Here’s the truth....Big changes don’t come from big actions. They come from the small, consistent things you do every day. It’s called the power of marginal gains and whilst that might sound a whole lot less exciting, it’s a game-changer if you want to achieve your goals this year.Marginal gains come from making small, incremental improvements in various areas of your life. While each change might seem insignificant on its own, the compound effect is what gives you the big changes you're looking for.All you need to do is choose one area you want to improve and pick a habit that aligns with your values and goals. Now set a tiny goal - make it the smallest actionable step you can make it. Track your progress whether that's on an app or in a journal. And celebrate your wins because the goal is consistency not perfection.Studies show that about 40% of our daily actions are driven by habits, not conscious decisions. This could be your missing piece of the puzzle and why you haven't achieved your goals in the past. So shall we change that?Let the class begin.Powered by DiD Media.
Let's ditch the new year, new me narrative. And instead let me take you through the tools you need to not just start your year strong but to really set yourself up for success, whatever that means to you.In episode 1, I'm sharing why the words you speak to yourself will always be the most important words you'll ever speak. And if you're being nonchalant about this, it's going to stop you achieving what you really want this year. The key points? Identify your most unhelpful story and change it. Go easy on yourself and stop trying to eliminate the negative thoughts, just learn the tools to navigate it. And stay tuned until the end where I'm sharing this week's challenge so you can re-write your story and achieve the goals you've created this year. It's time to step into a more confident and resilient version of you. Let me know how you get on this week.Powered by DiD Media.
Most people talk about values, but few actually live by them.Think about it—how many times have you written down a value like ‘honesty’ or ‘kindness,’ only to make decisions that don’t align with it? If that hit a nerve, then this week's challenge might be for you.Today, we’re not just talking about values; we’re diving into how to define, live, and make decisions based on them. By the end, you’ll know how to use your values as a compass to set powerful intentions for 2025.Your values are the foundation of who you are and how you navigate the world. They’re not just words on a page; they’re the principles that guide your actions and decisions. They help you stay grounded during tough decisions. They bring clarity when life feels overwhelming. They ensure you’re living authentically, not just reacting to external pressureWhen you define them and live by them, decision-making becomes clearer and life feels more aligned. This week, take the time to uncover what truly matters to you and set intentions that honor those values. Are you ready for challenge no.2?Let the class begin.Powered by DiD Media.
Most people dream too small. They set safe, achievable goals because they’re afraid to fail. But here’s the thing: the only way to create the life you truly want is to dream so big it scares you. It's the final week of The Playbook Challenge and today we're talking how to dream big, visualize your ideal life and develop the mindset to make it happen in 2025. This is your four-part series designed to set you up for success in 2025.Big dreams fuel motivation and give life purpose. When you allow yourself to dream beyond what feels possible, you tap into creativity, resilience, and potential you didn’t know you had.According to a study by Dr. Gail Matthews, people who vividly describe their goals are 1.4 times more likely to achieve them than those who don’t. Visualization works. And I share why you need an abundant mindset to make your dreams come true. It's the belief that there’s enough success, resources and opportunities for everyone. It shifts your focus from scarcity (“I can’t”) to possibility (“I can”).If you’ve been following along with The Playbook Challenge, I’d love to hear what you've loved & learnt. Drop a comment below and let me know your biggest takeaway from this series. And if you found this helpful, don’t forget to like, subscribe and share this with someone who needs to hear it. In this episode, we’re switching things up and Louis takes the driving seat as today's podcast host. Together, we break down the concept of "marriage meetings," diving into why we started doing them, what we include in our meetings, and how they’ve helped us stay connected. Whether it’s discussing goals, checking in on each other’s feelings, or making plans for the future, these meetings have become a key part of how we navigate life as a team.We also share practical tips on how to start your own meetings whether that's family ones or relationships ones and share insights from friends who do this too. If you’re curious about a simple but effective way to stay on the same page with your partner, this episode has you covered.
In today's episode we're taking a deep dive into how we communicate, love and fight. You've heard us talk about the differences in our styles on social media but you'll hear how this plays out in our day to day life and the lessons we've learnt along the way. And yes we're getting real about how we fight too. It’s an open conversation about how we've learned to understand each other better, even when we don’t always speak the same language (literally!). We share our dynamics that shape our relationship, sharing both the moments we love and the ones that'll make you cringe. If you’ve wondered how to navigate the ups and downs of communicating in a relationship, this episode will give you a few insights—or at least make you feel like you’re not alone on the journey.
In this episode, Louis Q is back for part 2. We’re sharing the story of how we met (spoiler: no dating apps were involved) and reflecting on some of the healing we both had to do before we had even met. For me it was working through trust issues and for Louis this centred around processing loss. It’s an honest conversation about how those experiences shaped our relationship from the start and how we lean into hard conversation in our relationship today. We also take a look at some of the dating challenges in today’s world, offering our perspective on what it's like to navigate love in 2024. Whether you’re navigating love, loss, or dating apps, this episode is about growth, connection, and how we’ve navigated our journey together, not just the good.

Charlotte and Olivia launched Toco in 2017 after feeling frustrated by the lack of options when it came to finding high-quality, 'cheeky' swimwear in the UK market. Having been spoilt for choice throughout their late teens and early 20s with vibrant, bold and flattering cuts bought in their Mum's home country of Trinidad, they decided to solve their problem and set to designing their first bikini set. After a lucky feature in The Daily Mail, their first collection sold out in 3 months. Lots of hand-written thank you notes and late-night packing sessions later (all whilst moonlighting alongside their full-time jobs as auditors and mums to 5 children between them), the sisters grew the business to a point where they were able to leave their corporate jobs and grow Toco full time. With year-on-year growth doubling and a 40% repeat customer base, what was once a 'cult' brand with a die-hard fan base, Toco is now on track to becoming one of the fastest-growing independent swimwear brands in the UK this year.Whether you're a business owner or not, you're going to leave today's episode with some gems. These co-founders share why it's possible to start a business and how they learnt to shut out the dismissive comments when people can't see your vision. They talk about the importance of putting your energy into the growth-focused tasks in the business, delegating and the lessons they wished they'd learnt sooner. From parenthood to doubling down on your finances, hearing their journey from accountants to business owners is powerful. It's the sisters & co-founders first podcast episode so please show them the love they so truly deserve. In this episode, Charlotte, Olivia and Amira discuss:What the early days of running a business looked likeHow a quickly drafted press release led to their PR breakThe way they navigated the negativity around leaving a 'secure' corporate careerWhere the inspiration for Toco came fromTheir risk-adverse approach and why your financials are crucialLearning from the challenges within the businessThe power of delegating your non-growth tasksHow to ask out a potential mentor What to expect from the new season of Toco in 2024Toco's Links:Instagram www.instagram.com/tocoswimWebsite www.tocoswim.comFollow me:Instagram https://www.instagram.com/the_communicationexpert/ LinkedIn https://www.linkedin.com/in/amiramansour/

She’s worked with 300+ women with everything from addressing gut issues & hormone imbalances to helping them heal their relationships with food.
Her passion for empowering women to find health came after years of her own struggles with her relationship with food, hormonal and gut imbalances that took over her life. We’ve packed so much into this episode including Sarah Elisabeth’s journey from her first binge aged 11, understanding why mindset is just as important as the practical tools, what looking after your gut health actually means and the fundamentals you’re going to want to ensure you’re doing in your life when it comes to your health habits.

In the penultimate solo episode of Season 4 we’re discussing stress responses aka your fight, flight or freeze response and why it’s stopping you communicating in the right way.
Often we find ourselves in conflict, blissfully unaware of our stress response being activated long before the heat or intensity of the conversation you now find yourself in. And it’s at this point we can wonder exactly how we got here.
Today, I’m talking you through 3 of the 5 stress responses, how to identify yours and why you need to stop communicating when this happens. I know, it may sound like a rare thing you’ll hear me saying. And I’ll also share exactly what to do to when you find yourself in your fight, flight or freeze response.

You’ve moulded yourself into the version of yourself you think the world wants to see. But the longer you wear these masks, the more disconnected you’ll become from who you really are. So if you’re feeling stuck or that you’re not living the life you want to, it’s a good indication that it’s time to choose you, not a diluted version of you. But it’s a journey so be patient, take your time and allow yourself to figure out what being authentic means to you.

Breaking out of a victim mindset isn’t easy and usually has been formed from some sort of unprocessed trauma. And so compassion is a huge part of communicating people with this mindset.
However, when they feel that everything is against them and think the universe is conspiring against every good thing that possibly comes their way, it can be challenging to know the most effective way to communicate. It also depends on what type of relationship you have with the individual. So today, Amira will explain exactly what a victim mindset is and what tools you need to communicate with them.

Today’s guest is Jennifer Lam, CEO and CO-Founder of Stitch & Story, which is the modern solution for the amateur crafter. They reinvent the traditional concepts of knitting and crochet to inspire a new generation of hobbyists. And trust me this is the coolest company who I cannot wait to see continue to grow. Jen created the company from her kitchen table as she saw a gap in the market where crochet and knitting were being lost on a whole generation of millennials. Her and co-founder Jen have grown the business from selling at market stalls like Spitalfields, to now partnering with Liberty’s and Selfridges.
In this episode, Jen talks about what it really means to be a woman in business and a female CEO. I don’t usually highlight the differences between gender, however for this episode it was so necessary. We explore what motherhood looks like as a business owner and whether she’s nailed the art of doing it all. She is honest and upfront with us about the challenges she faces and how she’s learnt to manage her chimp. We also talk about how she’s committed to communicating really well with her husband and how she’s learnt how to embrace hard conversations.
This episode is not just for the business owners. It’s for the mothers, the creators, the people trying to do it all and the ones that like to avoid a difficult conversation. By now I hope you expect nothing less than an episode packed with information, practical tips and whole lotta wisdom!
