Members of the 2022 MHSAA 6A State Champion MHS Lady Wildcat Basketball Team are our guests on the latest edition of the True Blue Podcast. We sat down with Head Coach Deneshia Faulkner and players Debreasha Powe, Kayli Hite, and Taleah Anderson to talk about winning the 2022 MHSAA 6A State Title, team chemistry, and more.
The Meridian Lady Wildcats Basketball Team accomplished something no other Lady Wildcat basketball team had done before. Led by senior Debreasha Powe, the Lady Wildcats basketball team won its first state championship in school history by defeating Harrison Central 49-43 in the MHSAA 6A Girls Basketball Finals in Jackson, MS on Saturday, March 5, 2022.

Pre-K Screening and Kindergarten Registration are in full swing as we sit down with LaVonda Germany, Elementary Curriculum Director for Meridian Public School District, to talk about the process for both during the third edition of the True Blue Podcast. Some topics discussed are:

The second episode of the True Blue Podcast features a conversation between Meridian Public School District Superintendent Dr. Amy Carter and Mr. Rob Smith, Director of Ross Collins Career and Technical Center. During their conversation, they discuss the values of having students leave high school with not only a diploma but a skill or trade as well. Ross Collins Career and Technical Center has 13 programs that cover many career pathways that students can explore.
The first edition of the True Blue Podcast features MPSD Community Engagement Specialist Deidre Bland and Meridian High School College and Counselor Tiffanie Roberts as they discuss things that MHS Seniors should be doing as they prepare for college and graduation.
