This isn’t as much for you as it is for me. It’s Advice for Myself. What advice would you give yourself? 5, 10, 20 years ago? About that time? About that season? About that relationship? What do you wish you’d known? This one is for all the should’ve’s and could’ve’s we reflect on. This one is for me. This one is for you.
So often, I fast forward myself to a more desirable future state. In reality, I can’t get there…I can only be here, now.
It’s been a full year in the house! Tons of progress has been made, and it’s good to remind myself of that when I can!
I learn hard lessons about dealing with contractors, am visited by a cousin, and make good kitchen progress!
Interesting idea coming from the universe today from my friend/realtor! We’ll see how it can go…
Not that I talk about HOW to talk to yourself (I to myself), but that this is an example I want to look back on as a sample for this moment and these feelings in my life.
Meandering thoughts on the house and what I should do with it. I’m still invested in keeping it long-term…that’s the original goal and play, but at what point does the plan need to stay flexible!?
My fingers are frozen…would type a longer description if it wasn’t so slow to just type this.
A little time has passed since the last recording. Lots has happened. I felt not completely comfortable disclosing everything in this one, but this is for me…notes to understand my thoughts and process right here, and now.
Thoughts of purpose, meaning, and actually knowing exactly what you need to do…no advice required.
Guest numero dos on the episode today. What is advice they’d give themselves?: Trust Your Gut
This is a deep dive (and goes all over the place). We talk impressiveness, moving on to higher levels of hockey, and getting other people to buy into what you offer. And guess what…we hit a time cap! So you only need an hour, and then you’ll get cut off! AAAAAAND we get all existential up in this ish
It’s the core of who we each are…our egos are simultaneously what drive us and what can destroy us. Not an expert by any means, just my ideas!
This is a one-sided recording of a conversation I had with a client. Unlike other episodes, this is a little more chopped up and broken apart. Still some gold nuggets throughout!
Hopefully you enjoy this car-produced episode of AFM. Deception is all around us. The flower convinces a bee to take its pollen. Peacocks show their feathers. Humans “fake” their true selves to a point on the surface for acceptance and love. It’s all nature.
Sometimes we think one thing CAUSES another when they really don’t. Events correlate with each other that might have underlying causes that simply can’t be seen or understood yet. I try my hand at arguing not against, but perpendicular to a recent real estate housing report from First Bank & Trust.
Episode 1 of the Advice for Myself podcast, where we kick things off with the inspiration to begin and the underlying philosophy of the show. This is for me. Wholly and unapologetically.
