Jeremiah shares his opinion about politics and faith. Elections can elicit a lot of strong emotions. We remember that God is in control and our identity is in Him and not a specific political party. It is possible to participate in politics as an act of service to God. It can be challenging sometimes to see through the ugliness of an election and remember that.

As Christian fathers, it is our duty to raise our children to lead Christian lives. It can be a challenging task and everything around us including entertainment can make that challenging.
Jeremiah and Matt get into a conversation about some popular children's movies that have gotten a bad reputation. They talk about the importance of discernment in what they expose their children to without reading too much into a story.

Do you catch yourself justifying your wrongdoing by comparing your wrong to the sins of others? This is an earthly trap that we fall into when we try to justify what we have done. Our world places levels on wrongdoing and punishes accordingly. We know that God does not punish us this way. He is a just God and punishes all evil with the same punishment but sent us Jesus to take our place in punishment.

Consider this your reminder to pray. We have busy lives, a lot going on, children to get from here to there and here to there. We need to spend time cultivating our relationship with God. He uses many different ways to remind us of our need to pray.
