I decided to do a review on this book "It's Perfectly Normal" because of what I've seen going on in today's education system. I came across this book after seeing reverend John Amanchukwu speak up against it at the Asheville City School Board of Education. The book takes a playful tone on sexuality, making it seem like it's appropriate for children to read when in reality it's not. It's oversexualization of children.
Enough is enough. Talking about sexuality at a young age, encouraging kids and teens to self-destruct via gender transitioning surgeries is not and will NEVER be okay. The consequences of this movement is immense. It confuses children and destroys the family unit - one of the most important pillars of society.
I ask you to please listen to this podcast, inform yourself, and make your own judgment. Know what is in your children's libraries, know what is being taught in schools, and have the courage to speak up against it. It's the only thing that will save our children and the direction our society is headed in.

I decided to do an episode on envy because I have had experiences with envy, and I hate the way it feels. I’ve felt envy when I see someone with a “better body” than mine, when someone close to me makes more money than I do, and when someone’s podcast or blog seems to be more developed than mine.
This list can go on and on, but the point I want to make is that I wanted to do the research on envy and like always, take a deep dive within myself and understand why I feel envy.
I’ve learned that if someone seems to be doing slightly better than me in the areas that I value, I start to feel envy.
But envy comes from a place of insecurity. It comes from a place of comparison. It comes from a place that thinks there’s only room for me in the world, when in reality there’s room for everyone. So, we’re figuring this out together, and I hope after you listen to this episode you have a better understanding of your envy, where it comes from, and how you can redirect it for a greater good.
Show Notes:
Why We Feel Envy:
You are insecure and you take part in comparing yourself to others. Your insecurity makes you feel inferior to others.
Your early unmet childhood needs make you feel not good enough.
Your competitive edge makes you think there is only room for you in the world.
How we can address envy?
Normalize your envy and validate it to decrease shame and guilt.
Relate envy to positive values.
Focus on turning envy into admiration and emulation.
Accept that life is sometimes unfair.

This episode is about discipline and what I’ve done to help me be more disciplined in my life. Being disciplined is not always easy, especially when we get in our own way. I hope this episode motivates you to get out of your own way and gain the discipline that you need to achieve your next goal.
This episode is about your emotional home which are the feelings that you resort to when you undergo a stressful event. My hope with this episode is that you learn to recognize what your emotional home is, and acknowledge that you are not those feelings and they are merely behaviors you’ve learned over time. We all have the ability to change our emotional homes. It just takes practice ❤️
In this episode, I talk about the 8 signs that someone feels threatened by you. This episode is tailored towards women because unfortunately, I've noticed that women are usually the ones that feel threatened by each other. I also talk about an experience I had at a job with a boss of mine that showed me they were threatened.
Feeling threatened comes from a place of insecurity, and I hope that with this episode, you are able to recognize that within yourself and maybe within others, but most importantly, within yourself because you can't change other people. If you have ever felt threatened by anyone, I hope this episode inspires you to work on your confidence and insecurities because you should realize how amazing you are and how no one can take that away from you.
Thank you for listening.
With love <3,
Paola
In this episode I talk about dopamine which is the neurotransmitter associated with movement, memory, pleasurable reward and motivation, behavior, attention, sleep, and mood, amongst other things. I discuss my findings from several scientific articles on the negative effects that things like social media and alcohol have on our dopamine levels. I also talk about ways that we can raise our dopamine in healthy ways that can leave us feeling satisfied. Overall, adequate levels of dopamine will leave you feeling happy, motivated, alert, and focused, and I believe that when you are aware how your daily behaviors can affect how we release chemicals in our brain we will be more reluctant to engage in harmful behaviors and start to engage in healthier behaviors.
