In episode 9 of Tigers Untapped, TJ and Trey discuss the week of Tiger basketball that found them going 1-1 with a gut-wrenching loss to UCF and pulling out a buzzer beater win against Temple a few days later. The Tigers stand at 13-5 on the year, 3-2 in the AAC and are facing off against Wichita State and Cincinnatti this week.

Welcome to Tigers Untapped.
In the first segment, TJ and Trey discuss the Tigers' non-conference schedule, specifically on the play of the Tigers during the SEC gauntlet where they went 4-1. They discuss the emergence of Johnathan Lawson and Damaria Franklin during the last few games, and how their play can impact the Tigers the rest of the way. Johnathan, in limited minutes, has shown an ability to shoot the three point shot at an extremely effective rate. His consistency from distance will give the Tigers a much needed boost in that area during conference play. Trey highlights the fact that the Tigers are not underdogs in any game until February 19 against Houston. TJ and Trey speak on how confident they are in the idea that the Tigers could go that deep into February without another loss.
In the second segment TJ and Trey give their preview of the Tiger football team's matchup against Utah State in the First Responder's Bowl in Dallas, Texas. TJ gives his score prediction of 45-24 Memphis and Trey predicts a score of 38-24, Tigers.

In the first segment, TJ and Trey discuss the Tigers' big win over Auburn. The guys discuss their takeaways from the game and the impact Kendric Davis had on the game. Kendric Davis scored 27 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists. TJ and Trey discuss the trajectory of the Tiger team as they finish out the SEC portion of their 2022 schedule. Trey breaks down the issues he has with net rankings and how a win over Little Rock hurts the Tigers more than a win over Auburn helps them. The guys discuss how important it is for the Tigers to win in convincing fashion against teams they are supposed to beat handily.
In the second segment TJ and Trey discuss the recent rash of commitments the Tiger football team is receiving. In the last week the Tigers have received commitments from ETSU linebacker transfer, Chandler Martin, and Juno transfer defensive tackle, Derick Hunter. TJ breaks down the skills of both players and how their presence in the Tiger locker room will impact the schemes of Matt Barnes and the Tiger defense.

TJ makes his return to the show after a week in the North Star State.
TJ and Trey start off the show discussing the end of the regular season for the Tiger football team. After a torrid start to the season, the Tigers lost 5 of their last 7 games to end the year. Most of these losses were either one possession or last possession losses. In fact, the Tigers could have been 10-2 on the season if they had won their one possession games instead of losing them. The guys then talk about the Tigers' 2023 recruiting class, and the success that Ryan Silverfield and his staff is having in that arena. The Tigers have secured big time commitments from high school and are active in the transfer portal.
In the second segment, TJ and Trey transition to Tiger basketball and the upcoming gauntlet of SEC opponents they will face off against. They discuss the recent shooting slump that Kendric Davis is experiencing for the Tigers. They are not concerned by his slump because of the impact his presence on the court has for the team as a whole.
To end the show, TJ and Trey give their predictions on Memphis versus Auburn and Alabama and who they believe will need to step up to help the Tigers in these Quad One games.

Trey is joined by lead digital content creator Kenny Stubblefield in this episode. We pour one out for TJ as he is galavanting around Minnesota taking in all the sights and sounds in that beautiful state.
In the first segment, Trey and Kenny discuss the disappointing result of the Tigers' regular season ending game against SMU this past Saturday. Trey describes his feelings as he watched the final drive. Trey and Kenny discuss the overall Tigers' regular season and how disappointing it has been due to minor mistakes that have cost the Tigers wins.
Trey shares his thoughts on the transfer portal during the offseason and what position groups the Tigers' coaching staff will target. Trey and Kenny also talk about the breaking news over at Bluff City NIL that tight end Caden Prieskorn will be coming back to Memphis alongside starting quarterback Seth Henigan and head coach Ryan Silverfield. Trey shares his thoughts on how important it is that two of the mainstays on offense have decided to come back and what that says about their commitment to the Tigers and to Ryan Silverfield.
In the second segment, Kenny and Trey discuss the ESPN Events Invitational Tournament in Orlando. Both guys feel comfortable with what the Tigers' basketball team showed during that tournament and the prospects of success as they move forward in the season. The guys break down this week's home games against North Alabama and Ole Miss. They end the show highlighting a major difference between last year's team and this year's team and why Trey can comfortably say that this Tigers team is playing better, at this point in the season, than any of Penny's last 4 teams.
Welcome to Tigers Untapped Episode 2. In this episode, TJ and Trey are joined by former Tiger basketball player, Will Coleman. Will, TJ and Trey break down the Tigers' performances against St. Louis University and their home opener against VCU. The Tigers are 2-1 on the season so far and after giving up an obscene 90 points against SLU came out against VCU and shut them down. Memphis beat VCU 62-47, holding VCU to a paltry 29% shooting from the field. The guys discuss how the Tigers' athleticism and defense will keep every game close, but they discussed the need for a proven third scorer behind All-American Kendric Davis and senior Deandre Williams will be vital to the Tigers winning the challenging matchups they have coming up in December. Will highlights the talents of redshirt freshman Johnathan Lawson and shares how he fully expects Johnathan to be a force for the second unit coming off the bench this year. The guys discuss the role that Johnathan should play, either as a ball dominant point guard or a catch and shoot wing player. Will makes a comparison to a former Tiger great as he describes Johnathan's game. In the final segment, Trey and TJ discuss the Memphis Tiger football team's win over the University of North Alabama, and the upcoming matchup against SMU to close out the season. The Tiger defense has developed into a formidable group over this season under first year defensive coordinator Matt Barnes, but they will go up against a potent offense in SMU led by quarterback Tanner Mordechai and star receiver Rashee Rice.
