This weeks episode follows on from last week in which we posed a common question: Can you be a normal drinker?
Lewis addresses the question this week, drawing on his experience of supporting people with a range of levels of alcohol dependence issues. The perception of what is 'normal' usually depends on our individual backgrounds, experience and subjective ideas about what is 'normal' drinking. This can vary hugely from one person to another, as Lewis illustrates.
If you are concerned about your drinking and you want to moderate or stop, Lewis urges you to think carefully about the specific outcomes you want for yourself, rather than just vaguely thinking you want to be a 'normal drinker'.

· What is normal drinking?
· Is it your fault if you cannot drink responsibly or moderately?
· If you cannot do this – does this, make you abnormal?
· Is it reasonable or possible to expect everyone to be a normal drinker?
· Why can some people take or leave alcohol and others cannot?
