Wow it’s been a while! Well after you listen to this episode it might be a bit more clear as to why we haven’t recorded a podcast in some time.
In this one we talk mostly about our new venture into musical comedy! We have been hard at work on creating a live show. It will be a collection of our jokes, skits and songs we have been creating over the years and we couldn’t be more excited about this project.

I can’t believe it took this long to get JP on the show but here we are. Joe Pane is one of our best friends and we were so happy to finally get a chance to sit down with him and hit record. We didn’t plan anything just talked and laughed and enjoyed each other’s company.

Yes it’s another show about another road trip we took SO WHAT…
We decided to mosey to the Poconosey mountains where Joe spent most of his childhood. From Perkins to slowly driving past his childhood home to Camelback Mountain, we laid the memories on as thick as a Pennsylvania pretzel. This is a re-telling of all the little things we did on this weekend getaway, with a few discussions of nostalgia (the merits of Blockbuster video and video game rentals) salt and peppa-ed along the way. You’ll hear the classic vacation struggle story: trying to win a Jewish TY Beanie Baby Lion from a claw machine in a local brewery (it doesn’t end well, oy vey!). We were also in PA during the Superb Owl, but could’ve cared less. Unless, of course, football games were just the mascots fighting, which we think is WAY more interesting. Finally, we let the journey come to a close reflecting on your childhood, memories good and bad, and how this place you once called home helped bring you to where you are today. We drove over the border to hang out with out neighbors to the north and had a grand ol’ time. In this episode we talk about our trip and the fun cool things we did (and didn’t do). Lets face it things don’t always work out and we had to learn as we went but it was quite an adventure. We celebrated Christmas this year in our new home in the Berkshires had some friends over went and looked at Christmas lights saw The Last Jedi again and ate and drank too much haha but we threw the mics on and recorded our jubilant voices for this edition of the Christmascast.

Our love of all things cartoons was the inspiration for this one. From growing up watching them to watching film festival animated shorts we mostly talk about how funny it is to think of real life as a cartoon and vice versa.
Tune in as we talk about Goofy’s attempted suicide, the mental and physical torture Jerry Mouse puts Tom Cat through, the 30’s male dominated writers room, as well as real life falling down stairs and into drum sets (in which our teeth of course become piano keys). Sooooo as you all know we went from David Tennant to David Homeowner when we moved from Denver Colorado to Southwestern Massachusetts. Well in order to do this we had to drive our van and bring all our stuff, including of course our cat Snickers. This is that story. Hey guys, what’s up? Let’s play two truths and a lie, only just kidding…they’re all TRUTHS. We talk about our recent trip through South Dakota and Wyoming which showed us the beautiful, the hidden and sometimes tragic part of what is still the Wild West (wikky wikky wild). We fell into a time warp and found a rare and ancient sighting of what was once the mighty Blockbuster, roamed the Black Hills through caves, swam among the palest people of the Midwest and stumbled upon why black lights should not exist. We really had an amazing time and of course have some unreasonable jokes to show for it.
We’ve missed you beautiful people, and we come bearing gifts of comedy! This is another edition of All the Jokes where we try a variety of joke ideas we’ve been working on and set them free like a wily pack’a badgers. Howdy ho, folks! This week we have something special for you, part one of a TWO PART podcast! We had so many jokes and topics that we had to banana split it up. Matt Pane, one of our oldest and best friends from New York came to stay with us so we all could see Primus at Red Rocks (you only see your first Primus show once). More importantly, he sat down with us to talk about how the Joe James-Matt Pane 6 month difference came into fruition, when Grace met Matt during a wrestling match in an in-ground/above ground pool, awkward elevator moments in Vegas, the Hulk’s Bruce Banner sized dick, a brief detailing of the increds Primus show, and all of us ingesting stabby cheesy bread. So, pour yourself a glass of rum in honor of Matt Pane (he’s fine, he just likes rum) and get in on some of these inside jokes.
Hello ladies and gentlemen! This week we had the great pleasure of sitting down with Andy Schneider, frontman of Denver band Calder’s Revolvers (now The Gold Company). He’s a Denver native and has a lot of love for the Mile High city. We talk a little bit about his beginnings in music, ranging from jamming out with his dad’s band at home, jazz-themed summer camps and moonlighting in punk and ska bands. We crack jokes about less sad rock and more dad rock, fecal themed bands, and platform flip flop Jersey girls. Today, Calder’s is his full-time project, with a recent stint at SXSW and a nomination in Westword’s Music Showcase, along with a variety of local shows keeping this awesome band going full force.
Well ‘ello there! This week we covered a few new jokes, including, but not limited to: Pattie Boyd licking George Harrison’s teeth, a multi-holiday version of “Mambo #5,” how to get Beetlejuice to go away, severely misinterpreting the lyrics to late-nineties Santana songs, two foot tall Paul Simon (Small Simon) and Sir Paul McCartney not knowing the lyrics to his half a century old songs.
We should mention that after the recording of this podcast we realized that we were sorely incorrect in the telling of the Harrison-Clapton-Boyd love triangle, so don’t fact check us on that. Still, we like our re-telling a little bit better.
This week we had the pleasure of sitting down with another local Denver comedian! This time it was the lovely Mara Wiles. She was a delight to talk to and just a great funny gal. We got to talk all about getting started in the Denver scene and who inspired her. She told us about a terrible show at a cattle dog rescue in a strip mall winery, some of her favorite jokes by fellow local comedian Aaron Urist and we read some one star reviews of Red Rocks. Lots of real talk and nice conversation worth a listen. So try it on for size!

Hi guys! In this podcast we talk about some of the awesome and not-so-awesome things that have been going on in our lives lately. One awesome thing being Grace having moved to Denver via an amazing road trip together one year ago. We saw over 2,000 miles of America and we tell you a little about that; including being rejected by Wayne Coyne’s Womb and falling into the streets of Nashville laughing about Jeff Mangum and Anne Frank. We also touch upon a few hard times we’ve been having due to real life and the like, but this is life, so you have to learn to laugh about it.
Dear family and friends back in the Newest of Yorks this episode is for you. In it we reflect back on our trip to the island of long where we got to spend some quality time with some great people.
We also talk about weird and funny things we saw, ramble on about stupid internet videos and pretty much all the usual stuff. Today’s episode was a blast we had our buddy Andrew Kobil of Hi-Fi Gentry fame on the show and we had tons of laughs.
Music was the topic of the show, terrible music to be precise…We talked about terrible bands and songs and ideas for songs and all the messed up joke songs we could conjure up in our sick heads.
We learned a bit about Andrew and his music he even performed an acoustic version of his song Bold and Blue for the show which can be heard at the end.
