Let me start by saying, Delulu is not the solulu. Especially when it comes to matters relationships. In the last episode of this series, we delve straight in to the opinions of some of my friends concerning the ways in which we have grown delulu going into serious relationships and the as a result, the deal breakers that they have learnt to uphold. But if being delulu works for you, who are we to wake you up from your day dream. But at least shes_kemunto has done her part to show us the dreadful cost of not staying sober with our social decisions. So enjoy this episode please ๐
You might want to sprinkle some salt around yourself before you listen to this episode. Hehe. What we are talking about is not a red flag, it's a black flag! In the past episodes we have seen how blind people are to red flags, how much more a black one? Some people choose not to believe in black magic, but for those who know, you know! Kwanza African Black Magic? Weeeh ebu ata ju ya hio story, katika jina la baba...I talk about this being the whole inspiration behind the series; the things people in our age overlook and ignore going into binding relationships. And this one has to be the most serious and wicked of them all. But do samofyu care? You have to put on your big boy pants when listening to this one, but I still manage to lighten things up, so don't be scared ๐ Whether you believe in it or not, point is, don't be naรฏve!
And just like that, Valentine is over. ๐ Some of you still have roses ๐น and chocolates ๐ซ, and some of you have jealousy and regrets. Iss life. But in effort to help you get a better person for Valentine's in future, I give you questions you should ask during The Talking Stage. We have seen how poor diligence can lead to stressful relationships, and this time round, we endeavour to do things differently. As a continuation from last week's episode, we delve into why it is important to consider your potential partner's personal handling and growth initiatives, their interpersonal relationships and the state of their health. All to say, the talking stage is an important stage. In the meantime, ati nani ndio mzabibu na nani ni mkulima? ๐๐
Valentine's is coming... You know the question that follows. ๐ But to more important things beyond the roses and violets, chocolates and diamonds. More important things like, can she cook? Has he really moved on from his ex? Are you two of the same religion/faith? Among many many other things that are supposed to be deal breakers in relationships, but look at us. A generation that thinks love conquers all. ๐ ๐ How doomed are we!In this series I dubbed, RomantiKali Speaking, we tell each other the bitter truth about where we are failing on our way to long term relationships; the goal being marriage. In that same spirit, we will then attempt to repair those areas by reminding ourselves of the things that matter in long term relationships. The things that our parents taught us to consider. I'm happy to wear my Dr. Love coat on this one. So, mjango, are you ready for this injection?
Well well well! What do we have here. A generation of people who do not know how to take a no! Serious situation this one because some of the many squabbles and horrific events we have been witnessing are simply because men (and women) don't know how to handle rejection. Today, in this podcast, I handle you squarely! ๐ Especially for the men, men's conference is coming up and we have to shape up some simp behaviours. In fact, let me get my whip!#StopFemicide
Sigh. Words fail me on this one guys. Just be encouraged. Tell yourself and anyone who needs this, that it shall be well. And for Sam a.k.a. Sadinho, I had to hit the rewind button on this one, taking everyone down memory lane, to when you were in the element of your days. โTill we meet again brother ๐
Mjango here we go again. Today a certain experience had me diving into the deep end (almost literally) of thoughts and I had a epiphany on what it means to be a Nairobian. Nairobians are not normal people, both in the good and bad sense ๐ . In the bad sense, you'll find out through a shocking story that left a girl tied to a chair for 24 hours in an AirBnb and another tied to the heavens. So unfortunate. In the good sense, it's the resilience we have as a result of what we go through as a city and as a country. There's no storm Nairobians (Kenyans) cannot weather. And that's the spirit we are all going with this year. That's the Spirit of a Nairobian!Sema Amen na utoe sadaka ๐
It's a new year, it's a new season. ๐ฅณTime to get those resolutions rolling again. While you're about to listen to the manifestation of one of my resolutions, which is going back to podcasting,๐๏ธ I attempt to help all of us set the radar in the right direction before this year grows beards. With a few examples peculiar to both the ladies and gents, I go over what it means to be a cautionary tale and areas we need to look out for so as not to end up being the example people use when talking about how not to live life. But if your life's purpose is to be the monkey that dies to scare the rest, please by all means, take the first leap and we will learn how to to live. ๐Nuff said, now listen and live ๐ It's going to be an interesting journey now that I'm on a solo run, but si you will kipchoge with me mjango ๐
Wassup mjango! ๐ Well, we had a good run, didn't we? We hope we filled your days with laughter and sense. ๐ We hope you'll remember us for that and more. For now, we have to hit the benches. no hard feelings. Watch and listen to our parting shot for you as a duo on our podcast. ๐Special appreciation to Jairus for the good times on the shows. ๐ฏ Peace โฎ๏ธ
"Loyalty is not the only thing that holds a relationship," "I can forgive a cheating partner," "I am in an open relationship," ...
Are all words from the Inauma hit maker, Bien Aime Sol. Hehe, clearly, inamuuma sana but he cannot say it straight on, and instead wrote a song for it. Lakini amesema atazoea.
And so should Jairus soea hio sauti of a cheating wife because it seems it's becoming the order of the day to institutionalise cheating ๐

Men with small sizes are stressed human beings ๐ True or true? Well, generally, size is an issue for men just as nyash is a pressure women have. I mean, Vera manzeh. ๐ It shows that we are all not any different. So even men do have techniques to promote their concreteness, hehe. We discuss them as we debate over what matters most, the size of the dog, or how he walks the dog.

But aren't single mums just as good for dating like single chics? I mean, we all have pasts too, some of which we caused upon ourselves and some of which life just bended us over and forced itself into us. A number of things to note that happen in the quest for a degree:
1. When a lecturer helps in stealing, sorry, finding the correct answers in an exam.
2. When a lecturer does not 'sponsor' answers in an exam room but 'sponsors' marks later courtesy of a sexy incentive. (We know these things.)
3. And last but not least, sisi wenye hatuibi mtihani, shida yetu inakuanga gani? ๐

What is a harambee? A harambee is the process of collecting alms to help a particular course. What is a degree? Degree is the certification of the completion and excellence of a university Bachelor's course.
And so, what is Degree ni Harambee? Degree ni Harambee is the collection hence sharing of intellectual property gathered in an Academic arena to help each other (as comrades) to excel in the exams. Even further, Degree ni Harambee is commonly used as a slogan to imply that nobody should succeed on their own or fail on their own when we can help each other succeed in academics.

Life hits in a different way when you realise you really do not know people. We smile and laugh together but how safe will we be when the lights go off? When the law doesn't apply? When the possibility of judgement is lifted? Is it possible to do good even when there is absolutely no possibility of consequences? Join in the conversation as we unravel just what it really means to be part of humanity through the example about what happened during a real experiment done, where there were no consequences at all.
It might sound hypothetical because we already know that life is full of consequences. Our lives today are the consequences of our yesterdays. But hold up! What if, just what if the consequences were lifted? What if a pass was given to you to do just whatever you want? What would we see out of you? Do we have deep-seated things that would crawl out like caged animals? Even before consequences are lifted, we have in one way or another been in a state of mind that convinced us that consequences were far fetched. Yes now we are asking, what were we capable of doing? Today, we uncover the beast that lies caged in all of us. We lure him out with absolute jokes and laughter but tame him with a whip of seriousness!
Touching where it hurts the most. Or maybe it doesn't until your bff actually grows a liking, a predator's eye, more like a fisi eye towards your recent Ex! Just what will you do?
Don't just break up, break up in style! I mean, he cheated right? And the punishment of cheating is to? So leave an effect in the room as you walk out. Break the glasses and wall unit even. Throw words like a bird that poops all over like it has a stomach problem. Say things you will probably regret. Why should it be called a break up when you don't make it feel like an actual break? When things in his house still remain intact without breaking? Maybe you are not the dramatic. Then we bet you're gonna love the idea of ghosting. Poof! Disappear without apology and without effect. But fact is, the effect pf this one is long time. It hurts like a knife to the spleen. Come on try it. But do so having this in mind. What if the same was to be done on you? Hehe. A lot of pun intended.
But what if she comes back? All nice and caring as if to want to mend things between you? Remember she broke your heart like a MF! And now she's crawling back? ๐ Nice joke eh? Try again next time nigga! Or not! ๐ Because you still have something lingering for him. He is your weakness and you know it girl ๐. Anyway we are saying at least get closure. You're unable to move on and commit to any other serious relationship. You know why babyboo? Because you didn't get closure! And you boy, spare the girl some and drop your ego. She needs that closure. Let's get to the part about when and where you should meet to talk and have closure. CODE RED! DON'T MEET INDOORS JUST THE TWO OF YOU! Utashangaa sana my friend ๐
You've probably heard, "Don't come in between to people who are in love. Best said in Swahili, "Mambo ya wapendanao usiyaingilie." But there are times we are the ones who invite them to come in between especially to try arbitrate issues outstanding between you and your lover. You most likely go to the one person that is closely affiliated to your lover. (Put an impending danger sound effect.) Worse when you go to his/her bestfriend (Now put the Nigerian movie shock sound effect.) And then the efforts turn from arbitrating to other FISHY and very FISHY affairs between you two. Out of the frying pan, into the rebound! ๐
Of course cheating is not warranted in a relationship, you might say. Up until the time you hear your partner is going abroad for a year or two - if one year is not enough to give you heart conditions and worse, cause a state of the art dry spell. So just when can we give a hall pass in a relationship? Maybe when your partner cheats first. But look at you eagerly waiting for your partner to cheat so you can dive into the spree as well. Speaking of sprees, people go on revenge sprees after a breakup! Intense right?
In this episode on The Mjango Series Podcast, we realize that in the terrain of romantic relationships, it's all roses and violets until a heart is broken. Of course it's not funny, but it is when you stop and recall how you became religious again after a breakup. Okay. No one is judging anyway. But we have to ask this, have you ever told your partner, "Baby wacha tuombe." You see? That dead air! That's what we are laughing. Or maybe you have. Well, were you praying only that God may keep your relationship from breaking? We laugh even harder mjango.
