Beginnings: Recent Episodes

Cecily Riley

Having written novels and novellas, I have discovered the need to engage with my readers. Having a tolerable narrating voice, I thought I might make my writing more readily availble to the earbud generation, have some direct feedback from my readers and actually know which of my writing ideas interest my readers. The style and content and duration will vary widely. It is the point. Diversity and variety. Always.

Hello Dear Readers,

Welcome to my podcast. What I am proposing to do here is give you a taste of a story so you can decide if you want me to write more and what should happen next in that story. Just comment below the recording. What happens with your input is up to me, but thank you. Other feedback at  cecily@hawkwoodbooks.co.uk

A few words about myself.

I have been writing for about 30 years, although in English only recently as my mother tongue is French.  I wrote my first novels and novellas in French before turning to English. Why, I hear you ask, would you change that? Well, I found that English has become my natural language, which means that it is the language I think in, the language I dream in, the language that comes the most naturally to me. Apparently, my written English is good enough to be published in England since my series of novellas was picked up. You can see them here: www.secretsofadancinggirl.co.uk

The next podcast will be the opening pages of the first novella. Do you want me to write the remaining twelve novellas that were planned ? Simply comment under the corresponding recording.

If you wish to follow my writing activities on a more visual level, I also have an Instagram account https://www.instagram.com/cecily_riley_the_writer/

Thank you for tuning in. Hopefully, you will find this collaborative process as interesting and innovative as it is for me.

Take good care.
