In this episode, we talk with Ken Sweeney, Photographer for the Kansas City Slammers, host club of the Heartland Nationals Model Car Contest, Show, and Swap Meet. We are talking about what makes a good picture, how to set up your camera and what to consider when taking pictures for magazine and internet submission.

This was a fun episode to record, and we hope you enjoy listening. Please be sure to let us know what you think by replying to Amshowpodcast@yahoo.com We would love to hear your opinions, commentary on the show, or just to say hello to a fellow modeler.

When you are done listening, please leave us a 5 star review as this helps promote the show to other modelers. Also, if there's someone you think might like to listen to the show, show them how to download and listen. Promotion by word of mouth and sharing with friends is one of the most effective ways to help the show grow.

Thanks to our listeners sharing the show, we are getting to a point that we will need to pay for better services and get better equipment. We would also like to begin some promotional events such as giveaways and prizes. So keep an eye out for that in the coming months.

Again, we would like to thank you, the listeners, the modelers, our friends for helping to make the Amshow Plastic Modeling Podcast, we wouldn't have anyone to listen to our nonsense if it weren't for you!

Now get to the bench and scratch on some plastic!

The AMSHOW Plastic Modeling Podcast presents our first group build. After careful deliberation over what topic to build, we decided to copy the Model Geeks and do another A-4 Skyhawk Group build! HAHAHA, just kidding! We have been wanting to do a Skyhawk build for several years, and as Hasegawa has recently reissued the TA-4J in 1/48 scale and the upcoming 1/48 scale A-4M from Magic Factory, I thought is was about time to start building some scooters.

the rules are as follows: You MUST use an A-4 Skyhawk. Scale doesn't matter. You must build it however you see fit! If you want to build something in a Steam Punk theme, make it into a transformer, or something from the Maschinen Kreiger universe, have at it! Kitbash with a harrier and make a VTOL version, it is all up to you. Get creative! You can make it in any genre as long as you use an A-4 Skyhawk kit. You can even dig one those shelf queens off of your shelf of doom.

Judging will be done by Ken Reed and Steve Kemper, hosts of the AMSHOW Podcast. We will be judging strictly on construction and presentation. All aspects of period correctness, detail accuracy, and authenticity are out the window because although we love our Scooters, we want you to have FUN!!! Bribes will be accepted, but won't necessarily ensure you a winning position, but you might get a sticker.

There will be a winner, and that winner will be chosen on the basis that we like the build! There will be prizes like stickers, shirts, model kits, or just random cool stuff given weekly throughout the build. So share your in progress pictures on the AMSHOW Plastic Modeling Podcast Facebook page.

The A-4 Skyhawk Group Build will begin on November 4, 2023 and will end February 3, 2024. We will be having a live chat on Feb 3 to announce the winner, then hang out and build some models.

So get your gear and kits in order, we'll be starting in 3 weeks from the time this is posted.
