Jesus gave the disciples power and authority prior to His death (Luke 9). He gave them authority again just before He returned to heaven (the Great Commission) however they had to get power for themselves at Pentecost. The outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost was so that they, and therefore we, would be witnesses (of His resurrection) in order for us to be empowered to do the work Jesus commissioned us to do.
The degree to which we are forgiven is proportional to the degree to which we forgive others. A Christianity 101 message. Forgiveness is something that we must implement daily so that we may be free from the burden of bitterness that invariably comes when we don't forgive.
The Apostle Paul says "Now is the time of God's favour". What is it, what does it look like and what attracts the favour of God?
We are hidden in Christ therefore we have safety and security and everything we need for life. Being hidden in Him gives us boldness and strength to step out and reveal Jesus to a lost and dying world.
