The Highlander Podcast is produced by students at The Frederick Gunn School in Washington, Connecticut. The podcast highlights featured stories from the student body newspaper, The Highlander.
In this episode, Karl Hammer interviews Gunn alum Tucker Paron '19 on his experience playing soccer at Gunn and his life as a collegiate athlete and data science major at the University of Vermont. In the inaugural episode of Season 3, Editor-in-Chief Bridie Strowe and Chief Political Correspondent Jenny Macler interview Vermont State Senator Becca Balint. Senator Balint is running for Vermont’s only US House of Representatives seat. If elected, she will become the first ever woman elected to Congress from Vermont. On the podcast, she discussed the depolarization of politics and gave advice to young people on the importance of becoming active citizens in their schools and communities.
