A moment of passion and nine months later you’re a parent.  Life changes completely.  What do you do with this tiny little human?  How do you prepare him or her to be able to handle what life will throw at them?  How do you teach them right from wrong?  The biggest responsibility of your lives is now before you as parents.  Where is the instruction book?  Very soon, we realize that we are clueless about how to do this job.  So, ‘good or bad’, most of us default to using the parenting styles and words that were used on us.  If the experience was good, then great.  If the experience was not so good, many of us will default to still using the parenting styles we experienced.  How do we prepare for the hardest of all jobs...parenting?

One of the greatest things about events that have already happened to us is that they are in the past. There is nothing we can do to change things, events or words that happened in our past.  Right or wrong, good or bad, happy or sad, positive and uplifting or negative and destructive our words or actions set into motion a series of responses. Elapsed time helps us to see if what we did helped or hurt others within our sphere of influence. If the event was positive ...celebrate. If it didn’t accomplish what you wanted...forgive yourself and move on.

For many of us facing a situation involving the stress of anger, we unknowingly reach back into the past and use words or tools that previously didn’t work and in doing so we multiply the negative affect into the present and launch it into the future.

It seems un-necessary to cover the subject “How we communicate.”  Even before we could speak as a baby, we started learning how to communicate what we wanted and what we didn’t want.  But, as an adult, unless you have taken extensive study on how to get information in your head across to another individual, you may not really know some of the biggest ways that cause people to become angry, scream at you, or physically assault you because of their anger.  This chapter will go over some of the basics that you may have never been presented and this information will give us a foundation on which to build your skills for what’s coming in future Episodes.

Thanks for coming to my podcast.  This is a place were we talk about the most common response that's happening in society today.  It often hurts people we love, it destroys relationships, and it really gets us nowhere...but people keep using Anger on others.  Here we'll learn some things and we'll get to hear experts talk about hints on how we can change and how to deal with all those angry people we live with every day.  And...sometimes we'll laugh at examples of Anger that were downright funny...and still didn't help.  Again, thanks for coming here for Now that makes me mad! Oh, and please tell your friends to tune into this podcast.
