This is episode three of Season 2 of the podcast and we will be continuing where we left off in episode two.
Our focus in this episode is on what the friendship of the Lord looks like, from the perspective of His will and plan. There are the things we want for our lives and then there are the things that God wants in order for His kingdom to come. The sweet spot of friendship is when what we want and what He wants are the same.
Listen, pray and share this with someone! Be blessed.
We are back with Episode 2 of our current series 'Heritage'. Here, we carry on from where we left off in the previous episode. We discuss finding strength in the presence of God, embracing the physical and spiritual aspects of serving God, living a blameless life, being wholehearted and cherishing righteousness.
The episode ends with a prayer for strength to do God's commandments. Listen, subscribe and share with someone! Episode three will follow in due course.
The podcast is back! The theme is Heritage - our inheritance in and from God and His inheritance in us: these two beautifully interwoven things.
Thank you for coming on this journey with us. Listen, share and subscribe to the podcast.
Episode two will follow shortly.
"Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever." Quoted from Psalm 23v6. In this episode, we discuss how there is more goodness, more mercy and more of the love of God for the saints to get to know and enjoy in everyday life. However, it requires faith, hope and trust in Jesus Christ.
In this bonus episode bookended by prayers of thanksgiving and hope to Jesus Christ, the God of Hope, we discuss everlasting life, the role of the heart over the mouth in Christian faith and personal hope as a critical component of the collective Christian hope for our Father's kingdom to come.
Bonus episode. For every time and for every thing that we tell ourselves that God is not enough, God (Jesus Christ) actually is enough. He is everything that we and the world needs. Do not settle for life as it is. Keep on pressing. There is always more with Jesus Christ our Lord who loves us all. Lean on Him. God bless you. Listen, meditate and share with someone.
Bonus episode. Hello again, hope this meets you well. This episode is the first of a number of episodes we will release as offshoots of the Made for More miniseries. 'As Touching' speaks on the similarities we all share in our plight on Earth and the power of the Lord Jesus Christ who is on the side of every child of God. Jesus Christ loves you. Life does get better when you accept Jesus Christ into your life and decide to walk with him every day. Be blessed.
The final episode of our Made for More series is here! Here we delve into the personal: exploring what a life of 'more' in and with Jesus Christ looks like. In this episode, our topics range from hopefulness in an imperfect world, to debate about the greatest rapper of all time, to reflecting in our own lives the change we hope for God to make in the world. There is also the prayer of salvation for all who want to take that rewarding step. This an episode to be listened to and shared with someone. The podcast will return. Feel free to subscribe for bonus episodes and our latest uploads.

Nowadays, what it means to be a Christian without compromising oneself is tough. At the same time that God is smoothing out our edges, the world is assaulting the Christian’s senses and sensibilities. Every day we are forced to rationalize, to make sense, to excuse, to rethink and to reconsider what we know in our heart of hearts to be true that by fruits we will know who people really are. Christianity has no role to play in accommodating human agendas. Christianity is about being Christlike. And Christians have to take a step of faith, believing in the Christian way that our so-called deficiencies are more than amply covered by God - that in our weakness, He is strong. Christianity does not rule people out who are in the process of trying to live out God’s truth. In every other walk of life, you can come off as an impostor and as a hypocrite but that’s not quite the case in this beautiful walk of ours. Do not bow to the pressure of the world.
TEMPLATES. This is episode 5, the final episode, of our series on the biblical templates Christians can live by. In a wide-ranging exploration of female identity, we discuss God's design intentions for women as individuals and in every other facet of womanhood. It is reassuring to know that the identity of every woman is rooted in and inspired by who God is Himself. Guest: Pastor Marie Raghoo.
TEMPLATES. This is episode four of our series on the biblical templates Christians can live by. A fully functioning Christian will astound, terrify, encourage, surprise, reinvigorate, anger, motivate, spotlight and restore people and their hearts, souls and minds back to God. No two Christians should be alike. Why would God make two of you? In this episode, we speak about individuality in Christianity and ground the idea within the context of God's Holy Spirit who can and does operate in myriad ways and means.
TEMPLATES. This is episode three of our series on the biblical templates Christians can live by. Sometimes in life we find ourselves lonely, we feel uncertain, unsure of everything and afraid to make decisions in the journey of life. You are not alone. In this episode, we speak about dealing with loneliness through Jesus Christ, the best confidante and friend at all times.
Guest: Pastor Ijeoma Oyeleye.
TEMPLATES. Episode two of our series on the biblical templates Christians should live by. A template refers to something that serves as a model for the purpose of copying. In this second episode, we speak how to deal with 'Why Me?' questions. Be blessed. Guest: Pastor Christyn Ijeoma Osuji.
TEMPLATES. Over the next five episodes, the focus of the podcast will be on the biblical templates Christians should live by. A template refers to something that serves as a model for the purpose of copying. In this first episode, we speak about how to love ourselves in the process of loving others, using the template of God's love for us all. Be blessed. - - - - Your actions are consistent but your reactions are not always the same. They are not always the same because you do take nuance and intricacy into account. You are not a machine. You are alive with love and with feeling that grows and adjusts to our needs. You are not a God of blanket, round-peg in a square-hole, ram-it-in by brute force and will kind of love. You are better than that. You have to be better than that. You are capable of feeling just like us but you are principled. Your ways are made known, as are your expectations. You love endlessly but this love is not aimless. It is directed at everyone but it is not misappropriated. You love pointedly but no one is prejudiced against. If anything, by choice and lifestyle, we prejudice ourselves against your love. All can get to know and feel it but not all will. This is not a stain on your incorruptible love. No one gets to have their way with your love, running roughshod over it and taking it for granted. You value loyalty and truth too much for a blind eye to be turned to feigned devotion. Your love has endless and forever-undeniable value even in a vacuum, even though it is not intended for a vacuum. Your love, in order to effect its full work, requires a willingness to be loved and a step of faith in the right direction. Your love is not a badge you wear to announce your superiority over and above everyone else; even though you could and would rightly be justified in doing so. Your love has a point. It is not an obligation that applies indiscriminately to all. It is simply not an obligation. It is a choice. A choice hinging on staying true to who you are. You love because it is in your nature - because it is who you are. It is the essence of you. You are love and love is you. You are neither a slave to anything or anyone, nor are you a slave to yourself. You are unbridledly free to love, to love first and to love always. Yet, you are principled and dogged about who can get to feel the benefits of that love. There is a sacred, promised place for those who believe; those whose beliefs are not just mere words. There is a sacred, promised place for those who love you too as you have shown them to.
Bonus episode. Faith comes by hearing God speak. It comes as a result of what we hear in a moment or after we have read, heard, or seen, (or whatever the case may be) something about Jesus Christ. Faith is needed to become a Christian. Full article can be found at: https://thatchristiannextdoor.com/portfolio/faith-comes-by-hearing-god/
Bonus episode. Sometimes you can be where God wants you to be, where He has made room for you, but not be who He wants you to be.
Bonus episode. Acceptance of our prayer is just as important as the answer to the prayer itself because answers will not come without acceptance. In order to gain acceptance of our prayers and the answers we seek, we must be aware of God's strategic plans for our lives and His kingdom, we must be ready to reassess our prayer points and be willing to seek greater clarity about where God has drawn His lines. There is a clear difference between acceptance and answer. Be blessed.
Bonus episode. God wants to offer you meaning. God wants to be someone for you. God can be and is someone for you. He is close and we believe He wants to reach you and He will reach you if you reach out for him. Our prayers go out to Ukraine, Ethiopia and Christians all over the world under duress because of their love for Jesus Christ. Stay strong! Yours is the Kingdom of God.
Bonus episode. Hi everyone, some thoughts on God's attempts at connection and the steps He has taken and will take in the pursuit for a people after His own heart.
Bonus episode. Hi everyone, just sharing some thoughts on the story of the woman with the issue of blood and what it reveals about God thoughtfulness and mercy to us.

Hi. This is episode 4 of Season 1 of the That Christian Next Door Podcast and the theme of the season is The Christian Journey. In this episode, I share a discussion I had over Zoom with my local church in Ireland about an important aspect of the Christian Journey, which is to do with developing closeness to God or, to put it another way, being in His presence. As Christians, God's presence should be a first resort for us. However, we need to be clear about what His presence is and isn't and we need to be aware of the requirements of His presence. In the episode, I speak about a solemn encounter I had during a time of prayer. The episode is rounded off like our last one with the following songs of worship: Blessed be the Name of the Lord (original artist unknown) and Lean on You by Chandler Moore. Be blessed. Scripture references: They that wait upon the Lord (Isaiah 40:31); I was glad when they said let us go to the house of the Lord (Psalm 122:1); Woman with the issue of blood (Luke 8:43-48); the Roman Centurion (Matthew 8:8); God dwells in the praises of His people (Psalm 22:3); He that offers praise glorifies Me (Psalm 50:23); In the presence of the Lord there is fullness of joy (Psalm 16:11); He that dwells in the secret place of the Most High (Psalm 91:1); Follow peace with all men and holiness without which no man shall see God (Hebrews 12:14); We are transformed every day into the image of Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 3:18); Abraham asked to sacrifice His only son Isaac (Genesis 22:1-14); The wedding in Cana (John 2:1-12); King Saul trying to kill Israel's future King David (1 Samuel 19:1-10); Daniel in the lions' den (Daniel 6:1-24); Jesus' disciples in the storm (Mark 4:35-41); The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases (Lamentation 3:22-23); Who art thou O great mountain?! (Zechariah 4:7); Burnt offering and sacrifices, he never wanted (Psalms 51:16-17); I am no longer worthy to be called your son (Luke 15:19); My sheep know my voice (John 10:27-28).

Over the next two episodes I will share two excerpts from a message I shared with my local church in Ireland over Zoom. In it, I discuss the necessity for growth as Christians and the need for God that is designed into everyone of us. At the end of the episode is a beautiful worship session - where my wife and I speak to God through song of our indebtedness to Him. Be blessed. Intro music: Lovely Piano Song by Vernon. Outro music: Breathe Out Your Praise by Bethel Music, There is a Redeemer by Melody Green-Sievright, and You Satisfy by Upper Room (ft. Elyssa Smith). In this episode, I also make mention of a song called 'I Just Want To Be Where You Are' which I performed towards the end of episode 2 and 'Daily Bread' by Elyssa Smith. Do check them out if you get a chance.

Intro music: Lovely Piano Song by Vernon; Outro music: I Just Want to be Where You Are by Don Moen.
