Psalm 62 Memory Church. My desire is that you would play this for your kids as they fall asleep at night, so that in a little while they would have a psalm memorized and also know the melody to sing it.

I am very sick this weekend, but I wanted to share a link to a documentary I really enjoyed. I think the lives of the saints are most powerful when they show their doubts, frustrations, and struggles. That is what they do in this documentary.

Apologies! I did the meditation on the Saturday readings rather than Sunday.

An Advent Prayer St Joseph, you came into the cave in Bethlehem, and you cleaned it of dung and decay and lit a lamp. You did your best to make it a comfortable place for the Virgin to bring forth the Son of God. Do the same in my heart oh Joseph. I don't even fully know what is dung and decay, but show me what needs to be removed, and help make my soul be a more comfortable place for Jesus to come into. My little mother, you are the gate of heaven. It was only through you that Father found a worthy place for His Son to enter into the world. Come to my unworthy heart and prepare to hold Jesus there so that I might be close to Him and you. Holy Spirit, you ache to bring forth Life, and I ache for you to bring forth Life within me. I am not worthy, my Inn is crowded. Come and transform my soul into the silent, peaceful cave of Bethlehem, and when it is ready, overshadow that cave and bring forth the Life of Jesus into my heart.

Sunday Jan 14th: Happy Valentines Day! I suggest for lent you pray immediately upon getting up. Try to pray for as many minutes as you are years old. Step 1: Light a candle at your prayer place and kneel down and ask your guardian angel to help you pray. Step 2: Give thanks and adoration to our Father who is in heaven for the day He has given you. Say the Our Father or Psalm 94 (excerpt below). Step 3: Go to a place where you imagine Jesus is praying, maybe it is by the rock on the hill overlooking the sea, and talk to Him about your day. Tell Him of you love for Him.

Come, ring out our joy to the Lord; hail the rock who saves us. Let us come before him, giving thanks, with songs let us hail the Lord.

A mighty God is the Lord, a great king above all gods. In his hands are the depths of the earth; the heights of the mountains are his. To him belongs the sea, for he made it and the dry land shaped by his hands.

Come in; let us bow and bend low; let us kneel before the God who made us for he is our God and we the people who belong to his pasture, the flock that is led by his hand.
