In this episode, we will experience and learn about the prayer at Pentecost. We know that on the day of Pentecost the Lord fulfilled His promise with the gift of the Holy Spirit. On that day Apostle Peter preached and the scripture says about 3,000 souls were saved, and the Lord kept adding to their number daily those who were being saved. This is where and how we come to know of the prayer at Pentecost and its powerful experience!
In this episode, we will experience and learn about the two travelers on the road to Emmaus. These two travelers though their hearts were heavy and they were sad, Christ in His un-ascended form visited with these two travelers on the road to Emma’s. As they walked along the road they shared all that had happened, they talked about their hopes and adoration and their sadness and loss, it wasn’t until Christ opened there eyes that they were enabled to recognize Him. This is where and how we come to know of the two traveler’s and their Prayerful experience!
In this episode, we will experience and learn about the Servant Girl and her prayer, often times this little girl is referred to as Naaman’s servant girl, through scripture, we come to learn about her as the commentary reminds us that she brought healing and faith in God, it reminds us that she was faithful even though she was taken captive from the land of Israel, The scripture says by a band of Syrian raiders, and through her prayer experience she desires healing for her Syrian master Naaman who is a leper. This is where and how we come to know of the servant girl and her Prayerful experience!
In this episode, we will experience and learn about the woman with the alabaster box, where we come to learn through scripture and are reminded in the commentary, that she was the first person to tell the Good News as the first to witness Jesus’s empty tomb, she was a disciple that traveled with Christ and supported Jesus’s ministry, a witness to His cruxificion and His burial, a divine example of what I call a wordless prayer, a prayer without words offered through her divine action..… this is where and how we come to know of the woman with the alabaster box and her Prayerful experience!
In this episode, we will experience and learn about Job and his prayer, the commentary says he is depicted as a man tested by God, he was a man the scripture says from the land of Uz who was blameless and upright, a man who feared God, the Amplified Bible says Job feared God with reverence and Job abstained from and turned away from evil because he honored God. Job in this instance has lost all he had, his children, his cattle, his crops, and his wife said curse God and die. Job in his loss and suffering with excuriciating boils covering his entire body, Job’s friends show up to comfort and console him in his grave suffering, but instead they ridicule, persecute and accuse him.… this is where and how we come to know Job and his Prayerful experience!
In this episode, we will experience and learn about Simeon and his prayer, the prayer that allowed him to meet Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus in the temple of God. The scripture tells us he was a righteous and devout man of Jerusalem and he was one of the first to recognize Jesus as the Messiah. The commentary teaches that it is recognized in the Bible as the presentation of baby Jesus in the temple and the scripture says it was the Holy Spirit that prompted Simeon to go to the temple where he held the Christ child, while blessing, praising, and thanking God. This is where and how we come to know Simeon and his Prayerful experience!
In this episode, we will experience and learn about the Midnight prayer, the prayer that allow us to experience Paul and Silas praying and singing hymns of praise to God at midnight. The scripture tell us that Paul and Silas were beaten and imprisoned and placed in stocks in the inner prison, but even in the midst of all of the cruelty…injustice…and even as the crowd join the attack…we find Paul and Silas and we come to know and experience The Midnight Prayer., this is where and how we come to know this Midnight Prayerful experience!
In this episode, we will experience and learn about the widow of Zarephath’s prayer. The commentary tell us that she showed great faith even in the most trying and difficult times. The widow of Zarephath help us to become familiar with the life and ministry of the Prophet Elijah. The Prophet Elijah is a major prophet in our Old Testament scripture and we come to see that this widow, the widow of Zarephath provides him food, just before she and her son were to eat their last and final meal, this is where and how we come to know the widow of Zarephath’s Prayerful experience!
In this episode, we will experience and learn about the woman with the issue of blood, the commentary tells us her name is unknown, she was sick for twelve long years, suffering and had spent all she had to only grow worst, and in an instance because of her faith, she was made whole. The commentary remind us that she was desperate for a miracle. She didn’t have fame or fortune, she was desperate and thronged in a crowd, all she had was, if I could just touch the hem of His garment. We don’t know much about the woman with the issue of blood, but we do know she had suffered for twelve long years and was desperate for a miracle, this is where and how we come to know the twelve long years prayerful experience!
In this episode, we will experience and learn about the Ethiopian Eunuch, his desire for God, and his reach for salvation, as he encounter Apostle Philip on a desert road. The Ethiopian Eunuch had traveled to Jerusalem to worship God and on his way home as he was reading from the scroll of the Prophet Isaiah, an angel of the Lord sends Apostle Philip to join the Ethiopian Eunuch in his chariot. In this divine interaction the Ethiopian Eunuch is reading the word of God, he was asked by the Apostle Philip if he could understand what he was reading, his response was how can I understand unless someone guide me correctly, Apostle Philip preached the message of Jesus Christ, explaining Christ as the promised Messiah and source of salvation , when they came upon some water and he asked what forbids me from being baptized, the Apostle Philip responses and declares, if you believe with all your heart you may be baptized, this is where and how we come to know the Ethiopian Eunuch and his prayerful experience!
In this episode, we will experience and learn about Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fiery furnace, their faith, and prayerful occasion. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were young, wise, handsome Jewish men taken captive into Babylon, where they were appointed over the administration of the providence of Babylon. They remained devote in their faith to God and they lived consecrated lives. They defied King Nebuchadnezzar, the scripture tells us they did not serve Nebuchadnezzar’s gods or worship the golden image which he had set up. This is how we encounter Shadrach Meshach, and Abednego in the fiery furnace in and with and through their prayerful occasion!
In this episode, we will experience and learn about Zaccheus and his prayerful encounter. Zaccheus the scripture identifies as a notorious sinner, a chief tax collector, and a cheat who gains his riches from over taxing the Jewish people. The scripture says that he was short in stature and that he climbed a sycamore tree to see Jesus. Christ called him a spiritual son of Abraham, declaring that salvation has come to him and his entire household. This is how we encounter Zaccheus in and with and through his prayerful encounter!
In this episode, we will experience and learn about Nicodemus and his prayerful conversation. Nicodemus the scripture says was a respected Jewish teacher, a Pharisee and member of the Sanhedrin. Also, the commentary shares that he is mentioned in the gospel of John three times once to seek Jesus at night, once to speak for justice, and once to honor Christ body for burial. The divine significance the commentary reminds us is how Jesus teaches Nicodemus, you must be born again. This account of scripture in the Amplified Bible tells us and identifies Nicodemus as asking Christ a question in his prayerful conversation… this is how we encounter Nicodemus in and with and through this prayerful conversation!
In this episode, we will experience and learn about Simeon and his prayer. Simeon as the commentary shares is a just and devout man of Jerusalem, and he is a key component in the presentation of Jesus at the Temple. The account of scripture in the Amplified Bible reminds us and identifies Simeon as righteous and devout, carefully observing the divine law, looking for the consolation of Israel and the Holy Spirit was upon him… this is how we encounter Simeon’s prayer!
In this episode, we will experience and learn about Queen Esther and her prayer. Queen Esther is known for her beauty, she is known for the decree, for such a time as this. The commentary reminds that she was Queen over Persia and Medes and that she risked her life to save God’s people. Queen Esther is known as an orphan raised by her uncle Mordecai. Mordecai tells Queen Esther to seek the face of the King, King Ahasuerus, whom had not summoned for the Queen for thirty days. For the sake of the Jewish people, Queen Esther breaks the law by going before the King without being summoned and she seeks the favor of King Ahasuerus… this is how we encounter Queen Esther’s virtuous prayer!
In this episode, we will experience and learn about Isaac and his prayer. Isaac the second patriarch of the Holy Bible, he is the fulfillment of God’s promise to Father Abraham. The commentary calls Isaac a miracle in the flesh, because Abraham and Sarah did not have Isaac until they were well up in age. Isaac continued Abraham’s line, his name means laughter, many believe it is because his mother Sarah laughed at the news she would give birth in her old age. Isaac a child of the promise, as the commentary mentions follows the Lord, he marries his wife Rebekah and they have twin boys Esau and Jacob, there is favoritism between the two.…Esau the hunter a man of the field, and Jacob a quiet man dwelling in tents… this is how we encounter Isaac’s prayer!
In this episode, we will experience and learn about Abigail and her prayerful conversation. Abigail was the wife of Nabal a Calebite whom the scripture says was harsh and evil in his dealings. The scripture introduces us to Abigail as intelligent and as having a beautiful appearance. When she encountered King David and his four hundred men of war, who were set to annihilate her husband Nabal, and instead King David declared a blessing for her discretion and discernment because it stopped him from bloodshed. The commentary has identified Abigail as the peacemaker. This is how we encounter Abigail’s prayerful conversation!
In this episode, we will experience and learn about the Prophetess Anna and her prayer. The prophetess Anna according to scripture was the daughter of Phanuel of the tribe of Asher, the scripture tells us she lived with her husband seven years and then a widow to the age of 84. She did not leave the temple area but served and worshipped with prayer and fasting. This seasoned prayer is The Prophetess Anna’s prayer which she prays after she encounters the Messiah who was being presented at the Temple, as was the custom. The prophetess in her prayer leads with praise and thanksgiving to God, as she continued to speak of Christ to all who were looking for the redemption and deliverance of Jerusalem. This is how we encounter The Prophetess Anna’s prayer!
In this episode, we will experience and learn about Tabitha and Apostle Peter’s prayer for Tabitha. Tabitha is also known as Dorcas. The scriptures and the commentary remind us that Tabitha was a disciple of Jesus Christ who was well known for her good works and acts of charity, she sewed garments of purple and gave to the needy. We are reminded that she was a part of the inner circle in the early church, and a follower who learned from Christ. As we come into knowing more about Tabitha’s prayer, we find that she became deathly ill and it was Apostle Peter who prays Tabitha’s prayer and she is restored to life. He prays a prayer for a woman who taught us that we love others by using our gifts for God’s glory in service to those around us. Tabitha’s prayer which Apostle Peter prays brings her back to life and health in an instant and this became known all over Joppa and many came to believe in the Lord as Savior. This miracle prayer is Tabitha’s prayer which Apostle Peter prayed that led many to come to believe in Christ Jesus as Lord and Savior, this is how we encounter Tabitha’s prayer!
In this episode, we will experience and learn about Zephaniah and his prayer. The scriptures and the commentary reminds us that Zephaniah was a minor prophet a contemporary of King Josiah of Judah. His name means “God has hidden.” Zephaniah is used of God to proclaim the approaching divine judgment. The commentary reminds that he warns Israel and the other nations in the area with a burning fire as he purifies them from sin, evil, and violence. He ministers in optimism to those that have carried the burden of reproach they shall become a name and a praise and the people shall not see evil any more. This experience in God causes us to encounter this phenomenal prayer to God and in and through Zephaniah’s prayer, this is how we encounter the divine fact that our God is a warrior who saves and He rejoices over us with shouts of joy!
In this episode, we will experience and also learn about a father and his prayer. The scriptures and the commentary reminds us that this father and his prayer contains reverence and belief in God’s compassion as well as God’s power. The petition is for God to deliver his child and this desperation, as well as the father’s reverence and belief cause us to encounter the compassion and power of God in and through his prayer, this is how we encounter a father’s prayer!
In this episode, we will experience and also learn about the Prophet Nahum and his prayer. Nahum is considered a minor prophet in the Old Testament scriptures and the commentary reminds us that his poems announce the downfall of Israel’s oppressors. The Prophet Nahum shows us that God works throughout history and punishes evil and protects those who take refuge and trust in Him. We encounter the Prophet Nahum as he describes the character of God in and through his prayer, this is how we encounter the Prophet Nahum’s prayer!
In this episode, we will experience and also learn about Stephen and his prayer. Stephen is a disciple of Jesus, it is noted that Stephen saw Christ standing on the right hand of the Father, just before he was stoned to death for defending his faith. He was the first Christian martyr and his final words were a prayer of forgiveness for his attackers, this is where we encounter Stephen’s prayer!
In this episode, we will experience and also learn about the Prophet Joel and his prayer. Joel’s name means one to whom Yahweh is God and that is a worshipper of God. Joel is known to be the 2nd of the twelve minor prophets, it’s important to add that Joel is minor because it is short in comparison to other books of the bible, but it is in no way less important. The prophet Joel brings us into the importance of understanding repentance leads to the restoration of God’s blessings. In this instance because of Joel’s worship of God and his genuine relationship with the Lord, the Prophet Joel describes the Day of the Lord and its magnitude, the reality of this impending danger leads him to encourage prayers, fasting, and repentance, this is where we encounter the Prophet Joel in prayer!
In this episode, we will experience and also learn about Josiah the 16th King of Judah, Josiah’s name means God supports and heals. The commentary shares he set in motion religious reforms by removing worship of idol gods and that he was only eight years old when he became king. In scripture he is described as a righteous king, a king who walked in all the ways of David his father (forefather) and turned not aside to the right or left. King Josiah paved the way, set in motion religious reform for the kingdom of Israel, God’s chosen people and he did it with prayer!
In this episode, we will experience and learn about Isaiah and his prayer. Isaiah one of the major prophets of the Old Testament scriptures, as we’ve come to know predicted the coming of Jesus Christ to save mankind from sin some 700 years before Christ was born. The prophet Isaiah brought hope to God’s people during a challenging time. He lived a life that honored and pleased God, and he prays a prayer of hope, a prayer that sustained Israel during the Assyrian’s mighty empire that dominated, controlled, and occupied. The Assyrians were thorns in the side of Israel, scripture calls them the rod of God’s anger as they were used for God’s judgement because of Israel’s idolatry and sin. The prophet Isaiah reminds us that even in the midst of challenging times, prayer brings hope!
Today’s Podcast is going to be different, today we get the opportunity to visit with one our lead pastors in the Philippines, Pastor Daisy Udas Palabrica. Pastor Daisy and her late husband, a mighty man of God Pastor Elmerson Palabrica, from Jesus Christ The Only Way To Heaven Church, allowed me to visit them on a short-term mission before the pandemic on Mindanao Island for their Vacation Bible School (VBS), Youth Camp, Jesus Film and Feeding Mission. It was an amazing time in the Lord and during this time the Lord used pastor Daisy and her husband in a phenomenal way. One of the things that stayed with me, was when Pastor Daisy shared about miracles, signs, and wonders through prayer, as the Holy Spirit would wake her to pray during this season at 3am!
In this episode, we will experience and also learn about Hezekiah and his prayer. Hezekiah became King of Judah at the age of 25 and he reigned for 29 years. During this time he purified and repaired the temple in Jerusalem, reformed the priesthood, and abolished idolatry from his kingdom. He also centralized the worship of God at the temple in Jerusalem, he defeated the Philistines, and restarted the Passover pilgrimage. Unfortunately later in his life King Hezekiah became ill with a sickness of boils or inflammation, however it wasn’t until he prayed to God that the prophet Isaiah came to tell him that God heard and answered his prayer!
In this episode, we will experience and also learn about Melchizedek and his prayer. Melchizedek is often viewed as a mysterious but significant figure in the bible. The commentaries remind us that Melchizedek is both king and priest and he is connected with Jerusalem. Theologians remind us that Melchizedek is foundational for how Jesus occupies the office of king and priest. Melchizedek’s name means, my king is righteousness, he is as we will come to know, revered by Abraham who gives a tenth of all his treasure he took in battle against Chedorlaomer and the kings with him. In coming to understand, Melchizedek can be a mystery, but his life and presence is of great significance. His encounter with Abraham after battle provides divine insight on the significance of his life and presence, Melchizedek meets Abraham after his victorious battle and Melchizedek the king of Salem, which means peace and also Melchizedek the priest of the God Most High
In this episode, we will experience and also learn about Zacharias and his prayer. Zacharias was John the Baptist’s father, a priest from the division of Abijah, and him and his wife Elizabeth were childless, Elizabeth was barren and they were advanced in age. In the Holy Scriptures we come to know that they were righteous, approved in the sight of God, walking blameless in all the commandments and requirements of the Lord. We come to learn in the Holy Scriptures that Zacharias was performing his priestly duties in the temple when he encountered the angel Gabriel. This encounter left him mute because he could not believe that him and his wife who were advanced in age would conceive and have a son, as captured in scripture. After Zacharias’s service in the temple he returns home mute, his wife Elizabeth conceives in her old age and have a son, Zacharias is then enabled to speak and he prays!
In this episode, we will experience and also learn about Jacob who is a Patriarchs of our faith, a forefather. His life through the account of scripture shares with us about his birth with his twin brother Esau, the trick for Esau to sell his birthright that caused Jacob to flee for his life and temporarily live with his uncle Laban. The account of scripture also shares about Jacob’s marriage to his wives Leah and Rachel and then finally Jacob’s return to his homeland in obedience to God’s divine Instruction. Jacob’s life displays a full account of his walk and relationship with God, this helps us to appreciate and also fully embrace Jacob’s prayer for his safety and protection from his brother Esau. Jacob is a Patriarch of our faith and Jacob’s twelve sons will continue the legacy revealing the fulfillment of God’s promise, as captured in scripture, which says, I will certainly make you prosper and make your descendants as numerous as the sand of the sea!
In this episode, we will experience and also learn about Father Abraham and his prayer for Sodom and Gomorrah. Abraham is known as one of the founding fathers of the nation of Israel, and we see throughout his life and ministry how the Lord makes Abraham a divine promise, which is known as the Abrahamic Covenant. This covenant afforded by God promised Abram a great land, a great nation, a great name, and a great blessing that will extend to Abraham and to every believer. Abraham’s faith and obedience to God caused him to leave his home and travel to an unknown land where God would use him to usher in a new nation of people, the children of Israel. However, Abraham’s life and ministry leads him to intercede for the righteous, so that God would rescue his nephew Lot from the most wicked, the most godless people and cities of all times, Sodom and Gomorrah, that’s where we pick up the prayer of Father Abraham. One of the founding fathers of the children of Israel, God’s chosen people as he prays one of the most gracious, and merciful prayers found in scripture, even in the midst of unimaginable human wickedness, even in the midst of God’s anger provoked by sin which ultimately leads to God’s divine retribution!
In this episode, we will experience and also learn about Ezra and his prayer. Ezra is known as an Old Testament Scribe and Priest, he leads a group of Jewish exiles from Babylon back home to Jerusalem. Ezra stood in prayer for the people of Israel and through his prayer of confession and in his prayer of confession the need for the people’s reconciliation with God became magnified. Their sins, evil and wicked ways and their inter-marriages leads us to Ezra’s prayer. God used Ezra as Scribe and Priest to aid the people in their reconciliation with God. As we take courage in prayer Ezra reminds us through prayer that we must have a sincere diligence when praying and confessing, a sincere diligence in our penitence, weeping and laying face down before the Lord, as we seek reconciliation with God.
In this episode, we will experience and also learn about Nathanael and his prayer. Nathanael is known as one of Jesus’s disciples and Philip’s friend. Nathanael who was first skeptical first asked if anything good comes from Nazareth. Nathanael who is also called Bartholomew was characterized by Christ as an Israelite in whom there is no deceit. Thus Nathanael is known as having complete integrity, no guile, nor deceit, nor duplicity. Nathanael’s life and prayer leads us to an attribute that caused Christ to recognize Nathanael who is also called Bartholomew.
In this episode, we will experience and also learn about Habakkuk and his prayer. Habakkuk is known as a minor prophet, some say a contemporary to Jeremiah and other minor prophets in the Bible. Habakkuk’s name is Hebrew in origin and is understood to mean embrace. It’s recorded that a Rabbi in the Talmud shares that Moses gave Israel 613 commandments, David reduced them to 10, Isaiah to 2, and our precious Habakkuk to one: “the righteous shall live by faith”, Hab 2:4, this is recorded twice in the New Testament bible. So, as we reach to embrace Habakkuk’s prayer we are reminded that it must be through faith in God alone.
In this episode, we will experience and also learn about The Boy Samuel, his life as a boy and his prayer. It is known that the Boy Samuel is a gift from God because of His mother Hannah’s prayer. The Boy Samuel grew to become a major Prophet and Judge, a mighty man of God who anointed and counseled Israel’s Kings. The Boy Samuel was only 11 years old when the Lord God called him, the Lord called him as a boy when he was ministering to the Lord before Eli the High Priest of Shiloh!
In this episode, we will experience and also learn about Elizabeth and her prayer, the prayer she prays after Mary’s greeting which caused her baby, John the Baptist to leap in her womb. Elizabeth is known as the barren wife of the priest Zacharias and the mother of John the Baptist the forerunner of Jesus Christ. Elizabeth was of the daughters of Aaron, her and her husband Zacharias were deemed righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless, after being barren and miraculously becoming pregnant she remained in seclusion for five months. This is where we encounter Elizabeth and her prayer, she prays after a greeting from her cousin Mary, the Mother Jesus and the infill and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit!
In this episode, we will experience and also learn about Samson and his prayer. Samson prays a prayer that causes God to restore his supernatural strength this enables him to collapsed two middle support pillars on which the roof of the house of the Philistine Lords/Governors rested. This killed some 3, 3000 Philistine men and woman. Samson who was one of the last leaders to judge Israel, he was betrayed by Delilah. Delilah was sent by the Philistine officials, five of their Lords/Governors promised her 1100 pieces of silver each to entice Samson, persuade Samson, and find out where his great strength lies, so that they could overpower and subdue him. Samson a Nazarite to God from his mother’s womb prayed to God and one last time God restored his supernatural strength!
In this episode, we will experience and also learn about Jehoshaphat and his prayer, the prayer he prays as his vital need to seek Lord, as he proclaimed a fast for the people to seek help from the Lord because the Moabites, Ammonites, Meunites, and a great multitude from beyond the dead sea came to make war against Jehoshaphat. Jehoshaphat was a God fearing King, he lead the Kingdom of Israel, its officers, priest, and its Levites to stand in worship, praise, and prayer against their enemies!
In this episode, we will experience and also learn about Joshua and his prayer, the prayer he prays for the sun to stand still and the moon to stop, the scripture says there has never been a day like that before or after. Joshua which means, “Yahweh is deliverance” in Hebrew becomes the leader of the Israelites after Moses death, the man who was God’s under-shepherd, Moses Assistant, Moses’s young aide, Joshua the son of Nun who never left the tent of meeting, as Moses would go to speak with the Lord face to face. God’s personally appointed successor to Moses, after Moses prays in the book of Numbers. Joshua started as one of the twelve spies, one of two who brought back a good report and believed that God would help them succeed. Joshua led the Israelites to conquer Canaan and he allocated the land to the tribes. He led the children of Israel out of the wilderness into the Promised Land, a mighty man of valor and divine faith!
In this episode, we will experience and also learn about Manoah and his prayer, the prayer he prays for the birth of his son from his wife who was infertile and had no children. In this account Manoah prays after his wife has a visitation with an angel of the Lord, who tells her after being infertile and unable to have children that she would conceive a son, a son who would be born a Nazarite to God, no razor shall come upon his head and he shall begin to rescue Israel from the Philistine. This is where we encounter Manoah’s prayer to God!
In this episode, we will experience and also learn about the High Priestly Prayer, the prayer Jesus prays for His disciples. In this account Jesus prays for Himself, He prays for His disciples, and He prays for future believers, the scripture says, those whom the Lord God has given Him, those who belong to God. The Lord Jesus took time to pray and specifically He took time to pray for Himself, His disciples, and future believers. This is one of the strategic prayers we encounter from our Lord and Savior!
In this episode, we will experience and also learn about Jonah’s life and his prayer. Jonah’s story is infamous, many have heard about him in the belly of the fish. He is known as the one to take flight in the opposite direction of the great and wicked city of Ninevah. The Prophet Jonah was headed to Tarshish, because of the wickedness of the people, that has come up before the Lord, who according to Jonah were destined to receive God’s great compassion and mercies. Then Jonah was swallowed up by the great fish and he prayed!
In this episode, we will experience and also learn about Jairus’s life and prayer. Jairus’s miraculous story about his daughter’s healing is paramount. It is said that Jairus was a synagogue leader in the local area, and that many synagogue leaders had close ties with the Pharisees, who despised Jesus, but when Jairus the synagogue official came up and saw Jesus, he fell at His feet. Jairus’s precious daughter was deathly ill and at this time the crowds were mobbed around Jesus, but Jairus knew he had to make his request known, his petition came before the Lord as he knelt at Jesus’s feet. Jairus was of high stature, a synagogue official, but he was in a critical situation, there were crowds of people, but he fell at Christ’s feet to make his request known,. I believe Jairus’s faith and desperate situation led him to ask the impossible and Christ responded!

Nehemiah was sad before the King because he carried the burden for God’s people and the ruined city of Jerusalem and its gates destroyed by fire, this caused Nehemiah to pray and fast!
