On today’s For Life and Godliness show, Drew discusses the beautiful truth that no one is beyond the reach of Christ’s redeeming love. Many are hesitant to come to Christ for fear of not being good enough or thinking their sin is too great to be forgiven. Yet, we want to encourage you to grab your Bible and follow along as Drew shows you from Scripture that Christ came to call the sinners, and to justify them.

If you are like me, you cannot remember a time when you were not making a New Year’s Resolution at the beginning of each new year. However, did you ever stop to think about why you were making such resolutions? Did you ever consider your own motivation behind it? It would seem that most do not. In this episode of For Life and Godliness, we are going to look at and consider the way Christians should make and approach resolutions. And since we are dealing with resolutions, it would be a disservice to you the listener not to discuss Jonathan Edwards and his 70 Resolutions. We hope and pray that this episode will encourage you to bring a new attitude and resolve when considering making New Year’s Resolutions.

The Christian walk is one that can only be done through obedience by the power of the Holy Spirit. It is not an easy one and to be honest, we fail daily. Part of our failure is due to ignorance. We believe ourselves to be in the right relationship with God due to negligent teaching from the pulpit. The other part is due to our lack of love to the God who first loved us. We may have accumulated knowledge and equate that with loving God. However, knowledge of someone is not the same as love to that person. In fact, our pursuit of knowledge for knowledge’s sake can become an idol. We must this day choose whom we will serve; ourselves or God.
I want to invite you to join me as we look at scripture and other Christian works to see how we can apply them to our daily lives in devotion to Christ. In this launch episode, you will get to know me, my journey through theology, and how I arrived at the Reformed position. As well as the purpose of this podcast. It is my hope that this podcast will be edifying to you.
