Hello beautiful people! I hope you guys are doing good. I'm so excited to share with you my very first cover of the song, "Bohemian Rhapsody". I admit, I never liked this song but as I added my years as an adult, I appreciate the music more, regardless of its genre. If you notice, this song contain notes which require voice transposition, from the low to high notes. It's not easy and so I did a lot of practice . I tried to make my voice to sound harsh rock, since my voice is used to sing soft music. I listened carefully the half notes but I guess I didn't really did a great job on this. 😉 But yeah, I enjoyed learning this song a lot.

Hey Folks! It's me again, Gen. I would like to share my song cover, "Nothing's Gonna Change My Love For You", sang by George Benson. This song is filled with emotions that always made my day whenever I listen to it. It reminds me of how love conquers the imperfection of life. Love is can't be touched nor measure by any material things. It doesn't have price. It is a feeling, given by someone to whom he/she admire. My favorite line in this song is this: "If the ahead is not so easy, our love will lead a way for us." This line reminds me of my parents who've been married for around 35 years. When I was younger and still living with my parents, I saw how my parents fight, but at the end of the day, they still ended up sleeping each other. I believe that love is not just a feeling but a commitment that couple should commit to make their relationship last.

Live Music for Hive Open Mic Week 89: "Palabre Santa"
This is one of the challenging song that I sang on stage when I was younger. I learned this song throwback 2013 when I joined a political campaign in my hometown, Balangiga. Everytime we visit a village, I always sing this as an opening prayer. It's kind of overwhelming when everyone are silent and all they can hear is my singing and I am really a shy-type but I want to be out of my box so I have to do it. 😁

My name is Genemae and I am from the Philippines. I came from the beautiful island/province of Samar and moved in Manila last 2020, to look for a job and to start living independently. Right now, I work as a receptionist in a private company here in Manila. I’m glad that despite of the lockdowns, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the operation of the company didn’t stopped, otherwise, I will be staying in my apartment, jobless, and might end up going back to the province. I hope soon, the pandemic will be over or atleast the people will learn how to live with it, so everyone can live with their social life like it was before.
