This is Director's Diary, a show where each episode I look through a director's history, telling their story. Where they came from, how they cut their teeth in the industry, and how their most famous movies were brought to life.
This week’s episode is about one of personal favourite directors, John Carpenter. Known as the “Master of Horror,” Carpenter was behind some of the most iconic horror movies and franchises of all time. But because there is so much to cover, this is Part 1 of 3, looking at just his early works, from birth to the end of the 1970s.
