Guest Bio:
A proud product of New York City, Damani Corbin is actively involved in many community organizations and grassroots initiatives in both New York City as well as Guyana where he is passionate about effecting social change through economic initiatives.

Damani is a board member of Linden Fund USA, a non-profit organization based in the U.S. but focused on the revitalization of Linden, Guyana. In addition, he is the Vice President of Economic Development at Blacks on Walls Street Inc., a non-profit organization in NYC focused on closing the opportunity gap of underrepresented African Americans in Corporate America.

Professionally, Damani works at a startup technology company, Weaveworks. Damani was brought into Weaveworks to develop and implement the sales strategy for their Enterprise Software Platform. The reality of working in a startup is that you often wear multiple hats. Along with scaling sales across the US, Damani is very active with Developer Experience as well as Field and Product Marketing Initiatives.

Prior to Weaveworks Damani worked at Pivotal Software where he spent a lot of time building out the Developer Experience strategy in NYC and really taking his customers on the journey of adopting Cloud Native technologies. After college, Damani built a great reputation at Xerox Corporation prior to moving to Oracle Corporation where he touched every layer of the technology stack which makes him very rounded.

Damani enjoys traveling and spending quality time with his wife, Melissa, and their three children Malik, Micah & Malia.
