Soul Talk is a space we’ve created for you to come hang and have fun! Our hope and purpose behind starting this podcast is to create a down-to-earth community of sisters to do life with. Soul talk is all about connecting, encouraging, and sharpening one another to live a more intentional life, all while laughing and navigating the rhythm of life as we know it. Your soul is a garden meant to be watered, nurtured, pruned, and tended to. The beauty of the bloom is well worth the soul work it takes to reap it. We're here to do this together. :)
The Freedom of Living Pure
We are so thankful for this Soul Talk today to spend time talking about the ways that Jesus calls us to Himself- to walk in purity and righteousness. It is only through Him, that we are changed and made new from the inside out. Our hope for today is to remind us all of the truth and the freedom that we have in Christ.
Galatians 5:19-21
"Now the works of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, moral impurity, promiscuity, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambitions, dissensions, factions, envy, drunkenness, carousing, and anything similar. I tell you about these things in advance, as I told you before, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God."
Titus 3:3-7
"For we too were once foolish, disobedient, deceived, enslaved by various passions and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, detesting one another.
But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love
for mankind appeared,
He saved us—
not by works of righteousness that we had done,
but according to His mercy,
through the washing of regeneration
and renewal by the Holy Spirit.
He poured out this Spirit on us abundantly
through Jesus Christ our Savior,
so that having been justified by His grace,
we may become heirs with the hope of eternal life."
Thank you so much for being a part of Soul Talk and for being a part of this beautiful growing community! If you feel led, please leave a review or share this with somebody who you think would really love to hear more about this topic.
The Power of Stewardship
What you do with the little in your life will help you realize if you’re ready to steward much. Luke 16:10 reminds us that if God trust you with little, He will trust you with much. We want this to encourage us to be grateful for what God is doing in our lives and inspire us to be great stewards of whatever that looks like in your life. Sometimes God wants to use our seasons to teach us something, so if you’re in a season you’re ready to move on from take the moment to realize God might not be finished with you yet. If we haven’t proven ourselves to be trustworthy of the current blessings he’s given us by showing up with integrity, compassion, and a heart that incorporates His love within these seasons, then we are not ready to steward something more. Ask yourself some questions today! Where does God have you right now? Have you been stewarding it well? Are you giving glory to God? Are you being obedient? Are you being a blessing to others?
I guarantee you, all of us have been given a role that’s significant
Throughout the Bible, there are countless references to the unending love, faithfulness, and reliable word of God. The Bible consistently reinforces the truth that God's love and faithfulness are infinite, and that becomes more real when we are walking in a genuine relationship with Him getting to experience this for ourselves! Along with His transforming love, God's eternal promises are also a consistent theme throughout the Bible.
Psalm 93:5 says, “Lord, your testimonies are reliable. Holiness is the beauty of your house for all the days to come.”
We discuss the importance of renewing our mind on the kingdom to come! As we look through different Psalms & read some selected scripture through Romans, these verse reminds us that God's word can be trusted completely, providing us with guidance and protection.
Overall, the Bible provides a rich and complex portrait of God's unending love, faithfulness, and reliable word. By studying these themes throughout scripture, we can deepen our understanding of God's character and grow in our faith together
In this Soul Talk, we are chatting all about summer goals and intentions and how we can align with God's vision for us even more! If God cares about our health and well-being, how much more should we care about those things? As we are building this community, we want to live life to the fullest, so we are excited to share some of our personal goals and also go into how some of these inspirations have come out of challenging moments. We want to hold each other accountable to what we say we want to do and what it is God's calling us to. This could look like committing yourself to moving your body or it could even look like stepping back and taking this summer to heal. Whatever that looks like for you, ask the Holy Spirit to reveal His plans for you this season and we are here cheering you on every step of the way!
Soul Scripture: Psalm 16:11
"You reveal the path of life to me; in Your presence is abundant joy; in Your right hand are eternal pleasures."
Ask yourself these questions & we encourage you to have a Soul Talk with someone around you!
What is your summer goal?
What is something you want to see change?
What is something you want to walk healthier in?

On today's Soul Talk we check in with our hearts as we have an in depth conversation about Matthew 22. This is when Jesus is sharing with his disciples, which now includes us, the greatest commandments and it's the very thing that leads us to life and life more abundantly. Join us in this episode and don't forget to let us know how this lands on your heart and what God is speaking to you!
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. Matthew 22:37-39As you are listening to today's episode ask yourself these questions:
What am I giving my heart and my affections to?
What does it look like to give God all of our heart?
Are you giving the Lord daily devotion and time?
Soul Prayer:
Lord, we ask that you awaken our hearts. Lord, we ask you to inform our heart and to shepherd our heart, and to have our heart completely as your own.
Lord, we ask that you would touch our minds, Lord, that you would free our minds, that you would fill our minds, you would nurture our minds, and that you would just renew our minds. We ask that you would protect our minds.
Lord, we thank you for being the keeper of our soul and that everything that we are is completely a gift and a grace from your power and your work in us.
We lift up our mind, our heart, and our soul, God, and we just ask that you do what only you can do in our lives. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to make this prayer your own and to give your heart, mind, and soul who the One who loves you the most.
Identity Series Part 3:
On this next episode we're going to discuss how to live confidently in our God given identities. We're going to look through scriptures where Jesus shows us how to live confidently in Him, but we're also going to share some personal stories of what that has looked like in our own lives! We want to encourage each of you to live with that same freedom and that same confidence that we have found, and truly, that only comes through Christ. That's what this whole series is all about, it's pointing us back to Jesus! It's pointing us back to the truth. And sometimes we get distracted, which is so easy to do, but today we hope you walk away feeling encouraged and aligned back to the truth.
Soul Scripture Psalms 1:3
“That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season, and whose leaf does not wither, whatever they do prospers.”
Welcome back to the second part of our series on finding your identity in Christ! In this episode, we cover some of the challenges that we face when we place our identity in things other than God. We explore some of the thieves including relationships, performance, and materialism and how they can rob us of the identity that God has spoken over each of us. But fear not, because we have the ultimate weapon against these identity thieves: God's word. By turning to the unchanging truths found in scripture, we can reclaim our true identity and live the life that God intended for us. It doesn't matter what anyone has called you or even what you've called yourself, because there's only one who has the authority to tell you who you are. And that's God himself. Join the conversation as we uncover ways to combat the enemy and find our identity in Christ!
Soul Scripture:
Matthew 16:24-25:
"Then Jesus said to his disciples, whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for me will find it."
We are excited to start this new series where we explore the depths of the identity that God has for each and every one of us.
Throughout the ages, people have searched for meaning and purpose in their lives. Some have found it in their careers, relationships, or possessions, however, these things can only provide temporary satisfaction, and often leave us feeling empty and unfulfilled.
As believers, we know that our true purpose in life is to serve God and to live out His plan for our lives. But how do we discover what that plan is? How do we discern our individual identity in Christ? That's where the scriptures come in.
In the Bible, we see so many examples of individuals who discovered their unique identity and purpose by seeking God and His will for their lives. Moses, for example, was called to lead the Israelites out of Egypt, despite his initial reluctance and insecurity. (Exodus 2) These examples remind us that God has a specific purpose for each of our lives, and that we can only discover it by seeking Him and His will for us. When we live submitted to the identity that God has for us, that is where we find our true purpose and fulfillment.
Throughout this episode, we will dive deeper into the scriptures and explore how they can help us see who God has called us to be. We will discuss practical ways to live out our identity in Christ including walking out these three steps: Awareness, Acceptance & Action
Soul Scripture: Ephesians 1:4-5
"For He chose us in Him, before the foundation of the world, to be holy and blameless in His sight. In love, He predestined us to be adopted through Jesus Christ for Himself, according to His favor and will to the praise of His glorious grace that He favored us with in the Beloved."
In Today's Q&A, we spend time asking each other a mix of questions with the hope of you getting to know us even better! We want to stay connected with each of you, so please leave us feedback of what you would love to know more about! Thank you so much for listening and we can't wait to begin the next series of Soul Talk, stay tuned!
Soul Scripture:
Matthew 11:28-29 Come to Me, all of you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest. All of you, take up My yoke and learn from Me, because I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for yourselves. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."

We love the idea of your soul being like a garden, something that needs to be tended to and nurtured. In today’s episode, we hope to paint that picture of what your garden could look like with the care of the Holy Spirit and with your intentionality. The specific topics we discuss today is how to tend to your heart, the people in your life, and the areas that God has placed you in. Our hope is that as we look into how to take care of these areas of our “garden” better, we will ultimately see the fruit and the beautiful flourishing in our lives.
Scripture to write on your heart:
Proverbs 4:23:
“Guard your heart above all else for it is the source of life.”
Psalms 51:10:
“Create in me a pure heart, Oh God, and renew a steadfast spirit in me”
Romans 12:2:
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is, his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
Proverbs 11:14:
“Without guidance, people fall, but with many counselors, there is deliverance.”
We all experience fear in one way or another in our day to day life and we feel led to share about overcoming fear and walking in the purpose that God has. As we look into a moment between Jesus and Peter in Matthew 14:24-33, we gain insight about stepping out into the unknown and truly trusting that God has us in His hands. We hope that through today's episode, your heart can rest in the truth that God loves you and has beautiful plans for your life.
A quote from Max Lucado: "Fear doesn't want you to make the journey to the mountain because if fear could rattle you enough, fear will persuade you to take your eyes off of the peaks and settle for the dull existence in the flat lands and be okay with that."
We want each of you to reach the "mountain top" moments with the Lord and fear can so easily hold us back from saying yes to God's invitation, we want to encourage and urge you to step out of the boat and put your trust in Him who is trustworthy.
Soul Scripture: Psalm 56:3 "When I am afraid, I put my trust in you"
As Matthew 5:16 says, "You are the light of the world. A city situated on a hill cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and puts it under a basket, but rather on a lampstand and it gives light for all who are in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in Heaven"
This week we discuss the beautiful and unique ways God calls us to "Get up and Shine" in the lives, job positions, and divine circumstances we find ourselves in. What a gift we have and get to share with those around us! In this episode, we will discuss Matthew 5:16 and 1 Corinthians 9:19-23 to get a better idea of what it means to be a light in this world.
God has invited all of us to "Get up and Shine" in our daily lives wherever He has placed us. We pray this blesses you, and encourages you to step out and share the light that God has given you! The beautiful thing is when we live this out, it points back to Jesus, giving Him all the glory. What a sweet thought it is that God would choose us to love, encourage, and bring a glimpse of heaven into the lives of those around us. We hope you enjoy another Soul Talk!

Today's episode, we will dive into the beauty and power of prayer and how it has an impact in our everyday lives. We want to live intentional with our souls and a way to live this out is through a life of prayer. John 15:5 "I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever remains in me and I in him will bear much fruit, because without me you can do nothing." Prayer looks like remaining connected to the vine, which is Jesus, and truly trusting that He is faithful to lead and guide us through life as we know it. We were not created to do this life alone, so talk to Him today, cast all of your cares at His feet and also reach out if you find yourself needing prayer from your Soul Sisters. We can't wait to here from you!
