Sharing my thoughts, approaches and methods in training with you. I encourage all to listen and learn, even if you don't always entirely agree with me. In fact I look forward to learning from you as we grow in opinions together! Our AKF Lexington Martial Arts Family is strong because of life lessons and leadership skills being forefront in out education system.
What is the difference between perseverance and indomitable-Spirit? How do we help with them both, here at AKF Lexington Martial Arts?

Do you have an opinion? You should have one and you should be surrounded by people who respect you and the fact that you have an opinion!
We do not need to agree to be cordial. We do not have to agree to co-exist. We should be allowed to have opinions and be allowed to express them.
Yes Freedom of Speech exists, and you should use it! No, not everything that you want to say, you should! If you say something that others do not agree with you should be okay with them voicing their disagreement. Say something evil or damaging, you should be ready for consequences. Having consequences for what you say is not the same as stopping you from saying it. At least that is my opinion.
Curious what yours will be!

Learning what is expected and doing it before you are told. Sounds easy...it's not, but it is far from impossible. Demonstrate what is expected, explain what is expected, correct and repeat. The repetition and perseverance of instructors, teachers and parents is the most important part of the process. Never give up! Repeat, repeat and repeat.....it pays off.

The contest I mention at the start of this is for my YouTube followers as I produced this episode in both locations. Check it out if you want in.
Talking about FOCUS in this episode. How to martial arts classes help with focus. How do we help you both in class with us, at home listening and focusing to our families and even at school?
Let's discuss!

Martial Arts classes have a reputation of creating respect in students. Is this true and if so how is that accomplished?
Cobra Kai or Myagi-Do style approaches are not exactly the norm. You need to learn about the martial arts academy you plan to attend and make sure their culture on respect and how to earn it fit yours.
This episode will help you understand our approach here at AKF Lexington Martial Arts.
