Inez Ribustello, got her start in the world of food and wine after moving to New York City to pursue a career in cooking. She chose New York’s Institute of Culinary Education to jumpstart her new path, where she began to learn about wine. From there, she worked at Best Cellars, the groundbreaking, mid-priced wine store on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Her wine career took a huge leap forward when she became an Assistant Cellar Master at the renowned World Trade Center restaurant Windows on the World. In a very short time, she was promoted to Beverage Director, putting her in the position as wine buyer for the largest grossing restaurant in North America. The terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 impacted her both personally and professionally. Having lost friends, colleagues, and her job in the attacks, she had to face her future. Ultimately she returned to her hometown with her fiancé (now husband), Stephen. Together they opened their own restaurant, wine bar, and retail store called On the Square. The wine list at On the Square holds the prestigious Best of Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator. Inspired by Best Cellars, they created a user-friendly, non-intimidating wine list, which was well received by both customers and press in the Eastern North Carolina region. In 2009, Inez was 2nd runner-up in the Best Sommelier in America competition held in New York City. She is a member of the Alumni Hall of Fame for the Institute of Culinary Education and a graduate of the Court of Master Sommelier’s Advanced Exam. Inez’ next big venture was Tarboro Brewing Company, a microbrewery that started brewing in February of 2016. Almost a year later, she and her husband opened a satellite taproom serving tacos in the Rocky Mount Mills. Stephen and Inez have two 2 children that they absolutely adore. In September of 2021, Inez released her self-published memoir Life After Windows, a book she has been working on for the past 20 years.

Tracey Howes is a RAID Freediver and Oxygen Advantage Instructor based in the UK. Having grown up near the sea in South Africa, she has always been a supporter of ocean activities that encourage health and wellbeing.
Freediving is a form of underwater diving that relies on breath-holding until resurfacing rather than the use of breathing apparatus. Tracey has competed in the UK British Freediving Association Pool Championships and is a member of AIDA, the worldwide rule and record-keeping body for competitive breath-holding events.
The powerful breathing techniques she’s learned in her freedive practice prevent anxiety and stress negatively influencing thought processes and performance. This training inspired Tracey to expand her knowledge of functional breathing and enable her to teach others how to breathe efficiently and maximise their physical and mental health.
By incorporating functional breathwork techniques into daily practice and training programmes, Tracey’s clients have transformed their breathing habits whether they are training for a marathon or open-water swimming and improved how they manage stress, anxiety and sleep. Clients with sports-induced asthma have seen positive results by implementing gentle breathwork exercises. Tracey has a particular interest in female breathing which differs to male breathing with new scientific evidence supporting this.
Tracey is determined to share ‘breathing re-education’ and practical exercises which we can apply in our day-to-day activities with meaningful, measurable and long-lasting results.

Shanna Truffini is our 100th guest on the show.
When her daughter Anna was only 7 years old, she was diagnosed with 'anticipatory anxiety'. In her effort to help her daughter, she tried everything from therapy to homeopathic remedies, but she still could not get to the root of her daughter's emotions. It wasn't until one day a friend of hers compared stress and anxiety to 'watering your weeds'.
This is when she realised that Anna was 'watering her weeds' instead of 'watering her flowers', focusing on the negative feelings and thoughts instead of the positive. This is how the You Are a Gardener® seeds were planted.
Creating a new narrative and tools for her family to talk about their feelings and emotions, opened the lines of communication and gradually Anna was able to spend more time 'pulling her weeds' to make more room for her flowers".

Jean’s first career was in the world of telecoms. Although she loved it, she was constantly stressed, feeling like she had no control over her life and increasingly no work-life balance.
When a family issue forced her to take time out she started to think “maybe there’s a better way to have a good income AND a good work-life balance”.
That was 23 years ago. Then she decided to start her own business.
After 7 months of working on it very very part-time, she was able to leave the corporate world.
Since then she has grown an international business, in over 30 countries, working from home. She has helped many many people to do the same so that they too can take control of their lives, whether that’s by simply earning some extra income, or developing a whole new career.

Since then, she has been crowned ‘The Entrepreneurs Godmother’ by a plethora of successful entrepreneurs including Dragon’s Den and Apprentice Winners. In recognition of her outstanding contribution to enterprise, not only was she named one of the UK’s Top Ten business advisers, she was awarded an MBE in 2020.

The key factor in Amanda’s business was not to change in any way how Granny Gothards Ice Cream is made but rather up scale the production capabilities to meet the growing demand and ever increase flavours. Amanda will not compromise on the quality of the ingredients or the customer service they offer.
ProIce is Amanda’s latest project and is taking the ice cream to a different market. Amanda and her team have developed a range of totally natural Hi Protein Ice Creams and Frozen Yogurts which is aimed at the Retail Sector, a new challenge for Amanda and one that is both exciting and daunting in equal measures. When not making, selling or eating ice cream, Amanda enjoys watching rugby and is an avid follower of Exeter Chiefs, enjoys walks with her husband and dogs, travelling and says her favourite role is being Oma to her 2 ½ year old Grandson Oliver.

Elizabeth Cooke has always had a fascination with books both as a reader and an author. One of her earliest memories is being taken to a library and trying to reach up to the shelves; She was too young to read, but recalls a real thirst to know what was being said inside every cover. Books of all kinds are intimate and memorable for her because she still see them as doors into a private world. A writer reveals their thoughts, sensations and memories: a reader takes the author’s hand. Of whatever genre, a book is a shared experience.
Liz began her career winning a national short story competition, and worked producing some 120 stories and serials for IPC magazines. Lisa, joined New Look in 2009 following a move to the South Coast after the birth of her daughter. Graduating from Manchester Metropolitan University in Accounting and Finance, Lisa started her career with Ernst & Young in Cambridge, where she gained her tax qualifications.

Elizabeth Mooney is a Long Island native now residing in New Jersey. She has been dancing since the age of 2 and has been teaching dance and fitness for over 10 years now. She is the creator of Country Fusion, a fitness workout that incorporates country music and dance. This workout burns 500+ calories in 50 minutes. It is designed for all ages and levels. Elizabeth is also a professional dancer and choreographer who teaches line dancing at various locations throughout Northern NJ. As a child, she lacked self-confidence – looking at her now, though, you’d never believe it.
Originally trained as a bilingual P.A. (she’s fluent in French and speaks reasonable Spanish), she openly admits she had no clue what she wanted to do when she grew up!
Vanessa has consistently challenged herself conquering many of her own fears, from dropping solo to work in a French-speaking part of Africa, launching a successful business later in life or overcoming a fear of heights by jumping out of a plane from 10,000 feet up!
However, it was not until 1997 that she discovered the fear and excitement of public speaking and many years later, following her heart, went on to set up Watch Out World training businesses in public speaking – as she puts it “all through the back door”, as she did not have a training background.
In 2008, tragedy struck as she lost 3 family members in a matter of weeks which sent her into a downward spiral. However, like a phoenix rising from the ashes she once again returned to do battle; this time, discovering her true life purpose – helping businesses charge what they’re worth by genuinely understanding their own value and balancing this with creating value for their clients.

Kate lost her left hand at two-years-old following a freak accident. Aged four, her parents encouraged her to learn to swim; it was a daunting task as Kate was afraid of deep water and struggled to balance with one hand, but she persevered and went on to swim regularly.
Kate never let her disability hold her back, and alongside swimming she also pursued and excelled in other sports. At 10 years old, she competed in her first disability swimming competition. To her surprise, Kate performed well and later qualified for the National Championships.
In 2002, aged just 13, she was earmarked as a potential Paralympian and went on to represent Great Britain for the next 10 years.
The proudest moment in Kate’s career so far was representing GB at the 2008 Beijing Paralympics. She then went on to win a silver medal in the 100m breaststroke and bronze in the 100m Individual Medley at the World Championships in 2009.
Unfortunately, illness meant Kate missed out on qualifying for the London 2012 Paralympic Games. But she now finds herself working in the media as a sports reporter, and in schools as an athlete mentor - proving that from failure and disappointment you can still find success in other opportunities.

Alice May is a multi-tasking mother with four not-so-small children. She is fortunate enough to be married to (probably) the most patient man on the planet. They live in, what used to be, a ramshackle old cottage in the country. Her conservatory is always festooned with wet washing and her kitchen full of cake.
Following many years exhibiting as an artist and selling commissioned work, Alice decided that 2016 was the year she would start writing. Today's guest is Zelda de Hollander, who runs Studio Shotz Photography, a Boutique photographic studio in Christchurch, Dorset.
Photography has always been a passion of Zelda's. She got her first camera aged 5 and has loved photography ever since. All her pocket money used to go on developing films she’d taken of her life while growing up.
After A-Levels, Zelda studied for a (BA) Hons in Commercial Photography at The Arts University at Bournemouth, at the same time working part time at a small photographic studio; Studio Shotz.
It was then that the owner decided to move on and Zelda made the brave move to take over the business and run the studio herself, straight out of Uni, at only 21 years old (with massive help and support from her parents).
In May 2014, Studio Shotz Photography left it's retail shop, moving to Christchurch to become an appointment only studio space residing in a residential address. This has allowed Zelda to spend more time with her clients and to work much more flexible hours as well as taking on more location work.
3 years on, Studio Shotz is busier than ever! In working from home Zelda now has the work-life balance that she always missed out on whilst being on the high street & is now working with some of the biggest and most well-known companies in the Dorset area. Every day is different; which makes going to work quite exciting!

Her prior profession to being a Coach was as a primary school teacher. She left teaching when her husband left, as she was disheartened with the way everything had become about ticking boxes and not really doing the best for the children. She was inspired to became a coach for kids (Calm Kids) and a coach for adults (Calm Minds) as the therapies and coaching she had taken, helped her overcome the devastation of her divorce.
At first when her husband left she was lost and grieving for the future she thought she had, but with the support of coaching she reinvented herself anew. She tried all sorts of new activities such as a free fall sky dive at fifty, flew to Bali to meet friends who were travelling and took her PADI Scuba diving certificate. She subsequently went to Tel Aviv and Amsterdam for trainings, conferences in Phoenix and Colorado and much more…
She now helps clients move forward to an improved relationship or deal with the aftermath of the breakup.

Rebecca started her career in film during her Masters at the Royal Academy of
Dramatic Art. As part of her degree she financed and staged a play at the
Edinburgh International Fringe Festival. This was her first foray into
producing. Further to this Rebecca produced a number of theatre plays and worked
for a prolific US film producer. Rebecca was passionate about stories - the
film medium, collaborating with creatives and understanding the business.
Rebecca started to produce music videos and short films. Her music videos were
shown on the main satellite channels and her short films competed in several
high profile film festivals including Clermont Ferrand.
Rebecca's first film 'Forget Me Not' was inspired by classic love films. It was
a two hander and Rebecca utilised the London backdrop to gain production value
for example the film was shot on the London eye. Rebecca won Best Film at the
London International Film Festival and the film had it's world premiere at Palm
Beach International Film Festival.

Jess started her architectural career by spending a year completing an foundation course in Art + Design at Bournemouth Arts Institute before starting her degree at Manchester University. After completing my Part 1 in 2008 she moved to London for a year where she worked for a small practice called MGL Architects in East London, working on mostly residential projects of varying scales. She then spent a year working abroad in the French Alps, this was to improve her languages as well as enjoying the winter snow.
Jess returned to Manchester to complete her post graduate (part 2) in 2010-2012. Following this she moved back to Dorset and started working for Western Design Architects (WDA), where she has now worked for over 4 years. Annie's work has been exhibited in galleries in the UK and France and is in private collections. The first in a series of pieces called ‘Female Landscape’, carved in French Limestone, won the Sir Robert Marshall Prize in the Bridport Open Art Exhibition in 2003. The latest in the series is currently being shown in the Sculpture Garden at The Mill at Gordleton.
She is a former chairman of a Riding for the Disabled Group, has been a Trustee of The Fortune Centre of Riding Therapy and of a Spina Bifida support group, and a volunteer ambassador for the Honeypot Children’s charity for several years.
Having seen how the power of art can change people’s lives for good, Annie is now putting her work as a sculptor on hold to devote her energies and experience in fundraising to creating a new charity, hArt - Hampshire Art for Recreation and Therapy, and building it for the future. Consequently the Angels and I still look after clients who have been with us from our very first year in business and staff who joined Domestic Angels in 2002 still work for me.
The Angels visit family homes most often whilst customers are at work and school. By the time customers return home, the kitchens and bathrooms are clean and tidy, the living room is ready for a relaxing evening, the bedrooms are dust free and calm.
Our elderly and housebound clients build solid, long term relationships with their Angels. This service is far more than housework, this is companionship and more often friendship. We support people through all that life has to offer and still ensure that their home is clean and safe and that their fridge is full."

Like most people, the industries I work in happened by accident. I’ve always found myself in the ‘difficult-to-market’ industries including high-tech, software, engineering, manufacturing and business services. I thoroughly enjoy the challenges and craziness of these industries.
