Todays episode is a goodie!! We chat all about homebirth with Rosie Parton (AKA the Rosie doula on the Sunshine Coast) she has 4 beautiful kids and all were born at home so she chat's in depth how she navigated her way through the homebirth steps.
Her first 2 children were homebirths with a midwife in attendance and the other 2 were freebirths with no medical personnel. This episode is specifically going through her 1st birth - Reuben and her 2nd birth- Levi. Next weeks episode will be all about her freebirths.
This episode touches on: Home birthing , Building connecting with your baby rather than having it straight away, painful birthing, hypnobirthing, informed decision making, researching different birthing options, pelvic congestion syndrome, changing care providers late in pregnancy, having an oversupply and donations of breastmilk.

Today's episode is all about Hannah's birth story with her little boy. Hannah chats to us about her journey through pregnancy, birth and postpartum. Her little boy had shoulder dystocia during the birth and he then had to be sent straight to NICU due to breathing problems. She then chats about the hard postpartum journey she went through.
This episode touches on: Induction- balloon catheter & drip, continuity of care, calm birth course, gestational diabetics, walking epidural, meconium, shoulder dystocia newborn resuscitation, hemorrhage, colostrum harvesting, advocacy in NICU, newborn breathing tube and pelvic floor issues.
Hannah is now the owner of "Adaptive women's allied health" in Sunshine Coast. They specialize in women's physiology (postpartum health such as pelvic health and more)

Todays episode is all about Pru's birth story with her little girl Dior love. She chats to us about her ectopic turned heterotopic pregnancy and the high anxiety levels that came with that.
This episode touches on: Ectopic & heterotopic pregnancy, induction, anxiety in pregnancy, being high risk in the medical system and C-section.
Heterotopic pregnancy is something that isn't common knowledge to many people so that's why I think it's so important to share Pru's story!

Todays episode is all about Sammy's birth story with her little girl Memphis. She tells us what happened in the lead up to her emergency c-section and then goes through how she navigated the mourning of a vaginal birth through guilt. This is a very important message to all belly birth mummas out there- it is OKAY to mourn the vaginal birth you never had.
This episode touches on: Induction, epidural (spinal leak headache) meconium in the waters, 'Failure to progress', infection.
