Hello and welcome to Show & Tell # 53 - Endless Realms, the new RPG by Lunar Games.
Endless Realms is the first project from the design team at Lunar Games and uses their own rule system that's a d10/comparative system. It's very streamlined system, easy to learn but filled with options for those that want to explore it's depth. But for me personally, the icing on the cake is the setting/lore they've created. With some amazing art talent and a custom world filled with unique and thought out species the initial setting for Endless Realms is truly filled with endless possibilities. Please check out their Kickstarter when it goes live on April 24th and listen to our Trial of Endless Realms that will be releasing over the next couple weeks.

Today’s guest is Tim and James who are the youtube twins of Caleb and I. They host a show called Tabletop Terrors which is a Youtube channel and podcast and are part of a larger organization called Absolute Tabletop which has adventures and supplements for your home games.
In this episode I get to know Tim and James a bit more, learn about how they got into tabletop RPGs and what inspired them to create their show. I learn about their newest supplement The Copper Jackel and they are nice enough to offer it for $1.00 to all our listeners for a month using the coupon code RpgAcademy.
Tim and James supported AcadeCon last year and are again. I hope you'll give their show a watch/listen and try to figure out which of them represents Caleb and I in the mirror world.
Thanks for listening. We hope you enjoy.

Please be aware that this episode features from odd audio issues on Pedro's audio that I was unable to fix. I hope you are able to get through it, but if not. TL;DR Acranis sounds awesome so please check it out and support their Kickstarter. Hello and welcome to Show & Tell the Podcasts from The Rpg Academy where we bring on guests to talk about something new and cool we want them to show us and tell us all about! (Get it?)
Today’s guest is Pedro A.K.A. Stat Monkey with Paradigm Concepts.
This is the team behind Arcanis which started as a campaign world became an award winning game system and is now reverting back (sorta) to a campaign setting compatible with D&D 5e. As a teaser of this world, Pedro has allowed me to share the D20 Codex Arcanis which is a 250+ page pdf book about the world of Arcanis.
For our conversation today we discuss where Arcanis came from, it's journey from setting to game to setting and where you can get loads of free Arcanis adventures to try in your home games. We also touch on their current Kickstarter: Reforged, which is an updated for 5e version of a previous book called Forged in Magic. In it's pages you'll find 400+ magic items filled with Lore and story you can drop into your existing games. I'm happy to say that the Kickstarter has already funded and they are working toward stretch goals. You can check it out HERE

Arcanis always has a strong presence at the Origins Game Fair in Columbus Ohio and i've signed up for a game there this year.
Pedro is also working towards some support for our AcadeCon Kickstarter and maybe some exclusive adventures for us to run at AcadeCon.

Today’s guests are Kat Kuhl and James D'Amato from the most excellent One Shot Podcast and Campaign Podcast. In this episode Caleb discusses their new game company Paracosm Press and the upcoming Kickstarter for their first game - Noisy Person Cards - which is designed to help GMs and players develop voices for role playing. You can download a print and play trial version of Noisy Person Cards here.
Be sure to follow the official Paracosm Press Twitter here for all the details about everything NPC and more. And don't forget about all the cool social stretch goals that the NPC Kickstarter is using to make the game even better!
Speaking of which, there's the Noisy Person Contest. As James and Kat explained in the episode, all you have to do to enter is record a video of yourself saying the phrase "May the Great Dragon Tyrant bless you with his merciful wrath" in the voice of a kobold on any of your social media pages. Tag the post with the NPC Kickstarter link. Then send the link of your video to npc@paraosmpress.com. The prize gets better when more entries are submitted.
Make sure you check out the Kickstarter when it goes live HERE:
We definitely had some internet gremlins messing around with us for this episode, especially during the end. Apologies. Stay tuned for bloopers during the credits!

John comes at the hobby from an interesting place having only been active for about 4-5 years, growing up in a household that forbid him from playing. John also shares my love for taking fictional ideas to a logical if horrifying end.

For this episode we have Jim McClure of the new(er) RPG podcast Talking Tabletop. What Jim is doing is quite amazing, he's bringing on guests that are related to the RPG community in some way. Hello and welcome to Show & Tell, the podcasts from The Rpg Academy where we bring on guests to talk about something new and cool we want them to show us and tell us all about! (Get it?)
Today's guest is Jacob Smith, the founder of Edgeland Games and the creator of One Shot Wonders. One Shot Wonders is a fantastic new product that is on Kickstarter right now! Check it out here.
One Shot Wonders is a completely unique tool for GMs. It is a collection of one-shot adventures that can easily fit into almost any campaign and be adapted to almost any party level. This valuable resource gives GMs a perfect solution for a variety of situations, including those times when they didn't have time to prepare an adventure or when a player or two misses a gaming session. One Shot Wonders is created and tested by a team of Chicago GMs and game designers.
The pledge levels for the One Shot Wonders Kickstarter range from a print and play version to a complete box set with hardcopy books, custom minis, pre-gen characters, and a wet-erase map. The campaign includes options for both Pathfinder and Dungeons & Dragons Fifth Edition Rules. During the interview, Jacob stated that the minimum funding goal for One Shot Wonders is $60,000. Before launching the campaign, the team was able to lower the minimum to $45,000.
Jacob will be a guest at AcadeCon and will be running pick up games with One Shot Wonders on Thursday for any of you early birds looking for something to do as well as on Friday morning. If you're coming to AcadeCon, take some time to talk to Jacob and experience for yourself how awesome One Shot Wonders really is.

Hello and Welcome to Faculty Meetings: the general advice and discussion podcast from The RPG Academy. I am Michael, and this is Faculty Meeting # 73: Shadow of the Demon Lord; Interview with Robert J. Schwalb. At Winter Fantasy this year I had the chance to do an early play test of a new and about to be Kickstarted RPG system called Shadow of the Demon Lord. I also had the chance to speak briefly with the creator, Robert J. Schwalb. I had a blast playing the game and asked Mr. Schwalb if he'd like to do an interview for our show and to my delight he said yes. In addition to this interview we also recorded a live game which will be released over the next few days as a 'the Trials' series of games. We did the play through before this interview so we reference that game several times. I had an absolute blast talking to Robert about the game and hope you guys enjoy it as much as we did. I also hope you will check out his Kickstarter when it goes live on March 12th, 2015

Hello and Welcome to Faculty Meetings:The general advice and discussion podcast from The RPG Academy. This is where we discuss topics that came up at our gaming table or yours
I am Michael, and this is Faculty Meeting # 53 - Atomic Robo w/ Mike Olson
Caleb and I had a chance to sit down with Mike Olson, lead designer on the awesome Atomic Robo RPG (powered by FATE). Atomic Robo is a comic property by Writer Brian Clevinger and Artist Scott Wegener. I am a huge fan of FATE, both the system and the book itself. I think Atomic Robo surpasses FATE core as my favorite RPG book. The way they incorporate the comic's art to illustrate rules and concepts is nothing short of amazing.
Mike will be at GenCon this year and I hope we'll have a chance to game together.

Jerry H. is also a backer now, but decided not to use Patreon. He arranged for a one-time donation through PayPal, but i'll be giving him some Patreon rewards equivalent to his donation.
We also have 2 new review on iTunes this week. Clancy777 and Dominick951 both gave us 5-star reviews. Than you both!

I am Michael, and this is Faculty Meeting # 52 - Friends w/ Cthulhu & Friends
In this Episode Caleb and I sit down with Josh and Veronica from the fantastic Podcast: Cthulhu and Friends. An Actual Play podcast featured on the GeeklyInc Network. If you haven't checked out their AP yet, I would encourage you to do so. It is one of the best AP's out there (that I've found) and well worth the time.

Hello and Welcome to Faculty Meetings: The general advice and discussion podcast from The RPG Academy where we discuss topics from our RPG table or yours
I am Michael and this is Faculty Meeting # 46 - Roll20.net : Data Delve. In this Episode Caleb and sat down with Nolan T. Jones one of the 3 co-founders of Roll20.net. We had previously had Jared on as a guest to share his love for the Virtual Table Top, but this time we went straight to the source with Nolan himself. We cover a lot of ground in this episode, back to the humble beginnings of Roll20.net and how/why it was originally created. We then discuss the big update coming any day now: Data Delve and what changes / improvements it makes and then we discuss briefly the future of Roll20 and the hopeful expansion of the market place with both user and publishing company created content.
During our talk, Nolan brought up how to include the Escalation die from 13th Age as a macro on the VTT so it's included in everyone's rolls. I'm attaching a couple videos of that. There are numerous more videos on the web to learn how to do some nifty stuff with the program.
We also briefly touched on a webcomic series called the House of ORR that Nolan writes. I'm including a link for that as well.

Hello Everyone,
Very excited to bring you this extra-special episode. We had the privilege of sitting down (well, on Google Hangouts) with Richard Baker and Stephen Schubert of Sasquatch Game Studio and talk about their recently Kickstarted product Primeval Thule. Thule is a campaign setting in the vein of Conan vs. Cthulhu, low magic, where the world is a dangerous place and the cities are no safe haven. If you haven't heard of it yet, take a look at their Facebook Page, Website and Kickstarter page.
I want to thank Richard and Stephen again for giving us some time to discuss Thule and hope you enjoy our conversation.
