run more, except the nature of Run-pass-option plays mean that it was actually correct to throw it more. Overall, it was business as usual, and much ado about nothing in the annals of Crimson Tide lore. We react to the game, talk a bit about Southern Mississippi, and peek into a window of the always-churning recruiting battle. The first team did what the first team does for the Alabama Crimson Tide. They took care of business in 2 quarters and change, and then the second team had a rough performance against an overmatched New Mexico St. team. Now, it is on to a road trip to play the South Carolina Gamecocks. They lost a gnarly game to the Fightin' Mack Browns to open the season and chomped on a cupcake last weekend. If Only Colt McCoy Hadn't Gotten Hurt (tm). The game promises another chance for the Alabama OL to develop, and see how a bunch of young pieces on the Crimson Tide team play in their first true road environment in college. Football is back! Alabama did Alabama things to an opening week opponent in their 42-3 win over the Duke Blue Devils. True freshman were all over the field making plays, particularly Shane Lee and Christian Harris. The offense did start a little bit slow, but once it got on-track, Tua did Tua things and the group put in a solid performance. We also talk recruiting, particularly how the pair of TE TDs impressed five star Arik Gilbert and peek ahead to what looks like a complete demolition this upcoming weekend against New Mexico State. Football is upon us! Florida and Miami played a 3.5 hour slapfest highlighted by a 4 year old trapped in a UF QB's body to start the season, but now its time for the teams with an actual chance to win anything of note to take the field. Unfortunately, Alabama will battle Duke down one of its best players due to a knee injury to Dylan Moses. There are potential replacements, but there is definitely some trepidation going through Bama nation as the Crimson Tide prepares for Duke. It wouldn't be a football season at Alabama without some injuries for fans to slam their desks about. Trey Sanders is not expected back, and there were some dings during this past weekend's scrimmage that we talk about as well. It wasn't all bad news, though, as several Tide players look to be playing winning football for the team. Markhail Benton played a solid scrimmage, and there was a Ben Davis sighting. Overall, it was another step on the path to Duke in a couple of weeks, and there are still plenty of reasons for Alabama fans to be excited for the 2019 football season. The early signing period is quickly approaching, and even before that the Tide will hear from several of the blue chips that they have been working towards over the past eighteen months. Same stadium, same teams, similar results. The Georgia Bulldogs pushed the Alabama Crimson Tide to the brink in the SEC Championship, but the back up quarterback again emerged to lead the Tide to a win. Last time, it was Second-And-Twenty-Six. This time, it was Jalen stepping in during a wild 4th quarter to win the game for Alabama. In made-for-Hollywood drama, the Tide again beat the Bulldogs. Head coach Kirby Smart called a ridiculous fake punt and we excoriate him about it, but we mostly revel in the most recent Crimson Tide triumph. This year, though, Alabama enters the contest with several questions about the quarterback position, as well as how healthy players will affect the Tide defense. While most places consider Alabama the favorite in the game, Drew DeArmond, William "Redfish" Barger and Thomas Watts are skeptical. They'll break down why on this episode of BAMSRadio!

That was fun, wasn't it? A 59-0 shellacking of the Vanderbilt Commodores, and the Alabama Crimson Tide is back to earning all of the accolades. Everything worked last Saturday, and the BAMS crew isn't complaining. With Vanderbilt now squarely in the rearview, we turn to the Ole Miss Rebels and their date with the Tide in Bryant Denny. Shea Patterson has been putting up video game numbers during the first month of the season, but your crew of Drew DeArmond, William "Redfish" Barger and Thomas Watts remain unconvinced that such shenanigans will continue for much longer.

Happy New Year to all of our listeners. Bama went out and rocked the Washington Huskies to advance to the College Football Playoff title game. It was an anemic offensive performance, and Lane Kiffin managed to get himself fired from a job that he had already decided to leave. In his place, Steven Sarkisian looks to lead the Tide. Talk about an audition! We'll discuss that and more with WIlliam "Redfish" Barger, as well as some Aaron Settles audio from Drew. The holidays are here. It even got a bit cold in Alabama! On the court, the Alabama basketball team continues their season, and Drew was able to get some postgame comments from both Avery Johnson and several players. We'll have all that and more from Drew DeArmond, William "Redfish" Barger and Thomas Watts tonight starting at 7. Be there or be Auburn.

This has been a week of extremes for the Crimson Tide. A dominating 48-0 win over Kent State on the field represents Alabama's most complete game of the season thus far. Whew. BAMS's collective hearts are still racing from the 48-43 marathon in Oxford this past Saturday. A win is a win, though, and the Tide had to play a 60 minute game to secure theirs. They have a solid defense, and a quarterback that excels at being both excellent, and putrid all wrapped up into a set of shoulderpads. BAMS will welcome Saturday Down South's Murf Baldwin from 8:15-8:45, and follow that up with TiderInsider's Rodney Orr from 9:00-9:30. Otherwise, the floor is open for callers, as well as some riffing from hosts Cary Clark and Drew DeArmond, as well as the great Oz himself, Thomas Watts

Following their victory over Florida, Alabama is enjoying their first bye week. It's been fundamentals for the boys in Crimson at practice this week on top of some time to get over the bumps and bruises of a football season. For BAMS, we don't take bye weeks, and have a great show lined up for this evening. They will be followed up by John Garcia Jr from Scout.com at 9 to talk about a multitide of Tide topics including recruiting, and what he's seen from the 2014 team. The action starts at 8:00 with Cary Clark, Drew DeArmond and Thomas Watts. Be there, or be Auburn.

Three weeks and three blowouts later, its time for real football. Alabama has eaten the cupcakes, and destroyed the Mountaineers. Time for some big boy football! The Florida Gators are next on the slate, and they will surely prove to be Alabama's toughest test to date. They have some serious athletes on that squad, even if Will Muschamp's seat is only a few degrees cooler than the surface of the sun after their triple overtime "thriller" against Kentucky. We have a very Gator-centric show planned for our listeners this evening. We'll be joined by William "Redfish" Barger from 8:00-8:30 as well as Murf Baldwin from Saturday Down South from 9:00-9:30 to talk some Tide ahead of the visit from Florida. The craziness starts at 8 so be sure to join Cary Clark, Drew DeArmond and Thomas Watts for your weekly dose of BAMSradio!
