Dr. Ryan Vandrey from Johns Hopkins University joins this episode of The CannaPod.
Dr. Vandrey is a professor in the School of Medicine's Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and a member of the university's Cannabis Science Lab. Dr. Vandrey’s research focuses primarily on the impact of route of administration, dose, and chemical composition of cannabis products on resultant drug effects and pharmacokinetics. In addition, Dr. Vandrey has been involved with a broad range of studies related to the risks and benefits of medicinal cannabis use, the effects of cannabis use on sleep, cannabis withdrawal and the treatment of Cannabis Use Disorder, cannabis product testing, and developing measures of cannabis use behavior.
Dr. Matthew Feldner is Canopy Growth's Senior Director of Psychological Well-being. Previously, he spent 14 years as a professor at the University of Arkansas and nine years as an Adjunct Professor with the Laureate Institute for Brain Research.
In this episode, Dr. Feldner joins Marcel and Erica to discuss the role of cannabis in helping to treat anxiety based on developing research and speaks to the opportunity for further exploration on how cannabinoids can be helpful for people with anxiety.

Dr. Jahan Marcu is the Chief Operations Officer, Director of Experimental Pharmacology and Behavioral Research at International Research Center on Cannabis and Health, which he co-founded.
This week, he joins The CannaPod and shares his story, from starting with patient access and discovering the need for objective data to publishing the first direct measurements of THC and CBD synergy, for which he received the Billy Martin research award from the International Cannabinoid Research Society, and ultimately co-founding the International Research Center on Cannabis and Health.
